The Janitor is going beyond our expectation! When you are are working on your own, and do not have to attend worthless meetings (and meetings about meetings), you can be really really productive.
Arthas has been a pretty consistent winner of these patches. The Trait talent reworks made a build that at least partially focuses on it a bit more viable ( The silence for the Lvl 13 isn't very long ,true, but when combined with the Lvl 16 talent that makes it hit twice in a row AND the fact that it now also reduces the base cooldown of the Trait, means Arthas actually has a way to lock down enemies more efficiently by having roughly half a second of silencing relatively frequently)
Yeah the duration is probably low because they think of it as an interrupt rather than a real silence. Making it a stun like Muradin's 7 might proc defensive talents like Ragnaros' 13, Tychus' 7, Kharazim'13 etc... It would also make it cancelable by Malf and proc Morales' vanadium plates.
many abilities can be interrupted by that 0.25s silence even if they not channeled. Ults including. So even if it's not a consistent way of countering abilities - it's a nice to annoy enemies with random interrupts on some of their abilities xD
@@romanpyatibratov4361it honestly makes Arthas kind of scary to a lot of Heroes if he manages to close the gap. Which is fitting, as he *should* be more of a threat.
Seeing this patch made me think that we might even see hero reworks in the future. First thought was Probius getting fixed pylons on all maps like Skarner from LoL, plus he can put down his own ones that expire after a short period. Then I thought about KTZ, giving him Glacial Spike from the beginning and getting 30% spell armor at 15 stacks and then an additional 45% at 30 stacks. Makes him able to lane a little better and 1v1 with glacial spike, plus he gets some of his damage earlier.
1. The Arthas changes these past few patches feel like a part of the rework he *should* have gotten almost 7 years ago. Shame we'll probably never get that new model they were apparently working on for him 2. Malthael also, in my opinion, needs a rework. Some of his talents & abilities need significant buffs (His E has been terrible from Day 1, for instance) and he needs a way to actually refund mana (like, maybe his trait increases the rate he regenerates Mana for every Hero afflicted?) I say this because while Malthael is supposed to be a hyper-specific anti-tank pick, he's not even that good at it because he dies to stuns & prolonged fights so easily.
FYI, the attack damage boost Greymane receives in worgen form is "40% increased basic attack damage", which stacks additively with other damage modifiers affecting his basic attack damage, i.e. Lord of His Pack translates to ~35.7% more damage in worgen form. Executioner translates to ~21.4% more damage in Worgen form. In conclusion, this change will make the level 16 talent affect the worgen form more than the human form both in relative and absolute terms, whereas previously, it was equal in absolute terms, but worse in relative terms for worgen form. As an Abathur main, I can tell you, this change will be huge for Grey'bathur. 'Symbiote - Spike Burst' has a cooldown of 6 seconds. At level 1, you get access to 'Pressurized Glands': Increases the range of Symbiote's Spike Burst by 25% and decreases the cooldown by 1 second. At level 16, you get access to the talent 'Envenomed Spikes': Abathur's Symbiote's Spike Burst also Slows enemy Movement Speed by 40% for 2 seconds. This translates to Greymane having almost permanent upkeep on Executioner / Lord of His Pack. If you have permanent upkeep on Lord of His Pack, Alpha Killer will break-even against targets with an effective base health pool of 2467. This includes all tanks except Anub'arak (Garrosh and E.T.C. don't have enough base health, but armor which increases the effective health above the threshold), Deathwing, Varian (Taunt), Yrel, Leoric, Artanis and Chen. Depending on talent choices, a few more heroes would be above this threshold. In general, the enemy teams have more squishies than non-squishies, so unless you see them running a double tank setup or can never get past the tank, Lord of His Pack seems to be only realy choice with a Grey'bathur here.
After the nerf of greymane's worgen auto, this buff is welcome. Is it enough to overthrow Valla and other modern auto-attackers ? I have some doubts. You are still vulnerable to almost all CC and need a lot of investment for a result other heroes reach naturaly or with little help. On another note, Grey'bathur is getting a lot scarier indeed. I think Cocktail builds might also benefit from it too, as Cursed bullet + Cocktail + E + Auto + Razor Swipe + Auto was already on the verge of killing some 1800-1900 base HP heroes with aba's help. The kill threshold has gone up with this patch. So I see this change as an increase to Greymane's burst rather than an increase to its constant DPS. On a side note, since the damage bonus procs on heroes, but works on any target, it might make siege and depush a little easier if an ennemy hero stands in your lvl 20 tooth and claws.
