@@issamgarcia6890 If something is overexposed it has nothing to do with the colors If a photo is overexposed the photographer has made a mistake. As simple as that.

@@issamgarcia6890 No Sony didn't interpret that as white 😅... The sky is the brightest area. If exposed too strongly The sky will burn out. M-Mode, show histogram, RAW, then adjust the exposure so that the histogram is almost completely at the end. Bring the brightness back later Exposure is perfect. This means you avoid noise in dark areas and get perfectly exposed photos If you just want to take a quick photo in automatic mode then buy a Pixel.If you want perfect photos Sony

iPhone strength is selfies and video. That computational photography really brought out the autumn colours and sky in the video but the Sony was blown out. It;s a tough one because for the average consumer the iPhone result is better and easier to achieve. But if you get close enough with the Sony, maybe make a few adjustments manually, you could get very nice colours too, but you must do the work. On the iPhone, the CPU is doing the work for you.
On still the Sony seemed to put bokeh on everything. However I'm sure you can disable it if you want the background to show as well. Having said that, the human eye, if focused on a flower in the foreground, does bokeh on the background , so actually the Sony is more true to life in that sense.
And that is really the story of Sony vs the rest in a nutshell: Sony is using the actual lenses to capture as accurate as possible of a picture with zero computational interference. That means the sky will be blown out, or the colours, depending on your lighting and position, which is natural. So you need to either put a filter over the lens to compensate, or move to a different location to capture the light differently. That is exactly what real photography is, any pro photographer knows all about it. And that's why we Sony fans love Sony: they keep the realism and give us the power to decide how to compose the shot.
But for the average consumer, the iphone/Samsung/OnePlus/Vivo/Oppo/Pixel etc will be better because it's point and shoot with a great result. Hence Sony costs more because it's a specific audience they cater to who want these features. Which by the way costs money to develop, hence the higher price.
I've been enjoying your vids. I was going to get the Xperia 1v then bottled it and got the iPhone 15 pro upgrading from the iPhone 7. But it's made me realise even more how fed up I am with Apple's propriety approach. What would you recommend, stick with the iPhone, or go for the 1v or 5v. I quite like the size and how long the battery can last on the 5v. Subscribed, keep up the good work!

I'd agree entirely: Sony is better in images, Apple better in video. I adore how Sony treats photos - such a nice balance, relying on hardware over AI.
I could actually see the cast of sunlight in the Xperia video....but the iPhone has a flat footage...too much dynamic range in my opinion

What about video in manual mode between these two devices? Sony is well known for a weak auto mode. Some say Sony is better in manual video but I wonder if that is really true and the actual difference. Would be great if you make another video comparing dynamic range, details and noise in manual video mode.

I have the Xperia 5v although i only use the camera on auto as i dont have a clue with manual camera settings its an awesome phone... And the battery life is absolutely islndane 😊
I don't know if I am crazy but the ne seems to be relying too much on added noise and filling the gaps with IA ticketing, which provides a great result but does not represent the real-life colors and details, I notice it more with landscapes with complex textures, on iPhone it ,looks like random sharper details that I don't know what I'm looking at, maybe this IA thing needs to be balanced or an option to disable it.

Sony has one of the best camera's in market bo doubt but still i would prefer the iphone coz its so clean in so much areas like dynamic range macro shots and video recording ❤ and its not about photography its the security too which apple provides 🫱🏼🫲🏽
