I keep forgetting about this sone. It is possibly one fo the greatest band creations of all times. I have heard it hundreds of times and it still gives me goosebumps. Possibly the best minimialist song ever written anywhere. So few instrument notes for such huge effect. Overlay genius percussion punctuation only and one of Australia's greatest rock voices ( second only to Crissie Amphlette?) and you have stunning ( genuinely stunning ) genius music. Remember I first saw them on a live aid concert and they did 2 songs and all I can remember of all the international line is them...and very clearly...
And a separate comment for the bass player. If you are learning bass and you want a bass hero, this is she. Possibly one of the greatest lyrical bass players ever with exactly the right timbre for the bass for any song you plays. GENIUS!!. No need to say anything about the guitar player. If you know anything abot guitar players , especially Aussie ones he needs no comment. Few peers whatever he does.
I saw them perform it live, in the background they had a picture of the dooms day clock at 4 minutes to midnight. Rather haunting image that fitted so well
Can't believe this is nearly 40 years old... Still fresh now.

One of the best Aussie bands of the 80's. They were probably 5 years ahead of their time.
Debs voice still gives a shiver. I wish this band continued so full of potential but only 2 records unfortunately

Oh Deb, what a wonderful voice you have...
Do Re Mi is so underrated! They are a great band!
Sometimes I wish songs like this could be released again. Would love to see how they would perform on the charts.
Love this track and Idiot Grin, so beautifully spopoky and the bass is just WOW

Such a great band
Timeless. And true.
Yep. Still sounds amazing in 2018.
Fantastic. One of Deborah's best.
Amazing track
this is straight fuckin fire #retweet
nah it's the BEST mouth!
Made Tracey Mann a voice, and started a lie, continued. Will there EVER be a people's voice heard in Terra Anullus?
Between their Marxist, feminist bullshit, this was insightful.
Amazing how many Nazis appear in the comments these days
