This is sooo cute! I purchased your etsy pattern as well! Do you mind explaining the difference between the two stitches for the orange ribbing? It looks the same to me (Half Double Crochet vs Half Double Crochet in the back loop). Is it you are grabbing the "front" loop and then grabbing the "back" loop of the same chain? I would really appreciate it! Thank you :)

+Victoria “Vicki” Bigham there are lost on google for length of hats and width per age group.
Chain that many centimeters/inches and then add a few more for the fold over.
Then crochet them as wide as you need it.
This is a very versatile pattern!

I made this and it turned out absolutely adorable. Your directions were super easy to follow. Thank you. However, I made this for my two month old granddaughter and it doesn't fit. Do you happen to have a bigger pattern?

I'm extremely sorry, but I don't have a larger version of this pattern.
I actually thought it looked too small when I was doing it so I actually did 32 rows instead. I was making 2, one for a new born and one for a 2 year old. So on the infant one I did 32 rows but kept the original chain the same. On the bigger one I did 43 chain and I am still working on the rows, but I am planning to do about 45- 48, I am going to measure as I go. When you put the green in you just keep going until you get to the last 5 for the start of the stem. It worked out for me. I hope that wasn't confusing. Let me know if it is, I will try to explain better.

So I started this pattern about a week ago... my original project was so small it could of fit a Barbie. I'm fairly new at crocheting... but I followed the instructions.. I'm not sure what I did wrong? Especially because so many are saying there's came out beautifully. I restarted and I'm doubling the pattern. Hoping this works.

Size I hook and equivalent/corresponding yarn (according to the label). I ended up making about 46 rows but mostly making sure it was about 12-13 inches in length. Working on the stem now. I'm not sure where I went wrong but I'm making do so far

I'm confused. I just purchased the written pattern on etsy and it's not written the way this video instructs me to do. On the 2nd row on the written pattern it says to chain 1 and turn but the video says chain 2. Also in row 1 its written as sc in 2nd chain from hook and sc in next chain but the video says to hdc. There's also other differences. Please advise.

I would highly recommend just following the pattern.

You want to chain 29 and HDC for 28 rows. That would be the 6-12 month size :)
