Agree, I think "Roy"/Brett Goldstein ad-libbed his last line there and Jamie/Phil didn't know it was coming. Remember Brett Goldstein is also one of the original writers, and had duel duties as one of the writers on staff for the show as well as playing the iconic role of Roy Kent.

Phoebe's smile gives me life, as does her knowing Kent with a U instead of an E is a swear. And then there's Roy giving the single most pained "thank you" in the history of Uncle's Day.
It's adorable that Roy's sister mistook Ted to be Dr. Sharon's husband. Like, duh, of course they're married. Pretty sure Ted would look like anyone's husband standing next to them, what with his boundless energy, intimate familiarity, and the other person patiently putting up with his shenanigans.
If they had already planned on making her Roy's sister, the scene doesn't make sense since she would know who the coach of her brother's team was, especially given the extremely abnormal situation.
I wonder if that "cut your eyes out" line was improvised, because that laugh seemed way to genuine for it to be Jamie's in character reaction. Like it felt like Phil Dunster genuinely broke when Roy said that

In my personal head canon, not only did Jamie insist on Roy being his Best Man (50% to honor Roy and 50% to annoy him) but also Roy's sister insisted on Roy walking her down the aisle (50% to honor Roy and 50% to annoy him).
So sad to see the show end. But the writing was so incredible, the characters really were alive to me. By the end the relationship between Roy and Jaimie was sooooo complicated a) Roy Kent was young Jaimie's idol b) Present day Roy and Jaimie are both in love with and longing for the same girl c) Roy develops into an almost loving and definitely protective father figure d) and they won't admit it but they have become best friends while also being pseudo brothers who will never admit they greatly respect each other. I really wish we could have gotten at least three more seasons of Ted Lasso, or at least a spin off continuation with the remaining characters to carry on , I really wanted to see the african billionaire jackass get snubbed and humiliated again.
Either a spinoff where Jamie and Roy tour different cities and teaching each other new skills (like in Amsterdam) or a spin-off where Coach Beard and Jane investigate occult occurrences in and around London with occasionally show Beard at work during the day with Richmond being exhausted and telling the Diamond dogs about their latest adventure.
The most accurate thing about this is that Ted’s wearing Richmond gear and she don’t even notice. Been a Arsenal supporter since I was 12 and the women in my family could not tell you 😂

Nothing in their interaction dictates that she did not know would he was. She just assumed Dr. Sharon was his wife. She wouldn't necessarily know who Ted was married to or if he were married.

I don't think she knows who Ted is, it's explained she does a lot of shift work and is not with the father. So Roy spends a lot of time with his niece, but not necessarily his sister. Also Ted never mentions he's a football coach... he says "American football".

They don't really show how long she was in there for. Also a concussion + stitches to the head would put her into immediate attention and she would be handled instantly. If you broke an arm or something then it would take a couple hours.
