What I have a major problem with, though, is how the community has devolved. Go look at the comments on their older songs - it's a large group of people come together to enjoy some amazing music. Now it's a divided war between people who want Adam back, people who like Matt, and people who just want to listen to the music. Can we all just not go back to the way it was when we were all just strangers who had the common interest of Three Days Grace? Instead of arguing about Matt/Adam, we can just sing along to the song. I've been a Three Days Grace fan for a long time, and I can say that this new stuff is just awesome. Some of you just need to move on and accept that Adam is gone and Matt is doing a fantastic job. I don't know why but I sort of feel Like this song is kind of like a prequel to Animal I Have Become. You go from feeling nothing to feeling anger, pain, and anguish. Like as though you meet someone and you change for the better, then all of a sudden they're gone and you turn into something you never wanted to be.
I love the instruments, but the lyrics aren't very good. It's just not as deep and meaningful as it used to be. I know I'll get a lot of hate for this, but you have to be honest, it just doesn't feel as original anymore.
If you look at it, "I Am Machine" has deep meaning to it as well, the way I interpret it is this: This song is about being numb to everything around you and wishing you could feel something like everybody else, and envying the ones that do. It's also about turning into something that you don't wanna be, sort of like "Animal I Have Become."

In my opinion not necisarrily because most of their songs from One-X where about the same thing, or about the same area of topic. Every album they've produced has had a theme. Other than Transit of Venus I couldn't really find one in that, but that album overall wasn't as strong as any of their other stuff. Life Starts Now had the theme of sort of starting over again and trying to find a new way to live. One-X was mostly about the pain and suffering that comes with loss and becoming somebody else then what you really are, it was also about letting go and releasing your past. The first album I think was about being unique and branching out to begin your own life, also about forgiving and forgetting the things people have done.

I've been a Three Days Grace fan for a long time, and I can say that this new stuff is just awesome. Some of you just need to move on and accept that Adam is gone and Matt is doing a fantastic job. In fact I can't believe some of you still whine and complain that he is gone considering it was more than a year ago.
People still whine about Tarja leaving Nightwish, and that was nine years ago. People will keep complaining about this forever.

bgibson36 And it's so annoying because the singer who replaced Tarja was actually really fucking good. And the one replacing Anette (Floor Jansen) is apparently really good too (This coming from my friend who saw them live recently who prefered Tarja over Anette).

I love the instruments, but the lyrics aren't very good. It's just not as deep and meaningful as it used to be. I know I'll get a lot of hate for this, but you have to be honest, it just doesn't feel as original anymore.

Not every song has to be deep and meaningful.
If you look at it, "I Am Machine" has deep meaning to it as well, the way I interpret it is this: This song is about being numb to everything around you and wishing you could feel something like everybody else, and envying the ones that do. It's also about turning into something that you don't wanna be, sort of like "Animal I Have Become."

Basically a copy of an earlier HIT song. The band is becoming like Nickelback. Start copying your own stuff and changing the lyrics up a bit.
In my opinion not necisarrily because most of their songs from One-X where about the same thing, or about the same area of topic. Every album they've produced has had a theme. Other than Transit of Venus I couldn't really find one in that, but that album overall wasn't as strong as any of their other stuff. Life Starts Now had the theme of sort of starting over again and trying to find a new way to live. One-X was mostly about the pain and suffering that comes with loss and becoming somebody else then what you really are, it was also about letting go and releasing your past. The first album I think was about being unique and branching out to begin your own life, also about forgiving and forgetting the things people have done.
This group is like a drug - once tried - you want more.
