Just got an order for a sand colored sweatshirt, out of stock. This is my first time this has happened and I’m so anxious! I remembered your advice for this and I’m typing up a message to the customer now. Thank you for all your helpful videos Cassiy!
Thank you for the video. I took notes and added them to my "Cassiy" notebook. You've been such a huge help to me. I look forward to your videos and I walk away each time feeling more equipped to be successful. Thank you!
Hi Cassiy (: I’ve been watching you since the summer and I started my shop officially in october, got my first 2 organic sales two weeks before thanksgiving and I just fulfilled my 2nd matching shirts organic order!! Thank you so much for all that you do ❤❤

New subscriber! Thanks, Cassiy for this video! One of the questions that I had was whether is it best to just sell sweatshirts and hoodies around the cooler months/seasons or all year round (summer and spring) and I see you already answered this question with another subscriber.

Ok, I know I sounded more positive and gung-ho about trying to open my shop but I’ve been seized by anxiety now. I’ve watched so many videos and not all in the right order that I’ve confused myself. My notes are all a mess as well. Can I just list what I think might be a good step by step order and see if I’m on track? 1). Research and make a list of ten stores that do well on Etsy where you can find inspo 2). Find mock-ups to buy that fit with your niche or style. 3). Check trademarks for anything you’re using on the listing/design. 4). Get canva/creative fabrica etc. and start creating designs. Create quite a few. (**and get organized and keep track of expenses) 5). Get a new gmail for the shop, open an Etsy shop (store name and all that scary stuff) 6). Get printify and connect your shop 7). Set up payment systems for both (maybe new business cc) 8). Post listings! Is that ok so far?
You are definitely on the right track but don't over complicate it or feel like you need to conquer Rome in a day! Publish your listing to Etsy, add your mockups, title tags etc. It's easier to just get started with the process one at a time so you can learn it and take it easy. Don't feel like you need to find tons of designs or do tons of research right off the bat! The first few weeks should be more about getting started and getting familiar with stuff. No pressure
@@CassiyJohnson 💜 Thank you so much Cassiy! Your list is much more actionable and less scary than I was making it for myself. I was getting caught up in making a new gmail account and feeling like I had to buy a TON of mockups. I was putting pressure on myself to get everything going for the holidays at the start of 2023. I will slow down and take it step by step. Thank you again for who you are and all that you do. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!
Can you please show us how to do design on red and maroon.Doing a really great job for the new seller. It’s really really helpful.🙏🏻.Wish you more success in life.
Designing should be pretty much the same. Just know that your whites will look slightly red or maroon once printed, so I recommend just lowering the opacity on your mock-ups a little extra so the red/maroon shows through. Hope that helps!
Hi Cassiy, a while ago I was watching one of your videos where you showed how you change a setting in Printify for the design to scale up with larger sizes. For the life of me, I cant find the video again. Can you please share with me how you do that again. Im having a difficult time finding the answer for this. thank you so much for all the great info you share with us.
Awesome stuff! Thank you! Have you by chance done any reviews on kids and/ or baby clothes from Printify? (I looked but didn’t see one) We’re finally having some success with our little shop, thanks in part to your videos, and would like to branch out to youth kids and baby clothes. Any suggestions?
Thanks for watching, so glad you enjoyed it! I am working on my course now and hoping to launch it in the next month or two. Just want to make sure its really valuable first and put a lot of effort into it.
Hi Cassiy thank you so much for all the videos. Just started my shop and whenever I have questions I go find one of your videos :) I have a question on DTG and Sublimation. I see they are listed as separate options on Printify but described about the same when I googled it. What’s the difference? When do I use DTG vs Sublimation? Can I still use graphics from Creative Fabrica that are for sublimation? Thanks!!
Hi Cassiy! You are a precious source of information! ❤your videos. I’m planning on using Printify; however, are t-shirt colors the exact same color between printer providers?? If not, won’t this impact the Mockups I use? I'd have to choose Mockups of photos using t-shirts from the specific printer provider, correct?
As long as you are using the same type of shirt, the print providers will all match. So if you choose say a Bella 3001, then if the name is the same between providers then they will be the exact same color!
Hey Cassiy, I was wondering if you could make a video tutorial on how do you proceed to find new ideas for designs and validate these ideas to create a new listing. Then you could showcase how do you create a new listing, just as if you would publish it for real. Thank you so much Cassiy 🙏
Loved watching this video too Cassiy! Is it a good idea to open a general Etsy store and have a mix of a lot of niches and products in 1 store so that it becomes easier to manage the store from just 1 email account and from customer support perspective? I am planning to open 2 Etsy stores wherein 1 store will be dedicated to only giftable jewelry but my second Etsy store will have POD items like mugs, tees, sweatshirts etc from multiple evergreen and trendy niches and also digital download items like printables, canva templates, planners, social media templates to make it easier for me as I still work full-time so managing multiple Niche stores simultaneously will be difficult for me, would really appreciate your thoughts on this, thanks ahead of time🙏
Omg…..I was just wondering if I should offer sweatshirts during the holidays, as I only done t shirts and WHHAM …. here’s your vid answering my questions again. Thanks so much Cassiy for your time, effort, and timely info. One question ….do you sell more crew sweatshirts or hoodies……..happy holidays
Holiday shopping season is almost over now since Printify’s Xmas cutoff date is this week, but sweatshirts will still sell for winter, January, February niches!
