This young man has a story to tell and he is rapidly finding his audience. He has true talent and is not afraid to take the risk of conveying a positive message and giving props to his mom. He needs real skill to pull this off and so far I see it in his contributions. The message of this latest video and the incredible flow of Panda have been my favorites so far. His life insight is beyond his years. I am a 45 year old white male and know I am not his target audience, but reality is that his music is already reaching beyond his expectations. I hope I am not doing him more harm than good by admitting my demographic? I would like to think that he doesn't give a shit who is consuming his stuff even if they are seasoned like myself. I want to support The Real AK his true talent and positive vibe. I looked at his merchandise and I don't think I would wear anything I see, but I might be 'inclined' to purchase something for others. What I will say, is that I'm a 32 year old white guy, who grew up on a farm in upstate NY and I'll be married 10 years this year. I grew up listening to some of the best rappers and hip hop to ever grace the stage. However the crap that most people put out there now, is exactly that, crap. I can't even listen to half of the mumble that's on the radio now. Real AK reminds me of when I was growing up. He kind of reminds me of somebody like Atmosphere, if you know who that is. He speaks truth, he speaks it clearly, and it's not all about money, drugs, and women. The kid has talent, and I hope he stays true to who he is.

What I hear from his music is what rap was meant to be: an outlet to vent and convey the discontent of (urban) life. AK shows his wisdom in identifying these problems while also demonstrating the escape by living it. He's taking a chance by applying himself to something he loves/is good at that could provide him with no future and neglecting all the things that's been ingrained into us by society that we've been told will make us succeed. I try to convey that wisdom to every teenager and young adult I meet that if the stress and responsibility you need to undertake in order to begin your life as an adult will strip you of your ambition, then you need to find another way that is right for you. It's so easy to overlook this art as cockiness and completely skipping the message in his music. Blessed isn't my favorite song but it's so strong because it gives that chance for a listener who overlooked his music a second insight to find the message.
