If I were Danni in this situation I would have found a great hiding spot, stayed quiet, and waited it out. If I remember correctly... In the movie, she was the new girl at the office and she had not been implanted with a chip yet. She had a huge advantage, but she didn't use it, unfortunately.
The problem with calling in sick is that the company was already cleaning out the apartments while this experiment was occurring, so they would just use a small transmitter to kill them. I think the second half of the experiment was that everyone who was in these locations were listed as dead and any form of identification would be sent to their loved ones. This way whoever survives would be a killer with no id and in a foreign country.
Very cool do you mind sharing when this is said in the movie? I’ve never seen and if you have I would love to know. TY tho I’ve always thought about that!!
7:11 If they start a fire on the roof people would see them since there are passing cars maybe 2 blocks away. They also pass quiet frequently. Pretty easy way out instead of killing your coworkers. People notice fires and call 911.
U kno, there are allready dead people in this buildibg, if any emergency service arrives, im sure they just all gez obliterated as this shady firm wants no witnesses... if they play the game and one person survives, no one would believe him if he tells wat happened at belko, if like 70 people survive and tell the same story, it has too much weight to ognore. Im sure the Game Master would obliterate them on zhe first sight of EMT arrivin
I loved Marty and was hoping that he'd somehow survive the carnage. The scene where all of the heads were exploding while he kept repeating "It's just a dream," stayed with me long after the movie finished. Did anyone else watch this movie and then silently judge your colleagues the next time you went into work? Just me? P.S. Marty actually says, "It's all in my mind,". Sorry...my mistake!
Just thought of something. So i think they had searched for cameras somewhere in this film...i was thinking what about the stairwell? Hear me out: the brain tracers are only tracking devices and bombs right? And they have hand guns. So in theory, check the stairwell if there's a camera. If there isn't? Good news. I'd have everyone work together to one by one from the bottom level stairwell, lay flat on the ground and have one person shoot next to the person laying on the ground or at a wall or something, (don't know too much about guns if the bullets can ricochet off them). Have everyone act sad in mourning. And when the voiceover calls for more "dead" people. Repeat the process by firing away from the person laying on the ground. With each new person ready to be "sacrificed" laying flat on each step so it *looks* like they're dead. When it's over: you'll hopefully have enough man power to overthrow the people in charge, provided you also take out Wendell and Berry first i guess and any other dangerous threats who don't want to work together for the survival of the entire/most of the employees. This fails however if: - The cameras are too far out of reach and are on every stairwell level entrance/exit, that also pick up sound. - there aren't enough bullets in the hand guns to fake the employees deaths. - if a riot breaks loose and people end up fighting, ruining the whole thing. - & finally, if the devices inside the heads of the employees can tell if they're dead or not. All in all 🤔 i think it's worth a shot, (no pun intended), against their other....err....options. 😅
7:30 It would be extremely risky to take lead, but i would point out that security all over the building would be impossible to set withing like 10 hours (if security shift ended at 10pm for example, and work started at 8am) so this situation was pre-planned and most likely is not a safe experiment. The fact that strange heavy armored soldiers were outside without the main corporate security knowing is super sus and most likely the team that planned this horror-like situation. It also must have been planned for more than a few days (as they knew the natives and sent them back home). The fact the doors closed as soon as the woman tried to exit means someone is monitoring us, and I would send people to look for cameras and microphones. I would also say that instead of waiting out the time, perhaps all these signs show that the 2 or even more people would be selected then randomly and suggest someone volunteers just to be safe that the victims of waiting out wouldnt be more than two (if 2 are taken out, there is a 1/40 chance i'd die, and i would not take those chances).
@2:09, it's Stuart Charno's character, Ted (no, not "Ted, where the hell's the corkscrew?!" Ted) in "Friday the 13th Part II". He got so hammered, he DIDN'T go to Camp Crystal Lake and ended up having to sleep it off!
In this kind of situation (which is highly unlikely I'll find myself in, I'm out once they say implant tracker) the second I see those three trying to get to the weapons and I have access to the guards weapon, it's instant pop, pop, pop. They're an immediate danger that must be removed.
They should've done is find a place where the radio transmissions don't go though like elevators or safes and then cut out their chips there. One tip to find such places they should remember where they couldn't use their phones before everything was jammed. They should've also destroyed all the known securyty cameras and potentioal jammers/transmitters. Starting a fire on the roof would be another good idea although they should be cautious so that fire doesn't spread to the rest of the building.
My takeaway from this is "Wendall" is really Bob Slydell, one of the efficiency consultants from Office Space, and he's trying to help the company cut some costs. Alternatively it's a JD-like fantasy Dr Cox is having.
Who in their right mind let’s their employer install a tracer in the back of their head!? I’m not buying the „anything goes in Columbia“ suspension of disbelief crap, sorry.
8:11 OK, I know you have to take whatever job you can get, but if your place of work tells you to get an implant in your head, I think it’s time to look for other business opportunities I’m not getting the suicide squad treatment
Danni should have won, she was so smart throughout the movie and then she just uses an elevator when she had the perfect hiding spot? Thats not the character being dumb, thats bad writing imo.
Forget tinfoil hats. Tear down the building's antennas, go back inside, and THEN start trying to remove the trackers. With all that concrete (even before the metal barriers went up) there's no way radio signals are getting into the building that well unless there is a radio system installed throughout the building. Even emergency services require large buildings to have radio systems so that emergency teams inside a building can communicate with teams in the parking lot during emergencies. Getting caught tearing down the antennas has the same risk of melon busting as trying to flag down help, but much better chance at more people surviving if someone managed to do it.
I'm with the villain. He stayed calm under pressure and took control of the situation, choosing the victims in a way I consider fair for the betterment of the greater good
This is actually a Roblox game too, it's called "The Office Experiment" It's kind of a difficult game because you need to be the last one standing, that game is based off of this show/movie.

Even if you are at home, there might be a way you could still die. The explosive tracker in their brain could be triggered when the people in charge randomly (or purposely) hit the kill buttons. (If they lived alone). Unless the range doesn’t reach or the tracker doesn’t activate until you clock in. Also, what’s to stop the sick employees from noticing all their colleagues are gone?
