I needed this show in 2017 after a breakup. I ended up going to raves byself, found kindness, found the moments where I could release the grief, and finally realized/accepted the new directions my life was heading. Now happily engaged , my first healthy relationship at age 43, and getting married 2/2/24 ❤
The scarcity makes it so special. Do I want 7 seasons of it? Yes. But so many shows drag on until finally fizzling out. Lasso, like the character himself, accomplished what it was here to do, and departed. Loved it.
Couldn't agree more. It's more like real life sucks so much that we want the shows we love to give us the escape we need. At least that's part of the reason for me. I just rewatched the entire show and I think I might do it again😂.
Yeah, agree. The Ted Lasso being richmond manager story is over, but the series could easily have a spin off series....... either Ted back in the US, or Richmond fc spin off, so many great characters. Or a spin off of one of the other characters.
@@paulandhisguitars I think we still may have space for a 4th and last season, where Ted missing Richmond comes back with his family for a last run, where he achieves what he promised at the end of season 2: "win the all fuc**** thing"
@eduardorocha7747 they could......but i wouldn't. I'd do a spinoff without ted, there's enough great characters, and they can introduce new ones. Sometimes it's best to go out on a high.
Wrapped up too well they said....too positive they said.....forget all those poeple. We knew there were 3 seasons and Ive laughed and cried more with this show that anything else pretty much in my life. I would LOVE to see more, but I can totally understand them leaving it alone. The nailed it. Thank you Ted Lasso team!!!!
One of the best shows on TV that was very enjoyable to watch even if you are not a soccer/Football fan. The characters are all well written and likable. Just a fun time all the way around.
This ensemble cast is so strong they could easily run 7-8 seasons no problem. They could probably run entire seasons without any actual game play in it.
The hand-drawn picture of boobs that Roy hangs in his new Head Coach's office is one of the nude drawings of boobs that his niece Phoebe had been drawing at school, and you are supposed to maybe assume they are Keeley's boobs, but I love how Roy puts tape across the drawing of the boobs just like Ted did on Keeley's bare-breasted photo in Jamie's locker.
Unless you have been a supporter of an English club, one has no real idea as to how one loves your club. It is a part of your being. I have been a supporter of Crystal Palace, the home stadium for Richmond AFC. I saw my first game there in November 1961. Watching this show was emotional. The actors and actresses were awesome, every single one of them. I hope somehow, there will be a continuation of the show. Maybe not the mens team, but now the womens team. Football is a part of English society. It can be the very fabric of a community. Do we all want to win? Of course. But, at the end of the day we will support our team regardless of what division they are in. Even thought I am 68 and a long time supporter of Crystal Palace, I wish nothing but the best for the new arrivals to the upcoming Prmier League season, namely, Burnley, Sheffield United and the amazing Luton Town. We are all part of a wonderful experience. Let’s simply enjoy it, just like we have been able to do with Ted Lasso. Great work from Sudekis and the whole cast
So many good callbacks in the finale. Ended the show perfectly. Thank you Ted (Jason Sudekis) and all involved. If there is a spinoff it would still be fun to watch....bringing in new players, the women's team starting up and new drama that brings. We do need that book though Trent Crimm!! WE NEED THAT BOOK!
Indeed this is such a beautiful Show! So timely in where we are at the moment. This show helped me in my own personal journey having to deal with sadness. Thank you Ted! 💔💔💔😭🫠
"maybe it was a dream?!" is such a cop out now. The only show I know that was 100% a dream was "Newhart" as verified by the end of the show. It's just people trying to get clicks and fake internet points on reddit (I guess people still use that site).

I'm really sad that it ended but I'm really happy that they planned it all and never let the quality go down. Honestly, a bad 'ted lasso' season would hurt way more than it ending. And it was a FUKKING PERFECT ENDING.
It is amazing that this show was based on a skit meant for NBC to promote the premier. They went to places that have never been explored in sitcoms before, and did it in a genuine way
The goodbye choreography is a callback to when Dr sharon finsihed working and ted made the team create a dance as good bye present. And he told them the gift was the effort they put into the choreography not the dance itself....
Fantastic detail most people miss about the relationship between Roy and Trent: on the bottom of Trent's book cover, it can be seen "With a very brief foreword from Roy Kent".
Stop analysing Ted Lasso, it was the best season finale of any series I can think of. I don’t wish for Season 4, yet, enjoy what we’ve just experienced, at least for now 😊
I watched this when it first came out on Apple, but I took my time with the last series, forcing myself (and the wife) to enjoy it one episode a week. Now it is over. It's a hybrid Brit / American show, but it highlights what the US does badly (normally- Too many writers and no end goal). And this.. What the Brit do well, finish on a high and... STOP. There's an old British theatre saying.. "Always leave them wanting more". And in this it does. Some answered questions, but a whole lot of unanswered. That said, Lasso was unique I think. The timing (Covid) but ultimately the writing and the actors chosen to play these roles is what made it. I think just be thankful it came into our lives. Rejoice at the happiness it gave. On a side note.. I worked in Richmond for two years. It's as nice as you see. Visit. Enjoy.
