why number 8 on trending
I have pinned this comment, because I also have no idea?!?! -John
ez pin ez life
vlogbrothers is always in the top 20 on trending every video, it's just what they do.
cant even be mad tho
Becaaaaauuse... that's what UA-cam's algorithm has calculated based on current views.
"Hank and I are going on tour!"
*holds breath*
"It'll probably only be in the United States."
*sighs in Asian*
Ruhi Soni I love how it's " *in Asian* " and not in your native language 😂
Asia 😢
Ahhhh. That was saaad.
I'm glad my decision not to comment on the "error" in the title paid off.

I knew John Green, NYT Bestselling author, would not title typo. Waited it out.
can this tour be called 'tour'tles all the way down? personally, i'm a fan
That. Is such a smart pun I love it.
I feel like we don't talk about the book Will Grayson, Will Grayson enough. You know that one book John wrote with David Leviathan (I don't know how to spell his last name but I do no how to spell the name of a horrifying demon that the spelling WAS close enough to... I've been watching to much supernatural.) THAT book is great and very gay and it's written beautifully AND WE NEVER TALK ABOUT IT.
naomi roesly I've read Will Grayson, Will Grayson probably 100 times now and I cry every time, it's beautiful and so well written. One of the best YA books I've ever read, and unfortunately very unknown
naomi roesly My favourite JG book :)

right??!!??
I loved that book! When I first read I was going through alot of shit with depression and anxiety and panic attacks and it meant so much to me!
the way they wrote one Will's perspective in lower-case only was really fitting, i really liked that
Be sure to give the first copy a good whiff for me. I want a three-page essay on exactly how good those words smell on fancy book paper.
Fantastic Cas I agree with your name
Maddie.-. Sensor I also agree with his name

++ I just read a perfect autobiography of my life in 7 words.
I was excited at the prospect of a book tour but then I remembered that I'm in Canada and John has a complex history with our border control
Kat The Nerdfighter 😢🇨🇦😢🇨🇦
So yall just not gonna say what happened, im clueless guys cmon.
Basically in John's youth he was denied entrance to Canada for "insufficient funds" when on a roadtrip and ever since has ended up on some kind of list that has made it extremely difficult for him to enter Canada.
The Typical Viewer he answered it in a video it's called something like "why I'm not allowed in Canada anymore"
This seems to be a thing, because I know several other people who have this issue. And I must say that crossing the border by car got waaay more difficult and completely unfun once Trump became president. I was going to BC regularly before that and noticed a big difference in the experience. I'm fairly traumatized by my personal negative experience and it was benign by most standards (searched my car and delayed me for a seriously stupid amount of time & reason). Canadian Border Patrol is definitely where they keep the country's few jerks.
Thank you John for acknowledging that the tour is US only. As an international viewer it is sad that you aren't traveling the world, but at least you acknowledge that we exist unlike so many other US based channels.
Dear John, (I promise this isn't that type of a dear John letter) As someone who is on there way of overcoming my own turtles all the way down I just wanted to say thank you for using your platform to bring more awareness about mental health. Because the more I learned about it, the less scary it was dealing with it.
Have a great day,
Serenity
PS I love the cover!

THE ELECTRO JOGGER LOOKS LIKE A GODSEND. THAT'S PURE GENIUS. WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT IT??
I've just started watch my videos of them online and they're so good to watch.
I used to use one at work (A FedEx Kinkos) It was an amazing piece of equipment.. One of my favorites! (Partially because it never broke down!)
I've been watching y'all since maybe 7th grade (2011/2012) and now in 4 days, I'll be in my college dorm room for the first time. I want to thank you both for making me laugh, making me think about life, inspiring me to be myself and be different, and thank you both for just helping shape who I am today.
Thank YOU for letting us be part of that journey. Good luck in college, and dftba. -John
Woah! Clean shaven John. I'm not used to that anymore.
The cover looks so cool. And good luck with the army of boxes that are invading.
Also, John, since apparently I'm one of the first ones here and have an opportunity to say something important-- please stop worrying that the book won't be good or any other worry you have attached to it. At some points in your videos after TFIOS but before Turtles, you would talk about needing to top the success of TFIOS or whatever, and it would always annoy me because for me, TFIOS is good, but out of all your books, An Abundance of Katherines has always been my favorite. It's funny because that's the one everyone always jokes about, but I love that one so much because I connect with it. The fact that you're going to have another book out is a success and thank you so much for always saying important things that need to be said. You're awesome. Thanks for being you.
And that was long...

