@@2rawrealityI will say though after you take your test in automatic and get your cdl, in order to retake the test for manual you’ll basically have to retake the permit test as if you never even gotten your cdl in the first place, so you’ll have to start from scratch again. I think it’s worth it because you’ll already have money saved up to take time off trucking and retake everything, you’ll be in a better spot and pass everything brotha.
@@bigiecheese919lol word. I’m in school now and paid outta pocket. The teacher trying to get me to do manual. I’m like why do manual when all the trucks are automatic
I did my schooling through 160 driving academy and just passed my test yesterday and got my temporary license in my hand until my physical one comes in the mail in like a week but I’d highly recommend 160 for your driving academy it’s an awesome school
I don’t understand why prime gets put down so much. I mean yeah they’re training is a bit longer than most companies but when your new to trucking don’t you want as much training as you can get?! 🤔🤷🏾♂️
I did trans tech in NC. $3400. They didn't do much for me in the way of job placement. I've had my CDL for a few years now, but I've been reluctant to use it because idk about you, but they didn't train me tl drive the truck safely. They pushed my class through because we fought to learn manual when they tried to push the automatic restriction
You were right when you said "get screwed"...because when you get a CDL though a truck company...you're going to get screwed! The company is stacking the contract in their favor!
I got my first year experience from cypress truck lines out of Florida & then i went to a mom & pop company which I do not recommend. But since then i was able to get into the gas hauling field & that’s what I been doing for the past year
Facts. Bro i did orientation, my 2 weeks of training & evaluation week. Today I was suppose to get my truck but I haven’t even heard back from cypress. First they tell me I’ma get my truck out of Wilmington, NC then out of Smyrna, GA. I think I’m bout to just go back local. I was really just wanting flatbed experience but I think they forgot about me literally. I talk to them twice this morning waiting on a callback, still waiting bro lol that’s crazy. I drove to Florida twice and Atlanta twice out SC for the orientation & to meet my trainer. I don’t wanna say they trash but I’m starting to think they trash.
Yeah they can't seem to get me anywhere without me taking my own car. I'm still home. I was supposed to be in my truck yesterday. My biggest check was $2,185 before taxes local so I'm going back to my old job, they decent. I'll get experience later on. I been missing out on too much messing with these guys.

What if the school only teach automatical 🤦🏾♂️
@@2rawrealityjust get the automatic you can always save up and test in a manual but make sure to get that CDL regardless bro
