I would agree on raising it and maybe look at the angle from the top link. That trail should not even have phased this setup, but it is hard to say from the video. Either way i always think the flail is the best option in so many ways, other than blade changes.

Beautiful property. That bridge was awesome.
Shorten up the top link. That will turn the face of it down.

Any luck making the Pats quick hitch work?

I did! So I readjusted it so that I could slide the pins through with them on. Now I use the slotted pin position for the toplink and it works fine.

It is basically the same as the betstco flail and the same issues with quick hitchs. The only way i have got it to work is to take the two lower pins out, put your hitch in there and then slide the pins through.

Yea I also had to readjust the hitches a little bit more carefully and now it works fine if I do what you said.

I'm very interested in these flail mowers at the moment because I'm getting ready to move to a property with close to 4 acres of land that is mostly wooded with about an acre of grass around the home to maintain and the versatility would be nice to cut grass and maintain trails. I only own a push mower at the moment, so I will have to purchase equipment. It looks like the cost for one of these mowers is pretty close to what a belly mower would cost on a sub-compact TYM tractor. I envision myself using it 98% of the time like a normal lawn mower throughout the year with the other 2% for trail maintenance.
Most of the videos I have seen on a flail only show clearing brush and or completely overgrown grass. I'm hoping to find more information on using it as a normal lawn mower before I buy one. Is the lawncare quality decent enough and is it much different between the flail hammers and blades?
    Thanks in advance!

So I haven’t tried it on regular grass to be honest I’ve had so much brush and overgrowth to cut that I don’t want to switch to the Y blades , which are recommended for grass/lawn type work. I do have a couple of friends that use theirs on grass with good results. But I can’t give you an honest opinion on it from experience. I will say that the overgrown grass does cut down very well and ends up looking like a lawn when it’s done. If you look up Messiks review of the Titan Flail mower(same mower before the company name change) he shows cutting grass with it with the hammer blades. Wish I could be more helpful. Thank you for watching!

Do you mean to tell me that flail mower is so bad you have to move at a snail's pace for it to cut anything.

No but it was brand new when I made the video and the area I was cutting hadn’t been cut in a few years so I was being cautious. Also the grassy parts were thick and very tall and I was using hammer blades not grass blades.
