      You are mixing up two different things here.
      Islam which based on Qur'an and prophet Mohamed SAW.
      And
      God the Creator.
      Let us talk about God for a second. Give me concrete answers or say I dont know if you dont know.
      As we know, or can estimate, the earth was hospitable for around 1.7 billion years. That is what scientists say.
      If we know Dinosaurs has been around hundreds of millions of years ago from this point of time, how long would a bacteria need to evolve and become Dinosaurs?
      Having hard time?
      Let us take it easy. Chimpanzee share 98% DNA with humans.
      How long will it will take a chimpanzee to think and act like human evolutionary wise?

    • @HajjiJesus
      @HajjiJesus 8 років тому

      Mohseen Lala
      [But putting that aside, if we just take the question of god into account (not religion), evolution refutes the idea of him creating anything on this planet. ]
      Do you know what Islam's take about this is?
      20:55 out of this [earth] have We created you, and into it shall We return you, and out of it shall We bring you forth once again.
      Islam from my knowledge, doesn't object Evolution as theory. It objects the theory of Macro-evolution. And I say theory because for all some people want to dig that into people's minds, there is no prove for it.
      [Bacteria can survive in the freezing cold or the hottest of climates, so the first 3 billion years belonged to them. the rest of everything evolved in the remaining 1 billion. And yes, that's plenty enough of time.]
      What fossils? If you going to bring an extinct ape bones and say he was Human ancestor, dont even try.
      And, if you think one few hundred million years is needed for macro-evolution, why it is not happening now? Why the sudden stop? Where there aren't new links and revolutions made now from the current pool?

    • @MohseenLala
      @MohseenLala 8 років тому +4

      Wow...are you intellectually dishonest or just lacking in knowledge? Who cares what Islam has to say on the matter.
      The Quran doesn't even now heliocentric is a thing, and thinks men can turn into apes and pigs.
      It also thinks sperm comes from between the backbone and the rib, I guess Muhammad thought the balls were just for decoration. The quran is scientifically illiterate book, though it's trying it's best to sound sciency.
      If it wants to object it should bring better empirical evidence, not random verses.
      No extinct apes, since the homosepian ape isn't extinct yet, look in the mirror and you'll see one.
      And humans aren't part of the macro sphere, we're closer to micro-evolved (only 3 million years in total).
      And of course it's still going on, you just need to be around another 3 million years from now to see any significant differences.
      Or you could put humans in a zero gravity environment if you want a faster evolution cycle, as our bones will change within three generations.

    • @HajjiJesus
      @HajjiJesus 8 років тому

      Mohseen Lala
      What you mentioned is guesses. Human beings, no body know how long they have been around. What we do know though is some animals and how they have been in their current state, millions and millions of years without change. Like: Crocodile Alligator family. Have you seen any subgroup of them that become an ape or Elephant?
      [It also thinks sperm comes from between the backbone and the rib, I guess Muhammad thought the balls were just for decoration. The quran is scientifically illiterate book, though it's trying it's best to sound sciency.]
      As for this you keep bring. The verse:
      "Now let man but think from what he is created! He is created from a drop emitted - Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:" S. 86:5-7
      First if Mohamed SAW, was aware what was said, then it would have made sense for him to say from testicles. But Qur'an is not from him so he could not say anything.
      If you want to know what sperm is made of, goo look it up.
      Between 95 to 98% of it consists of fructose, prostaglandin hormones, metal and salt ions, lipids, steroid hormones, enzymes, basic amines, and amino acids. All those are produced from the glands located in abdomen.
      Only, Between 2 to 5% of it consists of the sperms are produced in the testicles.
      Here is an article that talks about this same topic.