I think Athas's 0.25 second silence will randomly cancel a lot of abilities. People will randomly be confused about why their escape abilitiy didint work. Kinda like Mura's skull crusher. So annyong when mura just right clicks you. A lot of random cancels.
Think you're underselling the Lili buffs. Turning Lili's heal into a 3 second double heal at level 16 before additional CDR is really looking for trouble IMO. Her healing is balanced against her not being able to split her heals. This talent combo goes a long way to removing that limitation. Also, giving her 75 armor essentially forever @ 20 is horrifying.
With 'Shake It Off', the CDR from Fast Feet is increased from 50% to 75% and if she gets stunned she gets 35 armor for the duration of the stun. While I do welcome the additional 2 seconds for the talent, the 35 armor is still a joke, considering you get an additional ability with Safety Sprint at level 4. which provides 30 armor and 30% movement speed for 3 seconds on a 30 second CD and it doesn't compete with excellent heroic upgrades or a great additional ability to heal. I still took that talent on rare occasions, but that was more for the CDR, because it affects Let's Go's cooldown and having the cleanse available more often can be really nice. However, the +5 armor compared to 'Safety Sprint''s active ability hasn't been of much help to me. Increase the armor it provides to 45 and I can see the talent being actually good enough against higher ranked, better coordinated opponents who will kill you before the stun(s) expire(s) with only 35 armor. You're better off simply playing safe against these kinda opponents instead of taking the stun for your team and die as the healer.
lili's level 1 change is not smol fan, thats a huge change with two jugs. Before it was only 5->4, now 4>3 seconds. That 1 second equals 33% of increase in heals if it hits two people (which is not difficult at all, it also hits you)
Oooo as a murky specialist that talent seems so interesting, i wonder if fake eggs can proc the shield regen, egg shield is such a rare talent because of how ocassional it is to have a reason to pick it, example: enemy team has no good egg hunters like medivh tyrande etc, enemy team has no death scaling heroes like butcher so it allows you to die with less repercussions, enemy team has a lot of point and clicks and are all ranged leaving fish tank and healing bubble hardly effective when fighting them When those rare conditions meet you can choose your call and use the giga tank murky of egg shell + big tuna kahuna and pressure your enemies with a 6k health juggernaut that has an invulnerability buttom, stuns for 3 seconds, slows, and revives full 6k hp after 14 seconds, it can overwhelm the enemy team who wastes their resources to save their team mates by focusing you and allows your team to have an advantage in team fights
Those Arthas updates are a huge buff. The D build is already a power house late game if you're able to get to 16, the added silence is wicked good!! Thanks FAN!
So I think the Chen buff just means that you can cast it in a different direction from how you are moving. So instead of just transforming and moving the same direction you can control your initial moving direction better to do stuff like about faces or sharp turns to catch people off guard.

The Lili Free Drinks change is not minor dude. In a teamfight after level 16 when you have the double heal, often you have teammates under 50%. Getting the extra 1sec CDR is literally 20% more healing, even more if you are against a heavy DOT team like Malth, Lunara, Gul'Dan, etc. so you can keep minor damage on yourself to keep Fast Feet up all the time. It's actually huge.
I started playing hots like a year ago but not that actively, because me and my friend know it's almost a dead game so it was just for fun because we've played LoL for 10 years now, I love the concept of hots and how the game actually revolves around team play, if this game were to come back, I would switch off League 100%
Correction Fan, additive is less than multiplicative if it’s an increase. Example: increase 10% twice Additive 1,0+0,1+0,1=1,2 = 20% increase Multiplicative 1,0*1,1*1,1=1,21 = 21% increase It’s because you’re adding 10% to the new value rather than adding 10% of the base value. And the higher the increase the more it scales.
re: the Samuro crit change - I hate how they constantly raise the skill floor of heroes. We should be rewarding players for good mechanics, not the other way around.
I agree, egg shell is a niche and rare talent but believe me or not it does have it uses and it can shine where fish tank and healing bubble cant, you just need all the conditions for the egg shell + big tuna kahuna tank to work
It's niche. I still think the other two are better however I can see if it works with Egg Hunt being not a meme pick. There's some games where you aren't allowed to proc Fish Tank and going to a teamfight with Big Tuna and shield you can continue to regen could be interesting.

Example: increase 10% twice
Additive 1,0+0,1+0,1=1,2 = 20% increase
Multiplicative 1,0*1,1*1,1=1,21 = 21% increase
It’s because you’re adding 10% to the new value rather than adding 10% of the base value.