Hi Cassiy! I’ve been watching your videos as much as I can to learn about POD and Etsy. I have a question regarding the print dimension you use in Printify. Do you have a specific width and length dimension you can recommend we use for our designs? I live overseas and ordering a bunch of samples to see on how the designs would look like on actual might not be a good idea at moment considering the costs.
Hi Cassiy! Thank you for the video! Do you recommend having different shops for different niches or just list multiple niches in one shop? Also, should we list each sweatshirt color as a separate listing? Thank you again for your content! It’s sooooo helpful!
I sell lots of different niches within one store. I sell my items in separate listings though. Here is a video I made on why I sell so many different niches in one store, ua-cam.com/video/29_CXYFaVa0/v-deo.html
Hello Cassiy, Love all your videos! My Etsy account got suspended without any email. I wanted to ask if you could make a video or provide feedback on how I can get it working again. Thank you :)
First of all, congrats on getting started! Sorry this happened to you though. This is pretty normal when people first open a shop, Etsy flags your account as spam. Just email Etsy and they should have your account back open within about a week. Just keep trying to login everyday after you message them because they don't always message back at all! Best of luck!
Hi Cassiy! I love your videos and I appreciate you for sharing all your tips for us. I hope you don’t mind me asking what is the hex code you use for the white print on the black sweatshirt you’re wearing. Some people have reported that the sweatshirt color would seep through the white print. I was wondering if you encountered this issue so far?
I did a whole video on this and tried out different white hex codes for this, that sweatshirt is from my review video actually! Here is a link to it ua-cam.com/video/fMfWT9qzpRQ/v-deo.html
Cassiy, another useful video. Thanks! Do you put all of your clothing options (shirts, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, etc) for a design in 1 listing, or do you split them up into different listings?
I like to put all my options into separate listings personally since that is the most efficient way to list them and then I am coming up in the search results for exactly what that person is looking for on the main image. I could potentially see adding them to the same listings but for it to be synced to Printify would take awhile. But I would still copy the listings and have the t-shirt be the main thumbnail as one listing and the sweatshirt be the main image for the other listing and with slightly different SEO.
@@CassiyJohnson That's what I was thinking too. It just gets to be too much for a buyer too, when there is a huge list of items in one listing. Thanks!
Cassiy, I finally join the Etzy and I can see that things are not so easy for me because this is so different. I have made 78 prints an demand. I just did this with Redbubble.......I am not sure how ti get the prints on demand with ETZY well I want to know how you can talk to the video about just going to fill out the Hoodie onto the Etzy. ..................I will keep looking at the videos.........thanks
Cassiy, I'm seeing more and more of the comfort colors sweatshirts colors on Etsy but I think these are not POD but rather individuals embroidering them... Do you have any information on whether any POD provider will be including these soon to their platform or if there is a platform that can be integrated with Etsy, so we can be offering the CC sweatshirts and the specific colors they offer? Thanks!
Great Channel:) Lots of great tips and ideas on how to start selling online. Quick question. How do you add more then one style shirt. For example I see short sleeve, long sleeve, tank top, sweatshirt all in one listing. Can that be done with printify? Any help would be appreciated:)
It would turn your business into a very manual process instead of an automated one. There is no way to list them that way from Printify to Etsy. But you could start your listing in Etsy, build out all of the variations for the shirts, sweatshirts, tanks etc. But then you would need to manually fulfill each order that comes in OR you could manually add each SKU number for all of those variations into the listing. I wouldn't really recommend it especially if you are a beginner because it would be very easy to mess up if you don't understand how everything connects. But here is a video I made on how to do family matching shirts, this is the exact way you would also do what you are talking about. ua-cam.com/video/Tm_L3xkNPHg/v-deo.html
Thank you! I followed your step-by-step etsy store set up video. Unfortunately my account was immediately suspended 😕. I'll definitely come back to watch this again if they respond to my appeal!
First of all, congrats on getting started! Sorry this happened to you though. This is pretty normal when people first open a shop, Etsy flags your account as spam. Hi Cassiy, I am so glad that I found your channel. I really appreciate all of the great information you provide. Do you create a sweatshirt and hoodie for most of the t-shirt designs you create? Also, do you deactivate the sweatshirts and hoodies during the summer months or do you keep them activated all year? Thanks again for the videos!
I typically do ad sweatshirt listings for all of my designs but I haven't gotten into hoodies quite as much, and these can sell well all year round so I leave them up full time! People still enjoy sweatshirts in the summer time, in the north the nights are still cooler!
Hey Cassiy! Thank you so much for all your informative videos. I probably watched 90% of them! You mentioned that you prefer Monster Digital over Swift.. Is there a reason for that? I was reading before that their scaling for designs for different shirt sizes was kind of drastic... has that not been an issue for you?
I was wondering if you could do a video on the small personalized jewelry cases I'm seeing on Etsy? Are they a pod item we could offer in our shop too? I have searched and not come up with anything as of yet. They are very popular in the wedding niche as gifts. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. Have you noticed that Monster Digital sizes down on the graphics for the Smaller crewneck sizes? I'm trying to decided if Swift Pod is the better choice with the not scaling down of the graphics .Trying to have a consistent scaling across all sizes for the sweatshirts..