    Perhaps our Indonesian friend is a step forward in the exploration of the mysterious things regarding the science of the unseen [or] The Science Beyond Logic.
    The post-modern people are well-equipped with "i'lm"[knowledge] and the latest technology. In Indonesia, there is a group of people who uses this combination of "knowledge" and "technology" fully utilized. This group of people calls themselves "Team Las Los"[TLL].
    TLL uses the combination of "du'a"[the Quranic verses]with the latest technology of photography, that is video. With the combinations, TL makes the "Unseen" [Satan, ghosts, roh/spirit...?]to be "seen" in the real world and be filmed live. Well, we can call this TLL as the "Ghostbusters." It's up to you. But, TLL's findings really defy logic. They can be the basis of the argument for those atheists that there are "Unseen things" that are beyond their logical contemplation.
    We can't deny the fact that there is the Unseen! TLL members indirectly prove to us that we can communicate with the Unseen. To cut it short, if there is the Unseen, there must be the science of the unseen because if there is the Unseen, there must be the "Most Unseen One" or "Zat Gha'ibul Wujud" or "Zat Gha'ibul Gha'ib"[that is "Allah SWT"].
    Why not one of your students or professors do contact TLL and do research about this phenomenon? Here are some of the experiments by TLL that defy logical arguments by those atheists like Richard Dawkins author of "The God Delusion." ;

    Note: There are no camera tricks. Those videos are real! If anyone wants a further explanation, please contact TLL[Team Las Los].

    How do we know if it is possible to split the moon or to travel outside the known universe to the heavens? Like most things the answer is that we don't know for sure. We believe based on our world view and beliefs system.
    What we currently believe or understand is often limited to or heavily influenced by what is widely accepted at the current time regardless of whether it is factual or incorrect. The basis of scientific learning is observation and contemplation, to use the human intellect to make sense of the what is seen. The methods of analysing what is seen and understood and arriving at a theory or attempting to prove a thesis is not that dissimilar to the 'beliefs' we ascribe to religions.
    Each group therefore has a perspective so discussion and debate is always beneficial if based on knowledge (i.e. not just the art of debating) and a search for truth (not just the desire to win an argument).. The key to understanding the Islamic perspective is that the core of it is based around the existence of an all knowing, omnipotent, independent God who has created the known universe, maintains it and is independent of it. God reveals His of His knowledge through revelation delivered by human Prophets in compliance with the human ability to imitate and learn.. Muslims in the past have been at the forefront of scientific knowledge because Islam demands using your intellect at all times.
    Hopefully the above can help people who are on a path of truth. If you have questions, the presenter of the video can probably be contacted and you can have your debates.

      ***** Your are confused about what logic means. Logic does not mean that miracles cannot happen. A square circle is a logical impossibility; a flying horse is not.

      @moustafaelqabbany3311 9 років тому +2

      ***** You wrote, "It is completely irrationnal to believe that a man can split the moon in two." This is patently false. It is not irrational. It's as irrational as it would be to believe that one could fly from Paris to London in a matter of hours during the 1600s, but it happened. We need to distinguish between the irrational and what is empirically unlikely, but logically possible, like splitting the moon in two. I haven't yet listened to the entire lecture because the connection where I am is slow. Once I listen to it, I'll give further feedback.

    • @moustafaelqabbany3311
      @moustafaelqabbany3311 9 років тому

      ***** First of all, I once again say that you don't know what logic means, and it would do you well to study it. Some things ARE logically impossible, like a square circle. Secondly, I did not claim that, because you can't disprove that miracles occurred, that they did. Rather, I was replying to your statement that believing in miracles is irrational.

    • @moustafaelqabbany3311
      @moustafaelqabbany3311 9 років тому +1

      You are trying to make up for your lack of learning by some quick googling, but it's not as effective by actually studying the material properly. There are three logical rulings: possible, impossible, and necessary. Things are one of: logically possible, logically necessary, or logically impossible. Flying horses are a logical possibility. (And, BTW, Muslims don't believe that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) flew to the moon.)

    • @moustafaelqabbany3311
      @moustafaelqabbany3311 9 років тому +1

      Your definition of logic was simplistic, which is why I brought the lack of learning. Logical categories are as specified in my earlier comment. Also, you did not read or understand what I wrote. Please go back and read it carefully and you'll find out where your error is about what Muslim believe.

    I would like to add that Atheists cannot say that the universe is eternal. To say the universe is eternal is to say it had a *infinite* history of past events.
    There is no good reason to believe that *infinite* exist in reality. It only exist in the mathematical realm. You cannot quantify infinity in the real world, it just simply does not exist.
    So to prove the universe is eternal you must first prove "infinite" exist in reality.

