This BLEW my mind. Now I have another thing to pass the time, and of course, practice my street photography. And "travel" to places I've always wanted to go haha
I've just been going through some of my old photos from my harddrive and re editing them. Also, finally making my portfolio website lol. Thanks for the amazing content Faizal! Hope to meet you someday!
If you make it to Japan think about also visiting Viet Nam as flights from Japan to Ha Noi are only about $500 round trip. I'd visit Ha Noi for the amazing street photography, Tam Cốc for the nature views, Hue for street, food and heritage photos, Da Nang (where I use to live) to photograph a very modern city with many old charms, Hoi An which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, Da Lat for the architecture and finally HCMC for more street photography. Viet Nam is very cheap and very safe. Flights inside Viet Nam can be had for about $50 USD.
What a great idea! I did some street photography in Tokyo a couple years ago. I went in July. My advise would be avoid July and August. The heat and humidity really slow you down. That's really all I would have changed about my trip.
What a creative fabulous idea!!! I think I will try this type of “street photography from home” because not only is it creative and fun, it will help me plan my next trip too, as you said. Thank you for sharing this!!!! 🧡
Yeah. I like doing this for references in my drawings. But, leveling it up with photography sounds amazing. My brains going crazy thinking of all the compositions I want now. 2yrs late but great video! I gotta jump back in with this new motivation.
Damn... taking screenshots on google map haha. I saw the notification and thought you’re about to use a long lens and taking pictures of people walking pass the street from balcony 😂
Excellent video as always, Faizal. Your creativity is very inspiring. I was taking a look at your website, more precisely in the photojournalism photos and I would like to know if those images were taken with the X100F or if you took them with a more versatile lens for shooting from a distance. A big hug and stay safe.
Great idea Faizal, thanks for sharing. I often use street view functionally to check out new locations. But hadn't thought of using it creatively and really impressed by what you've captured.
bro your colors work so well w/ this! I really enjoy this and might just have to try it myself! my girlfriend and I are looking for cities to move to and this might be a great way to explore them and see what we like
This is awesome. Are the presets/edits you used on these on your website for purchase? They don't look like your analog pack but love the light and airy feel to these!
very original idea. it's the first time I've seen it on youtube. thumbs up. any comment about the shutter speed? what is the right shutter speed to avoid a partial display of the screen on the shot ?
omg, the area you were scouting is so close to where i live. Goes to show i’m missing so many things just because i’m used to it. Still worth doing after COVID. Great concept, great video. Thank you!!
This is really interesting. Indeed I think it is a good exercice to improve your photographer eye. I live in Tokyo. Let me know if you come here someday. Keep up the good work!
I'm new into photography/street photography and probably picked the worst time lol but am such a big fan of your videos man! They're so helpful and you're seriously good!
Really nice content ! It might be that i'm just short, but the higher point of view for taking pictures seems to work really well ! I might begin to start shooting with my camera above my head ! haha
I did exactly this... I visited parts of inner Spain through Google Street View for several years (not joking) before buying a Nikon Z5 and going there to do my first photography project. I agree with everything you say; it's a good way to scout and train your eye.
Hi Faizal. Editing images created by others is a very good way of exercising ones judgment. Plus, being responsible about others during that time in our history was the right thing to do 👏
First of all, this is really creative and looks rather fun. I need to try it out myself. Just a small suggestion about your facecam maybe think about putting on the bottom right corner instead of the left. The way it's now it looks like you're looking away from your screen. That might just be my personal preference though!
I did something similar to this for a racing event I couldn’t go to. I watched it on my tv and took photos with my iPhone on burst mode, then cropped and edited the photos, it was fun..
Well I'm on the road and still able to work and going in people's homes all day making sure they are staying up and running in Florida. So besides just visibly seeing all the shots I'm missing it's a bit frustrating while seeing history being made. When the weekend comes we can get out on our bikes or go for walks but I've been more tired than usual from the extra stress of being infected going into homes so just haven't had the will to do it. Maybe today though?
This idea is brilliant. I’ve been stocking up on film and developer this entire time.. I’d like to shoot outdoors already. But google maps can keep me busy for now.
This is a great idea but it’s definitely not flexible. Not complaining though, will definitely try it out! However, do you think the photos i take from this technique can be used as my own?
I am just wondering is there any copyright infringement for using Google Street photos and publish it online? I wanna to try this kind of video on my youtube channel. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration Mate!
Ive been recording every visitor to our street for example the waste recycling team, the post delivery folks etc. It’s been busy! Recording the community.
Dude, you're creative as hell! Definitely trying this out
I don't know if anyone else has come come up with this idea but you might just have started a new thing here. Brilliant!
This BLEW my mind. Now I have another thing to pass the time, and of course, practice my street photography. And "travel" to places I've always wanted to go haha
It's crazy!! I always knew about this feature, but I never looked at it as a thing to take photos in 😂
Probably one of the most original content creators ever. And yes this is creative as hell. Love your uploads!
Dude this is a brilliant idea! Love to see it, definitely trying this soon!!
This is what I've always done when I was bored at work in the office. I am glad someone made a video about it! Keep up the great work!
I've just been going through some of my old photos from my harddrive and re editing them. Also, finally making my portfolio website lol. Thanks for the amazing content Faizal! Hope to meet you someday!
I'm doing the same thing!!
Great idea. Half the time I spent in-game in Marvel's Spider-man on the PS4 was taking street photos but of course all of them had Spidey in it hahaha