This is what makes the series great. They know who they are and when to move on. Almost all series go beyond what they should and just become good or mediocre. Revenue is usually the driving force to bring out the tedium in a series. Ted Lasso did it right.
the billionaire girl who takes advantage of Keeley isn't painted in the same light as Rupert - even though she is exactly the same character. She is painted as light and flirty and he is cast in shadow. This is how media stigmatizes men. They should have cast her the same way as him.
I love how Nate repairs the “Believe” sign with the gold paint - a throwback to the psychic showing Rebecca her Kintsugi bowl. Stronger and more beautiful through the turmoil.
Loved Ted Lasso. the most refreshing story away from the typical, type-cast and brainless shows of today. It brings positivity, vulnerability and kindness between MEN, and between WOMEN. I wonder if this message is beyond the average dumbass? Let's see how many other writers follow the trend. TL was a trailblazer and I think it's the BEST show in years!
The ending sums up whats there in the future. An AFC Richmond series cuz it was never about ted. Hear me out, the story could be alot of things like the womens football team, the path to winning the UCL and a youth team perhaps… like they could scout ted’s son and play for richmond… Ted lasso story is finished and its time the AFC Richmond story (but i still want ted to be there)
I think the show was perfect as is, and doesn't need a season 4 or even a spin off. I like the very britishness of it ending as a complete story, and they would do the show a disservice by doing the typical Americanization by extending and sequeling the heart out of it ( see the last several seasons of American Office). Please, let it be the perfectly crafted story that it is.
I was hoping Ted would have learn to let go of his ex wife. I mean come on she divorced him and moved on to their family doctor, can’t remember if I was theirs family doctor, anyway. It’s sad Rebecca and Ted should have ended together or remained very close. F Ted’s ex-wife her lost. As for his son he could gotten into the best school!
no, it was the couples counselor for Ted and his wife, and two years later the Ex-wife new boyfriend Ted and Rebecca were platonic soulmates, i seen them in real life, two best friends that you could never seen them apart, but never as a couple, it would be weird
I think it’s loosely implied Ted’s ex and Dr Jacob broke up. He was clearly not into soccer. During the last game he was seated by himself on the couch then further away to the barstool. And the ex and Henry were annoyed at his denigrating remarks about the game. So there is hope that Ted perhaps got his family back.
Pretty clear in the final episode that things have not worked out with the new boyfriend/therapist as Ted comes home, coaches his son's team in a game doofus boyfriend mocks and doesn't understand, with his re-marriage and family intact.
I don't think Ted's endind was ambiguous at all! The last 2 episodes showed how Michelle shared seeing how shallow Dr. Jacob was and how really genuine Ted was. Dr. Jacob was gone IMO when Ted showed up at his house I think to try to start anew! ❤😊😊
I would definitely watch a spinoff about a women's team. I think thats a great idea. My son is a basketball coach for HS girls. I bet he'd watch it too
Don't make more Ted Lasso. Let it be over. It was great. IMO, it's one of the best shows ever from beginning to end, precisely because it ended. Don't get me wrong, when I found out it was over after season 3 I was sad. I wanted more, but how many times has a top tier show tried to stretch itself out for extra seasons and become a mediocre show because of it?
I feel like a spin-off series focusing more on the football aspect of it as well as maybe one with a women's football team would be fitting because the creators aren't unraveling any stories just continuing the ones with Richmond growing football wise
There's a mistake in this video: Jamie didn't reconnect with his father at the end, instead he's shown bonding with Simon, his stepfather. A big part of Jamie's resolution is that he came to no longer care about his father, and we never find out what happened to the father ever since Beard's final confrontation with him in the alleyway.
His father is shown in rehab and in the final scenes, Jamie does indeed reconnect with his now clean and sober father. They're shown smiling and looking at photos
If there is a spin off it has to be Roy and Beard taking Richmond to win the champions league title with the Women's team maybe being a small side story (it would be a bad Idea for them to take the Characters everyone has come to know through the series and stick them in the background or get rid of them).
As noted by others, the arc of Ted Lasso is unrealistic. And it’s the unrealistic world in which I want to live-a world in which people learn from their mistakes, make amends for the harm they have caused, and take responsibility for their effect on other people. Even Rupert backs down from his enthusiasm for the lucrative-sounding “super league” and is moved by Rebecca’s lovely memory of him as a penniless boy who sneaked into games before he became rich and bought the club.