I haven't had any issues with he design scaling at all unless it is with group listings and they don't love that some designs are larger than others. I really wouldn't worry a lot about this as out of the 100's of bachelorette orders I've had, even then I've only ever had a few complaints.
@@CassiyJohnson I am a small and received some samples and the scaling down of the design was a complete nightmare. I had no idea how it would look on the other sizes. But I use graphics and not as much text on my sweatshirts so it really hurts the design.
Hey! Love your vids, they're super helpful. Not sure if you get anything for people using your promo code, but I just had an issue you should know about. I tried to give the premium a try, (no place to enter promo) so I figure it's on the following page. That page comes up, I go to enter the promo code and it says "Subscription already active" after I literally just put everything in and had no place to enter the code. I had to email them (I included your specific code) but I'd bet alot of people do this, and printify probably uses some other internal code rather than your unique one. So they probably owe you some money. Just an FYI
Thank you for all your videos! I’m just discovering them, sadly. I really want to start my own shop and I hope it’s not too late. As a beginner, I’m finding it really hard to settle on a type or just one niche to start with. Do you think it’s okay to start a shop with a couple of Evergreen shirts AND whichever holiday is coming up in the next couple of months? Also, how often do you add new listings? I’ve heard that adding listings regularly helps. If you covered this already in a video, my apologies! I’m making my way through them all as fast as I can!
I sell lots of different niches in my store! Etsy is the perfect platform to sell a little bit of everything. Here is a video I did all about why! ua-cam.com/video/29_CXYFaVa0/v-deo.html Yes making new listings regularly can help your shop grow faster but that doesn't mean it has to be daily or weekly but just consistently posting will make a big different in the long run. But not just posting to post something, you want to be intentional, do the research that its an in demand hot selling item now or in the near future, make a design for it based on trends and what has been popular in the past and then base your SEO off of current bestsellers etc. Sounds like a lot in the beginning and you won't do it all perfect right away, but when do we ever when we start new things? It's definitely not too late! Just get started, try fail try fail repeat until it all clicks
@@CassiyJohnson thank you so much!! Truly you’re amazing with all the help and guidance you’re sharing. I’ve been trying to get un-stuck and get myself out of a hole for a while now. I’m terrified and I know I’ll mess up but I can’t wait to give it a try! ❤️❤️
Hey Cassidy I was wondering if it is worth spending time building an Instagram account for your Etsy shop or if the time consumed outweighs the possible benefits. Thanks !
Thank you so much for these informative videos, they've been very helpful. I was wondering though, when you mentioned using an off white instead of pure white, can you share the hex number of the one you use? Please and thank you!😊
Thanks for this content! Do you add sweatshirts to tshirt listings as down-down options or do you link the listing in the description to the t-shirt option and vice versa?
I have them as separate listings personally but you are welcome to do it however you like! Linking them in the description is a good idea as well but if they searched for a shirt, and clicked on the shirt, they probably want a shirt.
We got 3 samples of the Gildan 18000 and they are really rigid and cheap looking. Really not good. Do you have any suggestions for higher-end sweatshirts? We specifically want to encourage repeat customers and deter returns and negative reviews. Thanks!
Cassiy, Thank you as always! I have my 40% sale still up for the cyber Monday, but no orders just orders what I drove traffic to. Do you think that it is because my store is new and only 115 items listed? Have you driven traffic yourself to your store before you had organic sales? Also how can we contact you for store review or coaching?
have you printed on the back of the Gildan 18500? Trying to figure out how far to move the "last name" down so the hood doesnt cover it. Im being told about 2-3 inches from top of the Printify template. Have you printed one before?
Hi Cassiy! My Etsy unexpectedly blew up (selling mugs and art) and I keep having an issue where when people order 2 different colored variations of my listing on Etsy, they are only receiving one item at their house and the other is either sent to their post office, shows up later day or is just not ablate be tracked down... Very frustrating and theres also been issues with blurry text one my mugs. Did you ever have these issues with Printify? I use the District Photo Two-Toned colored handle mugs I saw you review, and I just dunno what to do about these shipments showing up at diff times. Ive talked to them and they accommodate but it seems like maybe a UPS problem?
Hello! No so sorry I am not offering any coaching services at this time as I am currently working on creating and releasing my course. But I will announce it on my channel if I add these back on at any point
Hi! Asked this earlier but trying again because it won’t show your reply when I click on it for some reason! These sweatshirts on Printify only show black, grey, navy, red and green. Is there a way to get the other colors as well?
Hi Cassiy, hello from india! I have been trying to sell on etsy with printify but before even getting started or listing any items my Etsy account is getting suspended and there is no prior notification or email regarding the same from etsy. Please help me understand how to make an etsy account or any other mistake to avoid while creating a shop.
Hey Cassiy, so I use these exact crewnecks and hoodies for my brand by swift Pod. However, when I wash them just one time, the color of the logo fades and gets choppy after just one wash! Is this just an unlucky product order or does this happen to all?
Is it just me, or does the print on the Ash hoodie look slightly off-centre in relation to the front pocket? Since it appears to be a Halloween heart design, I'm assuming the ghost at the bottom should be horizontally aligned with the centre of the pocket, unless, of course, this is an intentional design choice.

