Yay! Nice to know someone else loves them. It's hard to reconcile the pain of food with the need for sustenance, but I've been working a long time to find what works best for me.
I’m 69 years old & had to have sigmoidoscopy this past October. I didn’t really get any education from hospital staff & home care was terminated by me on the 2nd day by me; I have already learned more from you in the few videos I’ve watched. I enjoy your videos, you communicate well, are articulate. However, when you say ___damn-i find myself asking if the information is enhanced by usage of that term and I think not. You are a lovely young lady but I hope you consider my comment & I thank you.
Ive lost most of my lg intestines but my stoma is hooked to what i have left. I have a hard time getting 40 ozs of water much less 64 ozs. And protein im lucky to get 30 gram. I know you need closer to 60. I spend most of my day figuring out how to get it. K have found the biolyte is 16 oz and it equals almost 40 oz of water. I can handle that but still a problem with😢 protein. 😢😢😢
my name is Donnie from Boise idaho i love your videos they been very helpful i have a ileostomy have you ever heard of burning and numbness in your feet from surgery
If there was a nerve affected somewhere it could be from that. Ask your doctors? Or check the Internet, it can be so informative and give you unbiased info that you can then check on with medical personnel.
Thought I heard you say you have/had a prolapse?? Dealing with one myself right now. Little over 8 weeks since my surgery although probably only half of that time dealing with the prolapse. Anything you did to correct it? I’ve been searching for information on it but not finding much of anything and doctors don’t seem too concerned if it’s the right color and functioning. 🤷🏻♀️☹️
I had one; same experience with doctors & nurses re not super concerned. It was horrible though. Cecily did have one and she talks about it in some other video but I forget which one (or more). As I recall, hers was rather hellish: she had to deal with it every morning before going to classes.. It got to be super long at one point!! She had it fixed, I think they have to maybe redo the stoma?? Or just tighten it if that's possible, I don't know. I was due for a reversal so that took care of mine (I had a hernia too - which I think also this lovely video-maker [Cecily] also had.) I remember being worried about my prolapse a lot but the physicians were right that it was okay. Sometimes it would seem purple-y or pale but then it would be the right pink again, usually best after I took a shower (without a bag on). It would go in when I laid on my back: that was another thing the doc's/nurses said was a good sign. It's not supposed to happen but oh well. It just does sometimes.
Another fantastic ostomy diet video. More info than the medical profession provides. Thank you
It’s fantastic to see some foods you’re excited about! I love Smart Sweets too!!

@sky1stKvG Those words used were disgusting and very offensive. I will not be following anymore
I like carrots, too. Do you eat raw or cooked carrots?
I told my nurse about the marshmallows and she said it just sugar. So she thinks its all in my head. It really works
