OMG, my mom lived there when she was a student at the Art Institute in the 1920’s. I lived a half a block up and walked past it every day in the late 70’s. Thank you for this wonderful “restoration!” Can’t wait to visit!

I was married here back in May of 1999. I just decided to google it and saw that it had been sold and transformed into RH. Sadly, my husband passed away a little over 4 years ago and we had moved away to another state in 2000. It was a beautiful space and the fact that it housed women artists is why I was drawn to the space. We had a string quartet in the court yard by the fountain (which is different now) and then an amazing disco band after dinner. I remember looking up and seeing some of the residents looking down at us. The Three Arts Club will always hold a special place in my heart.

This is your most beautiful location, because the building feels like a home. The central courtyard is what makes it stunning too.

It's much more than a retail space now, obviously, and people should be thankful it was restored into this masterpiece,
not only that but the community can still enjoy it instead of watching it crumble.

All I need to do is pack my bag and take up residency. The beds, furniture, food and wine is all there. Ha! Haven't been to the Chicago location, and although smaller, Oakbrooks is nice!

I use to live at the Three Arts Club. I spent 2 years of my life there while going to Columbia College to study music. I am sad that the place is no longer a resident hall for women in the arts, but I am happy to see that the building is being used in such a way that preserves much of the beauty of the public spaces. The old dorm rooms were nothing to brag about, so turing them into showrooms doesn't bother me too much. Preserving the history and beauty of the ground floor was so important to me. To see the rooftop garden excites me, as I spent 12 years working as a garden designer in San Francisco. I look forward to the opportunity to come see this new incarnation one day.

Me too! I graduated from Columbia College Chicago as well: RH has inspired me deeply as an artist and also entrepreneur.

This incredible company, Restoration Hardware is gifted with talented people and visionaries. What a blessing this American Company has done to this historic building to preserve its integrity and to beautify it to exquisite interior design decor. Simply amazing!

I love Restoration Hardware and keep using them to help us redesign each of our rooms. Its more expensive to do it wrong so I am willing to step up to their products. Just added a completely new patio set by using their design services and we sit in it each night now and are thankful for each of their thoughtful suggestions.

Thinking of my experience of the Three Arts Club and my reference of the strength and inspiration I still draw from the community of women there, watching this was a bit heartbreaking. What a loss that the Three Arts Club was lost and is now a retail space.

Love this! Can't wait for the Atlanta video to come out. :-) Cynthia is the designer with RH Atlanta styling my condo. I've enjoyed working with her. Jadde Turk in y'all's customer service center in Dallas was really impressive & helpful, as well.

Such a shame that they moved their manufacturing overseas
