I feel like clay face is a sorely underused Batman villain. Poor guy’s only been in three Batman games

Clayface is literally like a "filler" for villains. He deserves more body.

I prefer Batgirl for both segments. The first has her combine truth and empathy when delivering the bad news to Clayface, making the latter's freak-out more his fault than her's; the second involves not only being (relatively) smarter about initially thinking Clayface was defeated by water, but also having more flow in her conversation with Montoya.

I think overall batgirl and red hood are my favourites when it comes to dialog throughout the whole game.
Nightwing has his good moments, but not many.
And Robin.... weeeell... he's a let down and I didn't really connect with him at all.
Shame really because Robin should be the best considering he's the main sidekick throughout 90% of batman stories.

I chose Tim Drake for the Clayface missions because of that one episode from Batman the Animated Series.

This Clayface is so scuffed. Not only can he command armies of clay goons, but he can make clones of himself that pack just as much of a punch as him. Not to mention that he goes full demon mode during his second boss fight. Like, jesus, that design when you set him ablaze.
