Explore historic Al-Muizz street, visit an Egyptian bread factory, experience the call to prayer, and sample Egyptian street food with us! We kick off our Egypt series with a tour of Old Islamic Cairo - the oldest section of Cairo, Egypt. During filming, we ran into Muhammad, an energetic Cairo local. He became our guide for the day and took us on a whirlwind food and culture tour of this historic area.
We start off the day on Al-Muizz Street, one of Cairo’s oldest streets. We then climb the minaret at Madrasa Mosque, where we got to witness a moving call-to-prayer with 360 views of the city. After, we explore a traditional produce market, sample falafel and fresh juice at local street stalls, visit an Egyptian bread-making factory, and try other local cuisines like lamb stew and kebabs.

I'm going Egypt for the 2nd time in May, last time I did the main tour of Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor and it was amazing.
This time I'm doing some of the less touristy spots like Siwa, Fayoum, Alexandria etc and definitley doing a food tour in Cairo!

I guess with a food guide, on top of the food price you'll pay more for the comission the guide gets from the restaurant and the bakshish you pay to the guide himself, haha. Looks a good way to get to some real out of the way places, nice. Did you see a sufi dance? Superb!

Nice footage, but not the suitable tour guide to have. Next time, you should assign more talented and literated guide using the internet and comparing the best offers. You may refer to Gareth Leonard's videos on Egypt to see his guides who didn't let him pay for anything during his 4-day tour in Cairo, while guiding him to many places that truly offer a thorough overview of the Egyptian cuisine. The one you assigned was totally illiterate, misguiding, and suffering an extensive lack of info on the Egyptian culture, let alone his extremely weak English. By the way, little are they in Egypt who believe that animals hooves are aphrodisiac, and who are willing to eat it are minority.
You deserve more followers and likes.