Shaiann Wyatt And Paper Towns is my favorite! But i believe he was talking about the popularity and success of tfios when compared to the others

Don't read John, read his books instead.
Dr Matt Phillips That sounds like a joke me Dad would say 😂
All these noobs commenting "You spelled describe wrong"
Haha
a noob is a inexperience of certain task and always spelt wrong also used for saying you're bad at stuff even though IT IS A MISSPELT WORD
I was wondering why it was mispelled, but then when he said desclibe, I broke out laughing, thinking "oh, my God, that's beautiful, and I love it"
Congrats, hope you're feeling all the excitement you deserve for this accomplishment and the bravery it's taking to share something so personal is inspiring.
Best wishes!
Come somewhere within driving distance of me. My best friend and I need to personally thank you for our friendship.
Preordered a (probably) signed copy a while ago and as a human with an anxiety disorder I am so looking forward reading it! 💜🐢💜
I was recently diagnosed with GAD, and reading Turtles All the Way Down has helped me feeling isolated. One again a book saves my life by being my friend through difficult times. That wouldn't be possible without authors such as yourself, so thank you, very, very much, John, for giving us this beautiful master piece.
Yay, a tour! I hope I get to see you two! I am so excited to read the book when it comes out.
This is my favorite "typo" ever
No turtles in Turtles All the Way Down?!? You bet I'm dissapointed.
wow, I absolutely cannot wait for this tour. So excited to meet the both of you
I just finished the book, you explained something that went on in my head that I never had a name for it. Thank you!
Goddamn it man! There better be at least one turtle in that book.

I think the gif cover should be the actual cover.
I'm here before dislikes, this is the way vlogbrothers is supposed to be.
I'm here at 1 dislike. but it's only 1 in 1321 views!
Yaume Lepire Well, that seems like a pretty good ratio to me!

I'm so proud of you John and everything you've accomplished
Today at school my friends will ask me at school why I'm so tired. And I'll have to tell them that my sisters cat woke me up at 4:00 am and then I got on Pinterest and fell down a huge fandom hole ( you probably know the type) and then that eventually led to tfios fandoms and other fandoms of books written by john green and then that put me into the mood for watching vlogbfothers spiraling me into somewhat of a binge. so here I am at 6:00 am about to get ready for school wondering what I'm doing with my life but certainly not regretting it.
I felt like i wrote this comment.....Bc that my friend, is exactly something I would do lol
John thanks for signing all these books even though you dont have to and they cost less. It's hard to desclibe how much i love you.
I watched this video and then said to my mom "mom would you be mad if dropped out of school and followed John and hank around the country while they're on tour?" And my mom was like "who the hell are they?"
P.s: sorry for the there/they're mistake
Hank is an amalgam of amoebas currently floating in the southern Pacific Ocean.
Are you sure she didn't say 'No dear, why would I be mad? I think you should follow them! College will be there when you get back!'? I think it sounds like she might have said that and you misheard.
sarty I'm pretty sure that's what my mom said when I asked her. Not totally certai, but there's no way I am going to ask for clarification now.
*they're
You used the wrong there, it's supposed to be "they're on tour". Please don't drop out.
I am so excited to get to read another one of your books. I am going to have to make sure I have read all of the books you have published. I think I have read the majority. You are a great writer.
I don't remember the last time I read a whole book in a day, and I'm pretty sure I haven't finished a book I was reading for pleasure in about 4 years (and that one was Will Grayson, Will Grayson during my senior year of high school.) I've been in college since the fall of 2016 and found it difficult to find the time or the motivation to get through an entire book for fun. That said, I bought Turtles all the Way Down this morning and finished it less than an hour ago and I'm incredibly pleased with how well it depicts mental health issues and thought spirals as a person who struggles with some anxiety issues. Thank you for writing it, John.
So many people are going to think they've spotted a typo in the title until they have watched the video.
well watch the first minute and a half of the video
John, you guys have to come to Florida. We may not be perfect but we're the Floridiest place there is
Hank and I are from Florida, so we are certainly familiar with its Floridaness. I'll try my best! -John
vlogbrothers come to blake high school, John!!!!
You may even meet the famous superhero, Florida Man.
John I'm sooo excited for this book I can't even desclibe it!!! Please come think of Orlando when picking tour locations. we love you
Congratulations on your new book John! I hope it becomes as successful as the other two. Good luck!
...Desclibe? Desclibe.

