- I probably don’t have to explain what Raid: Shadow Legends is at this point. If you’re on UA-cam, you already know exactly what this game is right? A cool new game with epic console-like graphics and immersive gameplay! Honestly, it’s probably the best and most expansive marketing campaign in UA-cam history-serious props to their marketing team. They have funny ads that play before videos, and, as I’m sure you’ve heard countless times, they are notorious for in video advertisements-basically, where they pay the creator to say a few good things as a paid product placement in the middle of a usually unrelated video.
However, Raid has a sinister side that no one seems to be noticing. Yes, the ads are annoying, but I’d go as far as to say that they’re predatory. These ads are exploiting UA-cam’s viewer base on a scale I’ve never seen before, and no one is doing anything about it. Now, I realize this sounds dramatic, so let me explain. Today, I’ll unveil the sinister truth about Raid: Shadow Legends.

Well-written essay, it has an extensive use of logos and utilizes pathos (specifically allusionary rhetorical devices) to a degree that backs up the argument... I blame my English teacher for suddenly making me realize every asset of an argument

Recently stopped playing genshin impact for the same reason. It’s super time spending and Grindy. And it’s gacha mechanics are softened by the story and the hard (but harmful) work the developers put into the game. I also went through the exact same process you did but with two other gachas: final fantasy brave exvius and fire emblem heroes

I got AFK Journey recently and realise I've been trying to convince myself that its very generous for a F2P game and worth playing. I know its just using the same tricks to lure me in but I find it very hard to put down.
Scariest things about some of those games is that unfortunately those types of mobile games can get people addicted to the never ending gameplay loop

If you think about it basically every mobile game promotes spending (with a few exceptions). Like take a look at clash of clans/royale. Those are super addictive games making the conscious choice of pulling in younger people and taking all their money

Kinda happened to me but wasn’t really the games fault it was just stupid me. I used to play clash of clans and still sometimes play it. And I was getting annoyed how slow the buildings were and really wanted to make it go faster. I’m not very patient btw. So I knew the password on my IPad and started buying gems the in app purchases things. I enjoyed it and really loved it and was doing very well with my 1000 of gems. I then came home from school one day and my parents told me I had spent £250 on the game in total which is another console and not a stupid mobile game. Luckily we got the money back.
