50 St. Catherine's Drive is the seventh and final album by singer-songwriter Robin Gibb, released on 29 September 2014 in the United Kingdom and 30 September 2014 in the United States on Rhino Records. The album was named after the address on the Isle of Man where Gibb and his family lived. The album was also co-produced and remastered by his son Robin-John Gibb (RJ Gibb) who had two years previously, composed the album ‘Titanic Requiem’ with his father. For 50 St. Catherine’s Drive Robin-John also composed and produced, with his father, the songs ‘Instant Love’ and ‘One Way Love’ the latter song ‘One Way Love’ which Robin and Robin-John both composed and produced along with their long-term family friend, former BBC DJ and host of ‘Top of the Pops’ Mike Read and the former song ‘Instant Love’ features Robin-John singing with his father. The final track ‘Sydney’ is the last song ever recorded by Robin Gibb, a song which he had intended to sing together with Barry, however his health sadly would not permit it, and the duet would never be. So Robin-John (RJ) called Elliot Cohen who owns the famous Red Bus Recording Studios in London, reserved a space for a month, and eventually emerged after finally producing a poignant song worthy of airplay and commercial release, from what was originally a rough iPad GarageBand recorded demo. The album was released two years after his death in 2012. As well as the production of ‘Sydney’ all the other unreleased tracks were remastered at Red Bus Recording Studios in London. The album reached No. 70 in the United Kingdom and No. 39 in Germany.

Well Robin’s voice here is magnificent! Strong and full of emotion. Obviously this a very significant album for Robin as it holds his precious memories of his childhood and dear family members so I guess his deepest feelings pouring out in this lovely song are what give his voice this extraordinary power like I’ve not heard before. Wonderful! Well done RJ (Robin-John) for your great skill in bringing this album to fruition. It’s a treasure ❤️
I agree it's a beautiful album but so sad particularty the last tract Sydney.
@@patriciabyrne5089 yes sooo sad a song and to hear Robin’s grief at his mortality, he just couldn’t believe he was dying and fought bravely not to. I think Sydney perhaps should have been the last but one song and then for the last song, one of Robin on lead vocal, accompanied by Barry and Maurice, in an upbeat song chosen by Robin/RJ to showcase their magnificent close harmony, when their voices were at their richest tones. That would have bought the album round nicely to match the happier songs, as the finale. As it is I think I would find it too much to listen to Sydney again

I wish it wasn’t insinuated that Andy was a Bee Gee. Yes, he was part of the brothers Gibb, but not a Bee Gee.
Dear @lonnawight2762! I never thought or guessed Andy as the 4th Bee Gee! If the video included photos of Andy, it was titled Brothers Gibb. Many people love and respect Andy's memory, and he has every right to be featured in every video about the brothers.
