It should be mentioned that this guide only applies to models compatible with CFW, and tbh I'm not sure why someone would install HEN on a CFW compatible model in the first place.

Yes you can make sure its the the right version you download do you know what if you have cex, dex, hen or hex?@@legoxwer1336
@@legoxwer1336 Yes, if you're already on CFW you can upgrade to Evilnat 4.91 CFW by simply installing it over your current firmware. No need to jailbreak again. Make sure you don't accidentally install OFW 4.91 because then you'll be stuck with it until bgtoolset is updated.

IF you get an error message when updating, try using a different version of CFW and restart the process that's how mine worked and don't try to use Dex because that's how you get the error, try to use Cex
Ok I’m gonna try that my ps3 always gets the error at 61% it’s stuck in a continuous loop

It's not possible just yet, because ps3toolset has not been updated to support 4.91 yet. It will be updated soon though, at which point jailbreaking OFW 4.91 will be exactly the same method described in this video.

Thanks! Everything went perfect. Should be added that you need 3.55 or lower to run CFW on your ps3.

mine couldnt load the patch, the Flash Memory Pack sign was transparent instead of full white.
@ImBones PLS if you see this , pin this comment... Some people just dont pay attention to anything he says at the video while he literally repeats the same things again and again , so let me sum up for you...
1)You can do it ONLY if you re on 4.90 or lower (OFW/HFW/CFW it doesnt matter)
2)If you re on 4.91 you have to wait for the toolset update
3)No you CANT follow this tutorial if you re on Super Slim , it will brick your console (Im pretty sure PyPS3Checker will also inform you about this when you reach the step that you drag and drop your dump.hex file)
4)YES you can sign in and play online , just like you were on an original firmware (OFW)
5)YES HFW 4.91 is a thing , if you prefer Hen over CFW you can just update your 4.90 (or lower) HFW to 4.91 HFW and your HEN version to 3.3.0
6)When Ps3 Toolset gets updated you DONT need another tutorial, you will follow the same steps as this tutorial and it will work for you
No matter what the tutorial i always gets "this data is corrupted" even tho i do it right

is there a way of doing this directly from the console? i modded when i still had a pc to do it on, only have the console now and a usb
says installation successful and reboots while ps3 initializer is still loading up...hen doesn't install though. Anyone have this issue?
When I want to update I don't have the "update storage media" option, the USB is formatted to fat32 and I did everything right, but it keeps on showing me to update to the new version, any fixes ?

I keep getting an error when installing my update. It gets stuck at 61% it’s stuck in a continous loop. There’s no option for me to cancel and return to the XMB. The error code is 8002F334

Because the file you downloaded may be corrupted or you downloaded the wrong file check your ps3 format if it is cex or dex or pex and download the file according to it
You can check it at internet options if your in cfw scroll up and go to options and go to cex to dex to tools scroll to bottom of it and select show information by that you can see if your in cex or pex or dex thank me later 😂
