To be completely honest, when Adam left and Matt replaced him I was really apprehensive. I didn't listen to much of the stuff the band put out with Matt. Don't get me wrong, they out some good songs with Matt. But this, this is on a different level. Heavier and just an absolute brutal song. I absolutely love it!

I just had the privilege of seeing 3 days grace in concert (Rust Belt, East Moline, July 19th) and the energy these guys bring is so amazing and infectious! Matt is so good at what he does and I hope everyone gives him the love he deserves with this band.

Wanna hear something insane.. Some of these guys were my friends when I lived in Norwood when I was 13, 14ish I think, I honestly can't remember it was so long ago and I knew sooo many people in that school, everyone was so nice to me there and I was being moved around alot at that time of my life. My uncle had a Ranch and he would supply Dj equipment to the school for high school dances and I think it was our grade 10 grad I wanted to say thanks to all my great friends, cause when I lived in Norwood they all treated me like family, except this one racist kid right.. So I threw a huge grade 10 grad party for all the grade 10's at our Trail Riding Ranch and all day I gave trail rides, we had food and everything, later there was a dj, I would dj some and then I had a few friends I knew had a band.. So I just casually asked them if they wanted to play that night. They rocked it.. There was quite a few of us there I remember and then I moved away.. My brother was friends with some of them too when he lived with my uncle before me and I think they were talking on Facebook and I didn't have it so nobody could find me and he told me they said thanks. I was like for what? And we were very young at the time, so they weren't sure at the time if they really wanted to be famous, but after seeing us all cheering and screaming for them, they knew then they wanted to make it.. And me, I was going all over Ontario and ppl didn't have email back in the early 90's then so it was rare for ppl to stay in touch right..
So, yeah.. We got to see them as the original band and all their demo songs I think.. It was so many years ago I can't remember what they played but we all got to see the original band play.. I think, but I'm pretty sure cause I didn't learn of the band until he told me that they one of them contacted him on FB and said to say thanks and that they called themselves Three Days Grace..
At the time I was like, "Cool.. Who are they?" They were Canada's hottest new music group at the time and I was just listening to old stuff on my phone a lot at the time..
But from what I was told, they said that. So, technically.. I was like, their first unofficial promoter.. They're were my friends first and my uncle wouldn't charge anyone for anything.. Everything was free that day.
I take no credit for their success.. That was all them. If they say thanks to me for it, I'm humbled and I was glad to be a part of their journey.. And that I was a part of it..
I like to joke that I helped change Canadian music history.. With a Party! Lol..
A cop showed up during their performance and we asked who called on us and he was like, "Nobody, I heard it in town when I walked out of the store.."
This was Havelock he was talking about 5 km's away.. LOL.. He was cool and because it was a grade 10 grad party and we're all being decent he was like, "Just wind it down before midnight.." he was like..
I was pretty out there back then.. I'm sure they all remember the time I rode a horse to school cause I wasn't allowed to be late..
Their concerts are easily the most high energy and hype concerts I’ve ever been to, never thought I’d see Wage War and TDG at the same concert but it was insane

Probably i'm a bit older than many people in the comments. I grew up in the 80s with Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth... but i have to admit, this song is FUCKING GOOD. Can't stop listening it again and again.
Me as well seeing Metallica and Megadeth in 91 92 93 and 94 early Metallica before the black bullshit. This new stuff is way better. My kids are 11 and 14 and this is there generation to thrash

This song caught my ear on the radio. TDG was one of my favorite bands when I was an angry teen, but I kinda outgrew them and hadnt really heard anything from them in over a decade, but this new sound they've got has me intrigued. Funny how I can relate to this song now at this point in my life, just the same as I could to their earlier stuff when I was a teen.

Полностью согласен. У меня сердце ёкнуло когда в реках ютуба вылез этот клип. Я сначала даже не поверил, что это что-то новое - грешил на свою память (переслушал все их треки по многу раз, но порой всё же). Но всё оказалось куда прекраснее) А когда узнал, что ещё и альбом выходит относительно скоро, так вообще растаял ;D
Что касается этого трека - в последнем своём подкасте, когда они на вопросы фанов отвечали, ответили что мол "ну, мы выпускали и гораздо более тяжелые песни..." и после этих слов мне показалось, что будет что-то лёгенькое. Ага. Щас)) По началу казалось, что теперь звучание стало каким-то другим, не похожим на их прошлое. Но услышав припев, выкинул нахер из головы подобные мысли, ибо, слава яйкам, это всё те же Грейсы, которых мы так любим. Я почему-то во время припева вдруг вспомнил альбом Human (здесь, скорее, речь идёт о вокале Мэтта). Вот ностальгией прям жмыхнуло хорошенько. Трек сам по себе огонь, даже добавить нечего - одни положительные эмоции)
Одно обидно - никто ещё не состряпал машину времени, поэтому придётся мучительно ждать выхода альбома...

Three Days Grace never dissapoints with their music. It's a pure art 🙌 I've been listening to them since I was like 14 and now I'm 26. They got me into the rock.

This band has saved me more than once. They understand the real struggle of addiction, the struggle of wanting to give up. The struggle of a bipolar person. The highs and the lows. Never felt so close to music... and I used to play.

Damn this is good. Heavy, relatable lyrics, catchy- exactly what i want from 3DG. Also, Matt sounds so good (as always), i really feel like the heavier stuff fits him the best. Still hope we'll hear some screams on a record, cause his live screams are amazing.
Anyway, again, 3DG delivered, fantastic job, so hyped for the full album!

I'm actually impressed! This was really good. Not that their other music wasn't impressive. Just so many bands don't seem to keep their edge but this is one of the few bands that keep producing great music. Keep it up!

in a weird but nostalgic way, So Called Life feels very much like Adam's The Good Life. I love the similar instrumental vibes they both have about life and its identical themes in regards to drugs. it almost feels like a direct callback to the song, I really like that.

The best way to explain this life we live from time to time. One of the best bands from my early teenage years, that helped me get thru so much.
The singers brother was a locker down from me in high school this is just home to me.
Funny thing. I adored My darkest days. I literally drowned in the Matt's voice. But i was so upset they had only two alboms. At the same time I started liking TDG's new singer and 'I am machine' became my personal anthem. I never was interested in the band's bio, I just breifly heard they changed the singer and this very singer touched my heart and made me fall in love with TDG. It's hard to express how happy I was when i found out it was Matt! Long live TDG. Matt is one love.

Initially, I didn't think Matt as the new singer was gonna work. But then I saw them live with TDG, and he completely changed my mind and made me realize how wrong I was about him, and obviously no one can replace Adam, but if you still have doubts, see them live with Matt.

Matt really has grown into himself with 3DG. His songs now feel more like what I was expecting from My Darkest Days as they matured.
I like this new sound they’re going for sounds like a perfect combo between they’re early and recent stuff, with a touch of some news sounds that I can definitely see them pulling off.

Been listening to this band for over ten years. They are my comfort music, kinda like comfort food for the soul. 3DG remains my favourite band and is the reason I got into Rock. I keep coming back to them on a regular basis especially when life isn’t treating me the best, kinda like now. So Called Life is an absolute banger and I see their next album will most likely beat Outsider in quality. Well done boys!
