Beautiful song from a very underrated movie. I remember watching this on late night TV in the early 90s. Always wanted to watch it again, but it was never released on VHS or laserdisc. Finally found out it was available to download from Amazon Prime. So I watched it again after twenty years. It still held up.
I've wanted to hear this song for over 20 years, since I saw Rabbit, Run on TV. I even searched Inner Sense & the song title. This song is like the sound of 1969
The opening basketball scene was filmed at Barbey Playground at the corner of Schuylkill and Elm. Elm St used to run from Schuylkill down to River Road. The park was redesigned subsequent to this movie and the basketball courts are now at Jefferson and Schuylkill.

Excellent song from a movie that's very true to the excellent novel from which it was adapted! All the acting is top-notch. Too bad this never saw a major theatrical release.
my dad can actually be seen in the intro as a kid. At 2:26 that's him with his grandmom and mom on the steps. The city of Reading in the 70's was actually a decent place. Now all the factories are gone, at one point in 2011 Reading was the poorest city in the nation.