    • @vicachcoup
      @vicachcoup 8 років тому

      +IlmWolf
      An infinite past is impossible
      since if there is any point that exists an infinity of seconds ago
      then time could not have traversed that infinity to get to now

      @derpionderpson1424 8 років тому

      well time as we know and understands it started at the big bang, so exactly how could there have been any before?
      How long did you run before you started running?

    • @37rogu7
      @37rogu7 8 років тому

      derpion derpson That's my point exactly. Perhaps you did not understand my post.
      You cannot say the universe is eternal because we know time started at the big bang. Hence, it did not exist "prior". Also, you cannot say it is infinite in the past because the infinite does not exist in reality.
      If you are saying there is nothing prior to the big bang. Then, you are postulating something coming from nothing which leads to absurdities. This is an Atheist problem, not a problem for the theist.
      So either the universe is eternal or it had a cause. There good reason to believe it is not eternal (both scientifically and philosophical), therefore it had a cause.

    • @derpionderpson1424
      @derpionderpson1424 8 років тому

      IlmWolf So you didn't understand anything.
      Asking what was before the big bang is like asking how much you ran before you started running, that was the point of that part.
      It's a nonsense question to ask unless we can actually determent that there was a before the big bang.
      Saying "before the big bang" is an assumption.
      How do you know it can even exists?
      Unless you first figure out a mean to look past the first moment of the big bang, you can't know if that moment even existed.
      I don't get the reason why theists think it has to be ether it was always there, god did it or it just appear out of nowhere.
      EVERYONE OF THEM (with the exception of an eternal universe) claim that time existed before the big bang, for god to make big bang start or for there to be nothing that the big bang could suddenly exist in.
      And the eternal one is as you said impossible since eternity is not a thing.
      In this conversation, you are the one claiming time before the big bang, I'm asking how.

    • @37rogu7
      @37rogu7 8 років тому

      derpion derpson You didn't understand likewise.
      *It's a nonsense question to ask unless we can actually determent that there was a before the big bang.*
      So I guess something coming from nothing is not nonsense right? If you posit that there is no such thing as "before the big bang" then you affirm that the cause of the big bang was nothing. Sounds silly right? Don't pretend like your viewpoint makes the most sense.
      *In this conversation, you are the one claiming time before the big bang, I'm asking how.*
      I do not believe time existed prior to the big bang. I say words like "before" or "prior" so you get a sense of understanding, not trying to imply time exist.
      I state that something exist before the big bang because anything that begin to exist has a cause. The universe begin to exist, therefore it has a cause. It is an deductive argument.

    I am Atheist but I'm not concern by any of the critics.
    I never use arguments like "evil exist so god does not exist".
    I don't reduce everything to science.
    etc
    ...
    And for the rest of the video, it just show a big misunderstanding of science(his description of the bigbang for instance is completly outdated and show a lack of knowlege in cosmology)..
    I really have the felling that this person critic Atheism without understanding what Atheist believe and are just reduce it in some kind of caricature.
    Of course I speak just for myself and I kown that some Atheist are like the one describe in the video but I don't like those kind of generalization.

      at 6:55 minutes in he totally misrepresents the views of Hitchens and other atheists. Then he goes on with his arbitrary distinction between atheist and "new" atheist, and then goes on again to misrepresent Hitchens view. Christipher Hitchens was a liberal pro freedom of speech guy, who never said or wrote to "eradicate" (sic) religions from the face of the earth. He wrote and debate that religions are evil and immoral at their core, but he or any other "new" atheist never said that we should eradicate believers.

      Misrepresentation happens, sometimes intentionally and unintentionally. In a Debate or a Monologue like this, misrepresentation happens constantly.
      In any case, I didn't hear at any point the speaker saying that an Anti-theist would seek to eradicate every religious believer from the earth. I do agree he said that an Anti-theist believes that 'Religion must be eradicated', but that is a far cry from saying that the believers themselves need to be eradicated.

      It's the same. How would you eradicate a religion without eradicating the believers? Ok, maybe I'm wrong on how he is understanding the term eradicating. If I look at the Koran or to examples like ISIS and alQaida and Hamaz, i.e. militant groups (his comparison was to militant atheism), then eradicating usually means to remove every trace of it.