That moment when you regret not living in the USA but then you think about Trump and free healthcare and you are still not fine :D ... please come to Germany ♥
Cassy und so. And Australia

Cassy und so. Ha!
No ! France ! 😁
John, I (just finished and) adored Turtles All The Way Down. It was one of the most incredible, eloquent pieces of work I've ever read. So ridiculously proud and over-the-top with glee that I was able to see you release another heart-wrenching masterpiece, especially regarding something so personal and important to you. I learned so much and I loved so much, and regardless of whether or not you see this comment, you and Hank continue to change my life, as well as so many others. And for that, I can only thank you. (Sincerely, a weird kid in Australia.)
John, I just want to thank you for trusting us with *your* book. I assure you that it really is an honor to be receiving such a gift.
Beautiful cover! Can't wait to read it :)
Why. Why. Why. Never Europe. Never. Europe. And if it's in Europe. It's. In. The. Uk.
EXACTLY!!!! I live in Europe and I get ur struggle
Organizing tours are easier in places where the organizer speaks the same language as is spoken in the location. That's the easiest explanation. Others involve thousands of laws within each country that discuss payment or performers , who can perform and when and where they can perform and how all of that relates to the politics between the two countries at the time. Plus the travel is more expensive and the genuine question of if they would make all their money back with all the fees that come with performing in a foreign country. For reasons documented and undocumented there is a "special relationship" between UK and America that makes it much easier for Americans to go to and perform in the UK than anywhere else in Europe.
Any creator wants to see their fans no matter where their fans are the problem is that it's intensely difficult to perform outside of one's own country.
At least you're not in Canada. Doomed to never have a tour because John tried to cross the border with no monies.
It just got to The Czech Republic.
You did an awesome thing, John. It's an extremely important book, truly, and it was carried very carefully. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
I love this video. I love the way John talks

Please please, John come to Miami !!!!!! It would be the greatest thing ever if I get to meet the vlogbrothers !
I mean, I want to--but I also want the people of Miami to understand that if you are traveling the country via car, Miami is very unfortunately situated. -John
Now I want to say "Plobably Signed Turtles" because my brain wiring is weird af.
This book meant a lot to me when I first read it, and I was (very unexpectedly) diagnosed with OCD yesterday and it means even more to me now. Thank you for the turtles 🐢
hi john, just wanted to let you know that i really enjoyde turtles all the way down and it made me understand what anxiety and OCD is like for so many people. Or at least, empathize in a small way. thank you.
So... Are all the probably signed copies probably signed by now?
Oh so that's what the boxes are for
Amazing. I'm so excited John, thank you for giving us another book by you

For anyone curious and a little bit confused, the Brontosaurus did exist (sorry if I'm being Mr. Captain Obvious). Also, that poem sounds really interesting.

