OMG! I lived in Moscow for all of this. I was an American who moved there 3 months before the USSR disbanded. I was there for the coup. I went there to produce music for Melodia but ended up being the first American to work for RTR (now RT International). I was so happy to find this! I watched Kukli and Oba-Na. I was producing TV commercials for RTR and did a famous one for the Renako Berzhia. I totally ripped off the Groove Is In The Heart video, but it was a really new look for Russia at the time. Do you have any access to archives? I’ve been searching for our work from back then.

I've been learning Russian for 6 months now n I absolutely love bilingual subtitles on videos where they translate every single word being said! but unfortunately there isn't really that many! n I like them cuz I just seem to learn a lot faster that way, so I appreciate so much what you did here! n your speed when you talk is great also, which I don't really mind if you speak faster either, as long as they got the double subtitles. n hopefully one day I won't need no subtitles at all.! so please if you could make more too, that'd be wonderful. again thanks very much! These are really old TV-shows but you can always learn something from them. Otherwise, the best TV-show for learning Russian everyday words and phrases is Вечерний Ургант (The Evening Urgant) 😉

In the 90s, Russian television was much better and more interesting. To be honest, today I am very ashamed of what the Russian state channels show. This is some kind of shame.
"Окна" - это просто жесть какая-то 😅 Но самое смешное, что люди верили, что эти постановки были реальными, сопереживали гостям программы 😁. Хотя и сейчас программы "Пусть говорят", "Мужское / женское" - это такая же постанова, но люди почему-то смотрят 😒

Apropos of 'куклы'... Kukla, Fran and Ollie was a very popular and clever children's TV show in the United States, produced in Chicago and broadcast nationwide, from the late 1940s to the late 1950s. Fran was the human actress who interacted with Kukla and Ollie, and some other puppets. You cab probably find episodes online.

Самые шустрые и хитрые люди без совести и предрассудков смогли заработать хорошие деньги в то время (если их не убили более наглые 😬). А такие программы показывали, что люди обрели свободу во всём и почувствовали вкус капитализма. Сейчас этих программ уже нет, но зато есть другие, и даже похуже 😁

I love Russian tv shows. "Спокойной ночи мужики", "С.У.П" and "Голые смешные" were popular around 10 years ago.
I have never heard about 'Спокойной ночи, мужики' 🤔 =)