How do I explain to a customer the sweatshirt is out of stock? I’m worried they’ll get mad that it let them order it if it was out of stock. And what do I do if they don’t respond?
The worst thing that happens is you cancel the order, no big deal! But most people are super understanding. I always throw in a "thank you for supporting our small family business" at the end to make sure they know I am not some big company. If they don't respond, then you can email them as well to try to get in touch with them that way, or you can again cancel the order as well if they never get back to you.
Started my shop end of November and have made 79 sales so far… could not believe how fast I’ve grown. Thank you so much

Designing should be pretty much the same. Just know that your whites will look slightly red or maroon once printed, so I recommend just lowering the opacity on your mock-ups a little extra so the red/maroon shows through. Hope that helps!
@@CassiyJohnson thank you so much Cassiy.Really you are awesome.God bless you.
You’ve convinced me to give it a go
THANK YOU so much for this video!!!! You are amazing! If possible can you do Bella + Canvas 3001 next?
I've done Bella before! Here is a link to that video! ua-cam.com/video/TEidvONm7Z8/v-deo.html
@@CassiyJohnson oooh idk how I missed it. Thank you so much. Watching now!
Wow, fantastic video. Thanks a lot!
Hi, Cassiy! Awesome video as always!!! How do you handle Offside Ads when making a sale on Etsy or could you please make a video about it? :)
Awesome content again! When are you coming up with your own academy?
Thanks for watching, so glad you enjoyed it! I am working on my course now and hoping to launch it in the next month or two. Just want to make sure its really valuable first and put a lot of effort into it.
loving your tutorials and advices. Have you printed a dark text (Charcoal) on black T-shits or sweatshirts? Any advice on text color there?
🤗🤗
Hey Cassiy, huge fan of your videos. I was curious about which kind of mockups usually perform best for you (model shots, flat lay)? Thanks!
Hey Cassiy, I was wondering if you could make a video tutorial on how do you proceed to find new ideas for designs and validate these ideas to create a new listing. Then you could showcase how do you create a new listing, just as if you would publish it for real.
Thank you so much Cassiy 🙏
I've got the perfect video for you, here it is
@@CassiyJohnson Always awesome 😘
Thnx for the response……Should I concentrate on crew necks or hoodies .
I sell mostly crewnecks and I list ALL of my designs all year on sweatshirts as well! Not just around the holidays! So glad I could help ❤️
Hi Cassiy, can you also make a video. Which are the favorite colors in Bella+Canvas 3001? sorry for bad english 😀
@@CassiyJohnson I appreciate your response!! 💖
Hello Cassiy,
Love all your videos!
Just try to reach out to Etsy
Thank you, really helped me!
Thanks so much for another great video, Cassiy! Question for you… has anything changed in your Etsy blueprint calendar or is it the same for 2023?
Great question! It’s meant to be reused every year ❤️
THANKS A BUNCH, AMAZING VIDEO!!!
@@CassiyJohnson Thank you Cassiy! You’re awesome.
very helpful, worth the watch
Another great video! Do you typically list your sweatshirts as separate listings or combo them as a variation with t-shirts?
I like to do them as separate listings personally!
Thanks so much for this video! Does heliconia bleed into the design like red and maroon as well? Do you recommend double printing for these colors?
Nice vid thank you for sharing with us
Cassiy, another useful video.
I just did this with Redbubble.......I am not sure how ti get the prints on demand with ETZY well I want to know how you can talk to the video about just going to fill out the Hoodie onto the Etzy. ..................I will keep looking at the videos.........thanks
wow, great video. thanks so much
Cassiy, I'm seeing more and more of the comfort colors sweatshirts colors on Etsy but I think these are not POD but rather individuals embroidering them...