COME TO CANADA WE'RE SO CLOSE TO THE US PLEASE
John has issues every time he crosses the border to Canada thanks to a misadventure into Canada in his younger days. We're probably not going to see him in Canada because of this.
At least just come to Buffalo so we have some chance
Same mood, but also I think we're already pretty lucky to get signed books.
Poetry recommendations?? Looks like I'm going to the bookstore today!
My favorite book. Your writing makes me so happy. You need to tour to Seattle sometime!
It is impossible to desclibe how excited I am for this book and book tour.
I JUST PREORDERED THE SIGNED COPY AHSJSJSJSJS
Aysha Alsada how was it?
Plz come to sf love ya
I'm two chapters in, and so far I'm loving your book. You understand the mood of our generation, and as someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, you make me feel like I'm not so alone. Thank you for being the greatest philosopher of our time.
Every book you write gives me a new perspective on life, so I wholeheartedly believe that TATWD will be amazing. I hope I get to see y'all in Texas on tour so I can personally tell you what your books and videos have meant to me!
Come to Salt Lake City

YES I AGREE VERY STRONGLY
I :) love :) living :) in :) Australia :)
Strangely, I've been anticipating the return of the Lectro-Jogger since its original introduction so many years ago.
John, your excitement for this single purpose machine has stuck with me for a very long time!
This is my all time favorite book mainly because of its accurate portrayal of OCD and anxiety. Both of which I am suffering through. It’s extremely emotional and, what I think is, the closest someone without a mental disorder can get to understanding how it actually feels to have a mental disorder. Thank you for writing this book, it has helped me know I am not alone.
200000 ÷ 16000 = 12.5, 12.5 x 32 = 400 ÷ 24 = 16.6666. John does that mean you spent around 16 days worth of time signing books? o_O
That's only for this book. He signed the entire first printing of TFIOS. And that doesn't count the signings he's done for vidcon and book events.
Desclibe me
Looking For Alaska is my go to read when I haven't made it to the library, book store, or I just need to feel. I've read it about eight times, John. I love you, & I can't wait to love Turtles All the Way Down.
I will be studying abroad this fall, so it will be the first birthday without my family and most importantly my twin brother around. Which is a pretty strange feeling and kind of scary. When I heard that your new book comes out the day before my birthday, I actually felt so much better about the whole experience. Because now I know I'll just go to a book store and buy myself a copy of Turtles All the Way Down for my birthday and feel less alone while reading it. I'm so excited and sure you've written an amazing story yet again. :)
are you releasing in paperback?? have the rest in paperback, don't want to ruin the collection :(
The paperback will probably come out sometime in 2018. I don't have a ton of say in how that unfolds, but usually paperbacks are published about a year after the hardcover. (Sorry it won't be sooner!) -John
vlogbrothers oh well, might have to get both then 😄 thanks for answering!!
So hardback books cost more to make, but they also have a wider profit margin when they sell on the shelves. It is common practice to sell hardback books first and then sell paperbacks when sales slow a bit. This business practice is also very smart for a book like Turtles All the Way Down because John is guaranteed to sell a WHOLE bunch of books before sales slow enough to justify making paperbacks for less profit.
why is everything always "USA ONLY" this triggers me by now xD
Because John and Hank are American and they need something to prove it's still the best country in the world after the horrible events of 11-9.
The USA has 320 million people all nestled in one nation which has open borders everywhere within it. sort of makes that easier then even the EU to get around. Cause even the language stays the same within the nation.
i don't live in america and i'm getting sick of these kinds of comments lol
let them be; a lot of US publishers do this with their authors, but there's such an overwhelming complaint over john green doing "USA only" sales only because you have the privilege of having the immediacy of communicative platforms (i.e. youtube)
you can still get signed copies on other book-selling platforms, there is no need for this short-sighted entitlement.
Luke Did you mean 9-11
I hate reading this kind of comment they are just awful. No part of this was to prove the U.S.A is the best. It's likely cheaper to stay in the continental U.S.A, And like speedy01247 said "The USA has 320 million people all nestled in one nation which has open borders everywhere within it."
Also I rarely if ever think about the U.S. as not as good of a country because of something that happened that they could not control. Also like brewcha said "you can still get signed copies on other book-selling platforms, there is no need for this short-sighted entitlement."
It's hard to desclibe how excited I am to read your new book!
I'm so glad I got to hear John's voice today. Much needed after the dumpster fire we are currently living in. Please stop in your old home town.