Interesting video. Especially interesting, and it always is, is that audiences, readers and listeners always receive shows, films, books and music/lyrics differently. It is subjective, and completely the purview of the receiver to interpret art. Ted's marriage is not over; it is saved. As they watch the final game it's clear Ted's wife (and son) is done with the doofus shrink, and that as Ted emerges from Uber ride home and coaches his son's soccer team, the marriage is back together. Roy is the team's coach and he gets Keely back.
I just finished this last night. I honestly felt like in the end Ted was actually dying and all the ending scenes were flashing in his mind - because they were so overly dramatic and definitive - like forever goodbyes!. When they cut to the plane landing I thought it would be a plane crash. Then when his wife and son come out to greet him I waited for it to cut to him having a heart attack from a panic break-down. But no. it was simply an overly dramatic ending to the story
Personally I think this is the best series to ever air. At least to me it is. As far as the ending. The wedding. In addition to Ted not being there. How is it the married woman Beard slept with is there and why? He is also wearing the pants he took from the house when he ran. Right? I'd love to see more. The characters and the actors/actresses who play them are amazing. But, if this is it..... I'm ok with it. Better to go out strong then hang on and drag it out and have it lose the shine.
I am still waiting for that spin off with Richmond in the champions league with Ted showing up for a few games to support them and we find out he is a MLS coach now.
The ending is not "too good to be true/utopia" They all ended up with good or happy ending but they also worked hard for these to be happen. So unlike most sayings, I deny its not realistic. Yes there is a possibility to end up bad even if you have worked hard but is is much likely to get a happy ending something you have worked for.
I really wasn't a fan of the finale, felt too rushed and felt some of the characters ending were disappointing. Ted should have been at Beards wedding and he didn't really engage with anyone as he said goodbye it felt very ooc, Found Jamie and Roy fighting over Keeley to be an odd step back in their character development as well. Like it's a great series that I'll rewatch but they fumbled it at the end.
Yes, I felt Jamie's and Roy's ridiculous discussion about who gets Keeley which ultimately led to blows cringe inducing, although it tied in with Roy accepting that he needed therapy. I think they could have found a more sophisticated way of leading up to that inevitability.
I appreciate shorter series, so Ted Lasso only being 3 seasons long was a breath of fresh air, but they left so many loose ends with no resolution. Disappointing considering how little substance half the episodes of this season had when they could have used them to tie things up.
those other episodes you talked about as being disappointing are there to set up the payoffs you see at the last few episodes. that’s what the show has done throughout its run.
the loose ends was on purpose. the audience can take their own conclusions and thats the deal. they wanted people to think about and maybe learn from the characters experiences
No crazy dream sequences for this show, it is not that type of show - 2 things that disappointed me were that Ted wasn't at Beard's wedding, and that Edwin Akufo did not get righteous karma reined down on him, he should have been on the cover of one of those magazines involved in an investment or banking scandal or something that all of his family's money was a Madoff-type Ponzi scheme because of how greedy and hateful and two-faced he was to everyone. I loved that Rebecca got EVERYTHING that she wanted and deserved, except for Ted, and also because Ted got EVERYTHING he wanted and deserved (and will probably get back with his wife) except for staying with his Richmond family which he called the next best "home".
I guess Nate's change is too drastic as he was flying with West Ham... A better way to explain is maybe as he progresses he realised he is out of his depth and his arrogance caused West Ham's title slip; backclash of his players & staff that he was rude to.. then only ruthlessly fired by Rupert
I believe the show is to big to not have a spin off at least but bc of the writers strike I feel the Ted lasso team is on hold on making any comments as of right now
Ted goes in plane. Cue montage of everybody getting their Happily Ever After. Then cut to Ted in the plane, heading home.... I always thought that indicated that the previous montage was a daydream/optimistic wish.
It's sad a lot of these British shows are only a couple of seasons long (The Office, Extras, Borderline, possibly Upstart Crow) I hope they make more seasons of the show.
There are an infinite number of stories to tell. Studios need to stop dragging shows out until the ratings are dead and fans are annoyed. There's nothing they can do with this show in the future. Just let it die a masterpiece.
it's better that way. When writing for a show that has a clear end date, the writing is better. It's awful when a show is dragged on for series afterr series until it sucks

@@mistressmozart Agree. I am not a big fan of “Friends.” But I did watch it for a time. It became SO popular that the creators, and everyone involved, kept going for money alone. The characters became caricatures. The storylines started to repeat themselves - Oh now Rachel & Joey (hookups with another Friend0, Joey gets a hot roommate (roommate issues), baby issues/introducing a “cute kid” (Cousin Oliver syndrome), etc. They could have ended it in any season after 5. I love British shows. They get in, tell the story exactly the way they want, and get out. Shows like AbFab will come back with 3 or 4 episodes if they need to add to the story or if there is demand. Lastly, we see how finished stories don’t seem to do as well when the book is reopened. The reboots of most shows donn’t seem to have the magic they originally had when they were new. Ted Lasso was epic lightening in a bottle. I am glad it is ending perfectly.