Genialllll. no hablo ingles pero como hablas lento el traductor funciono superbien. Gracias Cassiy
Hey Cassiy! Thank you so much for all your informative videos. I probably watched 90% of them! You mentioned that you prefer Monster Digital over Swift.. Is there a reason for that? I was reading before that their scaling for designs for different shirt sizes was kind of drastic... has that not been an issue for you?
thats amazing, ty for sharing
Here is a video I did all about why! ua-cam.com/video/29_CXYFaVa0/v-deo.html
Yes making new listings regularly can help your shop grow faster but that doesn't mean it has to be daily or weekly but just consistently posting will make a big different in the long run.
Hey Cassidy
I was wondering if it is worth spending time building an Instagram account for your Etsy shop or if the time consumed outweighs the possible benefits. Thanks !
Thank you so much for these informative videos, they've been very helpful. I was wondering though, when you mentioned using an off white instead of pure white, can you share the hex number of the one you use? Please and thank you!😊

1. #FCFCFC
2. #FEFEFB
3. #F5F5F5

Hi Cassiy 🤍 How much do you normally charge for your hoodies and ones with no hoods? Thank you for all your amazing videos 🤍🙏
We got 3 samples of the Gildan 18000 and they are really rigid and cheap looking. Really not good. Do you have any suggestions for higher-end sweatshirts? We specifically want to encourage repeat customers and deter returns and negative reviews. Thanks!
Hey Cassiy just getting started with Etsy just had a quick question … when you get an order do I have to pay out of pocket for fulfillment?
I would have guessed: black, white, ash, sport grey, navy, dark heather or some other greys, then like a denim blue type of shade.
Cassiy,
Thank you as always!
I have my 40% sale still up for the cyber Monday, but no orders just orders what I drove traffic to.
Do you think that it is because my store is new and only 115 items listed?
Have you driven traffic yourself to your store before you had organic sales?
Also how can we contact you for store review or coaching?
Great tips!!!
Thanks for watching!! ❤️
AWESOME it really helped me
Are you doing POD? Not screen printing right?
Yes I sell only Print on Demand using Printify
@@CassiyJohnson nice. The quality looked good.
have you printed on the back of the Gildan 18500?
Hi Cassiy! Are you giving 1-1 coach for etsy shop review? Thanks 😊

You will want to use a .png format for printing while using Printify!

Hey Cassiy, so I use these exact crewnecks and hoodies for my brand by swift Pod. However, when I wash them just one time, the color of the logo fades and gets choppy after just one wash! Is this just an unlucky product order or does this happen to all?
amazing vid!!! ty
Looking at the ghost in person, the head seems to be centered with the pocket but he is a weird shaped ghost so the bottom isn't if that makes sense!

Can’t we just download mock ups from google? Do we have to buy them?
How do I explain to a customer the sweatshirt is out of stock? I’m worried they’ll get mad that it let them order it if it was out of stock. And what do I do if they don’t respond?
The worst thing that happens is you cancel the order, no big deal! But most people are super understanding. I always throw in a "thank you for supporting our small family business" at the end to make sure they know I am not some big company.
If they don't respond, then you can email them as well to try to get in touch with them that way, or you can again cancel the order as well if they never get back to you.
