At one point he said he wanted dick to be Batman but then said he wanted Batman to be more like Nightwing. HE truly wanted to pass the mantle to Dick
The ending feels more organic and true with Nightwing. Especially considering how Bruce chose him to eventually become the next Batman in the comics. Everything about this ending just feels right.

I noticed that too. In each scene, Talia aims to kill Jason, Babs, and Tim right off the bat, then Bruce steps in the way. The same thing happens here, but, Talia goes to "slash" Dick in the back, which is ... interesting. 🤔 Dick would've been gravely injured, not killed. I wonder if that was hesitation on Talia's part since she knows how much Dick means to Bruce .... I've read quite a few comics with Dick and Talia exchanging dialogue and it's never really good (not bad narratively, but in that they hate each other) since Talia is always fighting for Bruce's affections and Dick doesn't have to. It's unsaid here in this scene, but I REALLY WONDER if Talia knows deep down that Bruce would never leave Dick behind nor kill him and to her horror, it's proven true. Not even the PIT could turn Bruce against his son. Plus, just before Talia goes to slash him she says, *"If this is how it must be ...!"* This seems to imply that even though she would love to have Dick completely gone from Bruce's life, she knows it won't make him genuinely love her. Then what that leaves is her scraping together a less-than-ideal vision of Bruce leading the league with Dick still around; just to keep her "beloved" in line. Talia is straight-up jealous, and her face getting the [satisfying] Bat-fist treatment immediately after trying to harm Nightwing just further cements her jealousy. Just my theory.

personally, I prefer Jason's version, he understand what it feels like being dead and revived by the pit, and since it's the scene where Bruce's is revived by the pit, Jason's version fit perfectly. the dialogues fit perfectly "you never gave up on me, I'm not going to give up on you", 'Bruce, Talia tried to break you with the lazarus pit, remember how you brought me back? you have to fight for it this time!"

You wanna know something, if dick or Jason had to kill bruce yes it would take the heaviest toll on them. But they know that they would do what had to be done, and they know that bruce would want them to. To keep gotham safe, they are the only one's with the will to put him down. Barbra, tim, and even damian wouldn't have the willpower to follow through with it.
She is Middle Eastern/Arabic in the comics. The funny thing is Bruce/Batman's mother was Jewish. So Damian is half Jewish/half Arabic XD. And Dick Grayson is Romani. XD