    What does the video matter if the author can't go 7 minutes in without telling lies? Sorry, I watched again, and it was about 8:00 where he goes on to describe the "New Atheist", that supposedly are militant, that religion must be eradicated. Also, his quotation of Marx
    is wrong. Marx didn't wrote "It is the opium of the people and must be abolished". So, that's 2 lies in 1 minute. What does the Qur'an says about lying? Here is the full quote of Marx:
    "Religious suffering is, at one and the same time, the expression of real
    suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of
    the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of
    soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.
    The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the
    demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their
    illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a
    condition that requires illusions. The criticism of religion is,
    therefore, in embryo, the criticism of that vale of tears of which
    religion is the halo."
    www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1843/critique-hpr/intro.htm
    Marx is talking about the abolishment of the conditions that are giving rise
    to religion. Also, he is talking about people who are suffering under
    religion, just like the people in Russia did under the Eastern Orthodox
    Church in the 19th century. The same suffering that gave rise to
    Communism.

    36:00 'To go from a primeval ape to a human requires trillions of transitional forms'.
    No it doesn't.
    The difference between human and chimpanzee genomes (our DNA) is 1%, we are 99% similar. We can calculate that the last common ancestor was probably alive some 13 Million Years ago. If we consider that a single generation is 40 years then the number of generations since our last common ancestor with chimps is ~325,000. To generate a 1% difference !!! It would have been more surprising had no difference occurred !!!
    What Ali means is that there must have been trilions of instances of variation between each generation to generate the 1% difference, because that's all that is needed. And there is.
    There are 8,324,608 possible combinations of 23 chromosome pairs. As a result, two gametes (sperm or egg) never have exactly the same combination of chromosomes because they are inherited from either parent. Each chromosome contains dozens to thousands of different genes. The total possible combination of alleles for those genes in humans is approximately 70,368,744,177,664. This is trillions of times more combinations than the number of people who have ever lived.
    The number of variations is mind-boggling large, even larger than Ali Ataie predicts by many orders of magnitude.
    The upshot of all this is, there was more than enough time and variation for humans to have evolved away from chimps - remembering again that we are only differ by 1% in our DNA - and in fact the largest change occurred during the original split when two of the common ancestors chromosomes joined up and so the descendent had 23 pairs of chromosomes (that became human, chromosome 2 is formed by joining of two chromosomes that are found in other apes and we know this because scientists have sequences the genomes and can see the joins) rather than 24 pairs of chromosomes (gorillas and chimps).
    That Ali Ataie, who to me comes across as a highly intelligent individual and brilliant speaker, dismisses these obvious facts is again mind-boggling. It's okay to have belief in God/Allah or whomsoever you believe in but please don't make yourself sound like an idiot by trying to deceive others or indeed yourself by hiding, obfuscating or misrepresenting the concrete truth, which is that the Diversity of Life is due to Darwins Law of Evolution by Natural Selection and that humans evolved from primeval apes, who themselves evolved from much smaller mammals.
    I am a scientist and a muslim.

      The verse you are referring to Quran 54:1-2, has metaphorical and allegorical meanings and can also be interpreted esoterically - this is a tradition within Quranic Scholarly tradition called taʾwil as opposed to tafsir .
      It can also be interpreted 'literally' and this is often done by literalists and those seeking to debunk the Quran, ironic that both these groups of people view the verses the same way !!
      Here is a better explanation from 768AD;
      '"The book of God comprises four things: the statement set down, the allusions, the hidden meanings relating to the supra-sensible world, and the exalted spiritual doctrines. The literal statement is for the ordinary believers. The allusions are the concern of the elite. The hidden meanings pertain to the friends of God. The exalted spiritual doctrines are the province of the prophets."
      But the primary goal of the Quran is a book that instructs people how to live good and honourable lives, it is not a book of science, despite what some rather misguided people may say.
      Hope this helps.

