Foresty, you pointed out in the logbook at the cabin that a lady named Kim Gardner had been to the cabin numerous times and that she is well known. I had never heard of her. I found an online article about her in Adventure Sports Journal. Her story of overcoming serious difficulties in her life by running up and down mountains was very inspirational.
Thank you for noticing her log entries and mentioning her in the video.
You and Kim have a lot in common because you both are people who serve as good role models and sources of inspiration to all of us. Thank you for that also!

I live in Vegas, and I really enjoy exploring the old ghost towns and mining cabins around this area...and yeah, you hit the nail on the head. The most amazing thing about all of them is...how in the hell did they get the materials up there to build that stuff?? We have helicopters, and engines, and modern technology. They had mules and donkeys. When it's 120F outside, in the desert, in a place with no natural springs... there's a cabin, or a hole in the ground where they were mining. It's just incredible how they did all that stuff 100+ years ago. Great video, Foresty!

7400 feet gained! You are an animal! With an animal. Congrats on bagging that summit. Not only boocoo elevation gain, but you also had to deal with the thin air at 10,000+. I have trouble going above 9000 unless I've spent a few days at 7 or 8 k to acclimatize. Totally cool you made it to the cabin as well, and an 11 thousander to boot! A special thanks to Wisconsin for finding and turning in my wallet and travelers cheques and to the police for maling it all to my home ❤. Dude! You are the real deal!! You remind me of my buddies and I when I was in my 20s. We finally made it up Rabbit Peak after 3 attempts. Bad weather foiled us the first two times. Mt Martinez, Jacinto and Gorgonio of course, Toro... all stuff in So Cal. One January my buddy and I headed to Death Valley to do a full traverse of the Panamints ridge but there had been a series of warm rains from the gulf of California that melted all the snow we would need to get us up to the top of the ridge. The first snow that was available for melting and cooking would have been a 10000 ft climb up out of Death Valley. So we decided to grab some beverages and camp out in a cool spot in the desert in the valley. I was inspired by Galen Rowell and his book and series of photos of him and someone else, it may have been Yvon Chouinard, who did the trip.
One trip my buddy and I did was an overnighter in the Mitchell Peaks. It's this really cool mountain range out in the eastern Mohave still in California. We could only do an overnighter because we had to pack all of our water. I actually almost died up there. I started sliding down a slope that was a little icy and my pack ended up getting caught by a downed log allowing my body to slide through😗. We made it back to the car next day and the ranger informed us it was day use only. My buddy's car had a tire that was missing a valve stem so we had to deal with putting the spare on.
We had some crazy times! I love your little doggy!! I like your vibe a lot. I'll sub for sure.
    Peace.

I think some "fixers" messed with the stone chimney I grew up with; last time I tried to sleep in the old place, it never would draw. Boy, are you triggering memories!

Foresty, There was a news report recently about some tourists in Canyonlands National Park who were caught on camera stealing old artifacts from a historical cowboy camp in the national park. You and other content creators who cover historical cabins are correct to try and reveal as little as possible about the location of these special places. If people want to visit them, let them do their own research to find out where they are. Those who are genuinely interested and willing to do this research, are probably going to be people who are more respectful and not likely to vandalize or steal things. I did not understand this concept at first, but now it makes a lot of sense.

Wow, the pink glow of morning light on that range of mountains was exquisite. I'm glad you had some ripping fires on these cold nights. Man, you push yourself hard. And little Rocko is right there with you, up for every adventure. I hope you get lots of hot showers, lots of good food, and good quality time with your family.

I live in that area and I have visited the Saline Valley Hot Springs in May 2023, after the harsh winter. I could barely get there in a 4x4 truck but it was worth it. Awesome place. Those mountains are majestic, harsh and extremely hard to clime. Good job. I always love seeing the military jets too. I work on Army helicopters and have flown around that area quite a bit. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Once again your effort to put the action shots in your video’s is impressive, that’s a huge amount of work and appreciated! Well done Foresty and again a step above anything out there! Amazing sunset pics and I love that sunrise, nothing like sleeping under the stars!

Looked like a green army notebook used as the cabin logbook at 14:16. Noticed that on my second watch-through, as this one was an amazing trek! I can't believe that view of Death Valley!

That place stands because of the Waag brothers. I visit once per year. The true cut 2x4s are from the Vincent Thomas Bridge. I left several near your parking spot. The Waags took several. I see my dads drill, mothers frying pan and Waags Ingersol sign!!

Well done Foresty! And thank you for bringing us along for the adventure. You visit so many awesome places and present them so well thanks to your incredible videography. You can stitch up a gaiter, whip up an air fryer pizza, and piece together a seamless 20 minute film all in a self-customized van. Talk about creative and resourceful...

I really had to laugh at the opening with Rocko graduating to driving the van!! 🤣😂 Despite the effort that cabin was worth it because it was a snap shot back in time. Great adventure and has Rocko gotten a drivers license yet? 🤣😂