I love the show, but season 3 was running out of gas. It did end on a high note. If a spin-off did happen: McAdoo needs to be the focal point. Ted's story is done. He beat his demons. Richmond never got first, but for Ted: "I've never been concerned about wins and loses." Second place was just fine for Ted. His team was a whole. Jaime was never a team leader. Even when he understood Total Football, he wasn't a leader. He finally learned to play as a collective. A spin-off would neef to be Richmond focused with McAdoo at thet center.
If it does have a sequel wouldn't it be funny if he wouldn't coach like a cricket team in India or a rugby team in Australia as much as I love the original cast the show's called Ted lasso
Ted missing Beards wedding is easy. Beards bride to be always thought something was going on between Beard and Ted. And in the spirit of How I met your mother. You never invite your X to your wedding.
It peaked and ended when it should. It is a shame that it has ended but it couldn't go any further than it did. It was brilliant and so funny, but it needs to be left now.
Are we now going to wait another 10 years for a good comedy/feel good show ?? Since the Office and maybe Friends and Seinfeld this is the only good one for a decade.

Ted's going back to the US.
I'd be fine with that ending.
@@tonyfurminger8308 Oh, you're right. I must have gotten the actors confused.
Let's Go Richmond!
ill never love a show more than ted lasso
If there is a spin off it has to be Roy and Beard taking Richmond to win the champions league title with the Women's team maybe being a small side story (it would be a bad Idea for them to take the Characters everyone has come to know through the series and stick them in the background or get rid of them).
Like M.A.S.H.
This show goes out on top.
I love the show Ted Lasso
I have the next Ted Lasso - Ted Lasso Down Under! Ted goes to Australia to coach a cricket team or Aussie Rules football!
My favorite character was 100% Nate. He had a full circle arc.
Agree! this and my other favourite ' The Great ' are masterpieces
Roy Kent - the new chapter of Richmond!
Like it's a great series that I'll rewatch but they fumbled it at the end.
one of the worst takes ive read in a while
Yes, I felt Jamie's and Roy's ridiculous discussion about who gets Keeley which ultimately led to blows cringe inducing, although it tied in with Roy accepting that he needed therapy. I think they could have found a more sophisticated way of leading up to that inevitability.
I’d like them to make The Lasso Way into a actual book
I appreciate shorter series, so Ted Lasso only being 3 seasons long was a breath of fresh air, but they left so many loose ends with no resolution. Disappointing considering how little substance half the episodes of this season had when they could have used them to tie things up.
those other episodes you talked about as being disappointing are there to set up the payoffs you see at the last few episodes. that’s what the show has done throughout its run.
the loose ends was on purpose. the audience can take their own conclusions and thats the deal. they wanted people to think about and maybe learn from the characters experiences
I think it's renewed for season 4
I would love a AFC Richmond womens team series
Thank you Looper for remaining elite in Easter Egg hunting, and predictions!
A better way to explain is maybe as he progresses he realised he is out of his depth and his arrogance caused West Ham's title slip; backclash of his players & staff that he was rude to.. then only ruthlessly fired by Rupert
he said he quit the job in episode 9 or 10
The first two seasons were much better but the last two episodes were awesome
Is the show realllyyy that good as all media says?
Yes
Its good, the last season is very political which i dont really care for. 9/10
Unless you like that stuff, then it will probably be great for you.
It is a very entretaining, feel-good show. I was reluctant to watch it, but it worth the watch for sure
@@user-nf3rz8uc8w any continuation/spinoff would just be a cash grab
It’s perfect as is
it's better that way.

Great end to the show! 🎉
No narrative needed for Ted lasso !
I took the whole sequence of Beard’s wedding and the rest before we see Ted wake up on the plane to be a dream also
Nah the actor who played beard came out and said it wasn’t a dream
Also how could Ted know what Rebecca's guy from Amsterdam looks like?
If it does have a sequel wouldn't it be funny if he wouldn't coach like a cricket team in India or a rugby team in Australia as much as I love the original cast the show's called Ted lasso
One story in Variety does not mean “everyone knew it was only going to be three seasons.”
Anyone Else??!!? ----- I really want to read " The Lasso Way " ------ wish it was published
goddmann im gonna mis ted lassso soooo goddamnnn MUCHHHH
I want another 2 seasons
De las mejores series.
Anybody know a nice show similar to Ted Lasso?
Rebecca with Ted.. we did not get that. We wanted that. Needed that. Did not get that.
Love this show ❤❤❤
I wonder what happened to Akufo since he doesn't take rejection well
Ted missing Beards wedding is easy.