      The heart of the matter.
      To believe that Islam is a rigid and inflexible religious system is like believing that there is only a single interpretation or church of Christianity. There are as many if not more _churches_ of Islam as there in Christianity, To believe otherwise is plain ignorance and laziness.
      Practically all progressives and many sects of Islam, e.g. sufism and some you may not have heard of - I am learning of new ones to this day - who do not believe the the literal interpretation of the verse relating to the cleaving of the moon.
      Practically every muslim I've ever talked to when this verse has been mentioned believe in it's symbolic or esoteric meaning.
      I believe with the increasing reach of the world wide web in the east especially through mobile communication is allowing people freedom of enquiry, leading to freedom of thought, and hopefully greater freedom of expression (sadly lacking).
      These things take time. At the same time in Islam's development as a religion, Christianity was undergoing schisms in Catholicism, Catholicism was spread throughout Africa and South America by missionaries often violently, accompanied by colonialism and massacres, many Reformation movements were starting, reappraisals of Christian thought including humanism, nominalism and modern devotion, which became the seeds for Protestantism in the next century (16C).

      I did,t said believe in my God i just said believe in God second what quran says about people like you : GRAVES!
      [Baqarah 2:18] Deaf, dumb and blind; and they are not to return.
      [Baqarah 2:171] And the example of the disbelievers is similar to one who calls upon one that hears nothing except screaming and yelling; deaf, dumb, blind - so they do not have sense.
      [Maidah 5:71] And they assumed that there will be no punishment, so they turned blind and deaf - then Allah accepted their penance, then again many of them turned blind and deaf; and Allah is seeing their deeds.
      [Ana`am 6:39] And those who deny Our signs are deaf and dumb in realms of darkness; Allah may send astray whomever He wills; and may place on the Straight Path whomever He wills.
      [Hud 11:20] They will not be able to escape in the earth, nor do they have any protecting friends apart from Allah; they will have punishment upon punishment; they were unable to hear, nor used to see.
      [HMSajdah 41:17] And regarding the Thamud, We showed them the right path - so they chose to be blind above being guided, therefore the thunderbolt of the disgraceful punishment overcame them - the recompense of their deeds.
      [HMSajdah 41:44] And if We had made it as a Qur’an in a foreign language they would have certainly said, “Why were its verses not explained in detail?” What! The Book in a foreign language, and the Prophet an Arab?! Proclaim “It is guidance and a cure for the believers”; and there is deafness in the ears of those who do not believe, and it is blindness upon them; as if they are being called from a place far away!

      Why do I care what the Koran says? The Koran is just wrong. If I would write a cult like doctrine like the Koran, I would certainly call unbelievers "Deaf, dumb and blind", too. That would serve my purpose very well, name-calling dissenters to remove any critique of my cult. But the reality is that all Muslim countries are third-world countries, with no science and no social progress and are dominated by Europe and the USA.

    Evidence is given with Abraham. Abraham is the father of both of the jews and arabs. Abraham was not in the beginning and you do not see him show up until the middle of Genesis. Which actually means Mohammed was not in the beginning. The following of Mohammed did not exist until 500 years after Christianity. Abraham followed and obeyed Jesus, and this is reiterated in the gospels. God had a son named Jesus who is God. He confirmed this when he said go forth and multiply in Genesis. He also confirmed this when he said we are made in his image.

      No religion ever came even close to describing the universe. They all failed miserably because they knew nothing about the universe (size, distances, objects, forces etc.). The fact they don't' know but claim to know is why theological claims can be dismissed as fiction.
      "deny God people have nature in them to believe in high power you like it or not"
      People have in their nature to want an explanation for everything, especially if it's simple ("god did it"), but they don't care if it's true They prefer to have the illusion of "knowledge", rather than put an intellectual effort to gain actual knowledge.
      "99% of mankind in all times
      believe in God"
      I'm one of the 1%. You know, the smart people. Anyway, religion is a totalitarian ideology. It was, and still is, very dangerous to state that you don't believe in it. (13 muslim countries have the death penalty for apostate, it's so very communist-like)
      "philosophy"
      Philosophy is not theology, not even close. In that sense, it's atheistic.
      Soooooo.... you still have nothing but arguments from ignorance and appeals to emotion.
      Nice try, though.
