- I finally got the MNNTHBX M-take intake system after a long wait as well as the re-flashed ECU for the Yoshimura RS3 Exhaust / Intake combo from Cameron Jones Racing. This video is an install of the intake and ECU replacement.

Follow up review in the overall performance please👌
WARNING! 11:05 This larger tube is NOT a gas tank vent. It is the refueling overflow tube. When you are refueling and the tank is overfilled or if gas is spilled around the fill neck area it drains down a hole next to the opening and down through this tube instead of over the sides of the tank.
This tube is normally held in place by a split tube on the left side of the stock air box so that spilled fuel can drip out of the split to the ground. It does not go into the inside of the air box. This overflow tube should be routed down the side of the cylinder toward the ground. Not allowing this overflow tube to drain fuel to the ground when it needs to could become a FIRE HAZARD. The fuel tank vent tube goes to the evap. can system and is not affected by this intake change.
Thanks for the info.
That Trail 70 is nice =)
Great video, very thorough!! I'll be doing some of the same mods you've done, so thanks for the attention to detail!!
from where I will bye the parts?
Thanks for this excellent "how to" vid.
Nicely done!
It would be awesome if you included links to all the products in your description! :)
Great vid btw
Good point - i've added the links to the ECU and intake to the description. Thanks!
I am getting the foot peg brackets chromed for mine! Should be nice!
Get the monkey paw shift lever chromed too.
Sorry. Monkey paw Brake lever not the shift lever.
How did you like it with just the header, any tuning needed by Added header only?
What are your thoughts on the Mnnthbx intake vs. a Chimera? The Chimera seems to be the popular choice, but I don’t know if that’s because it actually performs better or not. Do you think it’s a wash performance wise and it’s more about the preferred look?
Performanxe difference is probably negligible. The reason I moved away from the MNNTHBX version is that it used the mounting points that I wanted to use for an oil cooler and oil catch can. Plus that Dingerbuilt titanium intake looks amazing.
@@eastcoastish Cool, thanks for your perspective. I don’t know enough about them to make a good informed purchase choice, so it helps. I wasn’t able to find any comparisons of intakes online.
Was it necessary to replace the ECU after swapping the intake?
When I changed to a Yoshi can and an open intake on my Zuma 125 and it wasn't needed.
You don't have to, but you'll get more out of it with tuning. I started with the CJR tuned ECU, then went to the PCV, and ended up with the aRacer which got me the most horespower.
did you ever have any more trouble with the air filter coming loose? Mine has fell off 3 times, so far. I have not yet given up, but in danger of losing it one day. Any ideas how to stop this issue? I've change clamps, cleaned the areas with alcohol and added a thin layer of tape to the metal fitting the filter attaches to.
Put a small stainless screw thru it
7:00 what model of motorcycle is that?

where did you buy that seat?

Pain in the ass all those tight gaps to work on
Generally like their products but this fell short with the dead grey color. They should offer it in some other choice than zombie flesh.
I'm with you on the boring color. The fitment around the frame is really nice though. I'm moving to a 34mm throttle body so will be changing it up here soon - stay tuned and subscribe!
Hi, Will this exhaust “adapt” to a CT Dax replica?
I'm not sure, if I have time I'll pull it off and see how close it fits on the CT70.
It might be prudent to let peeps know to disconnect the battery first up.
Why? I've done this on a few different bikes and never disconnected the battery.
How was the performance after the ecu flash?
It was noticeable but compared to the 181 big bore kit, nothing to write home about. If you're looking for more power, I'd go with a big bore kit + aRacer Mini, instead of taking all the incremental steps i did
@@eastcoastish I just want another 5mph top end, do you think the ecu with pipe and intake will get me there?
Funny; I think I have all the same tools.
Not sure if I want a 22 monkey or a crf125 for my kids to learn. I think kids is more important.
For the kids, I'd go with the CRF125, it's going to handle crashes a lot better than the Monkey.
@@eastcoastish very true. Thank you.
Up high so water crossinh
after all this , we don't get to hear it ? phhhhttt.
