Memories from ‘74-77 as a bachelor in the Marines @ Camp Lejeune ! Ran many a mile on the beach front of north & South Carolina ! Fished a bit on the Cape Fear river . I’m looking forward a video of Swansboro if you stop there . I think you may still be able to drive around sightseeing at Camp Lejeune if you ask the gate sentry for a one day pass ! Great video as usual !
What a great area to take runs! We actually anchor near Camp Lejeune coming up! They were practicing diving all around our boat so we were careful when on the dinghy
@ they may have been practicing surreptitious surveillance on you ! Do you know what unit that doing the diving ? It was probably a Recon unit . Recon marines are some very bad-asses that are legendary tough in the Corps . When the Corps stood up the Raider units , the 1st recruits were 10 + years veterans & had developed reputation’s during battles / operations for being especially “ effective “ !