What a great idea! I did some street photography in Tokyo a couple years ago. I went in July. My advise would be avoid July and August. The heat and humidity really slow you down. That's really all I would have changed about my trip.
This is the future of street photography. Great man!
What a creative fabulous idea!!! I think I will try this type of “street photography from home” because not only is it creative and fun, it will help me plan my next trip too, as you said. Thank you for sharing this!!!! 🧡

Yess, it's a great way to get a sense of an area. Hopefully it helps you make a decision!

Love the idea, simply brilliant
Man this is awesome. I had the same idea, either Google Streetview or in video games. I'll start on Streetview! Thanks for the inspiration.
I did exactly this... I visited parts of inner Spain through Google Street View for several years (not joking) before buying a Nikon Z5 and going there to do my first photography project. I agree with everything you say; it's a good way to scout and train your eye.
This is so creative!! I am a street photography lover and your video saved my 2020 😅

A very good way to practice the Art of Seeing, during a lockdown. 👍
This is so creative respect
I did something similar to this for a racing event I couldn’t go to. I watched it on my tv and took photos with my iPhone on burst mode, then cropped and edited the photos, it was fun..

This is mind blowing! But I'm curious about the copy right issue. Who owns the photo actually? Google? or the person that takes the screenshot?

Cool Japanese street photos! I am Japanese. Once this Corona mess is done, please come to Japan.
This idea is brilliant. I’ve been stocking up on film and developer this entire time.. I’d like to shoot outdoors already. But google maps can keep me busy for now.
Nice video and channel! You gained a sub 💪
Great idea! But what about the copyright ? Is this think legal ?
This is a great idea but it’s definitely not flexible. Not complaining though, will definitely try it out! However, do you think the photos i take from this technique can be used as my own?
Yeah I wouldn't call it your own since this is technically Google's property. I think this should just be used as a practice form, so play it safe!
How did you edit the colors?
So, this is a shoot or a screen shoot then edit with preset?
Oh, this is amazing!
Great idea. I'ma bout to walk the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. ;)
Beau Mitchell hey imma do the same cuz its my town man🙌🙌
creative af
damn. this is just something else
This is such a cool idea. Another level of street photography haha
Not the same, but it'll have to do for now lol
@@FaizalWestcott It's the next best thing. Can't wait to go out and shoot again.
I am just wondering is there any copyright infringement for using Google Street photos and publish it online? I wanna to try this kind of video on my youtube channel.
