  • Here is how to fix your Tefal Multicooker with the error code E0.
It’s basically a bad design fault because the problem is that they have put wiring for connecting the lid to the base through a tight fitting and one or more of those wires got snapped during use of it.
All you need to do is to fix the broken wire and make the fittings a bit lose for the wires.

Hey, man, you're a star. I had this same error and it was exactly this. Funny thing was the way the error manifested itself. At first, I would get an error only when the lid was open. It never used to do that, I figured maybe there was a switch that hadn't been working until now, lol. Having seen your video the reason is obvious; the wire was broken at the hinge, but it still made contact when the lid was down. Until it didn't, and then I couldn't use it at all. I found your video and now the unit works again.
Many thanks for doing this, and a shout out to all the people who fix things and make videos to help others in the same situation. You're all making the world a better place.

Hey Chris, glad to see people are happy with the video and that you took tour time to share your story and feeling. I have been fixing things since I was a little kid and that was my passion since a few years ago that I thought maybe I could have used all those time in a more productive way and started to repair less but now after seeing all these positive comments it makes me to feel better and maybe film more of my repairs and share it with others here. Thanks 🙏

Had exactly the same problem. Repair two snapped wires by soldering them together and heat shrink wrap to protect them by the edge. Hot glue might work better than tape to keep them in place. Can you imagine how many of these multicookers have been throw away just because of a simple wire? Thanks for the upload!!

Check the part 2 as well, I forgot to explain about the two little drain holes and you have to make sure they are not blocked. Also, at the end lift the handle up before screwing the water tank holder in the back.

@@davinzhcentcode7152 sounds like a circuit issue, most probably the main capacitor is gone. Try replacing all the capacitors but do a search on Tefal induction cooker error 1 and see how to do it. If you live in UK then it’s cheaper in a long run to replace the whole thing.

Thanks a lot. I had 2 wires snapped. The yellow and the red on the other side. The only one which is still looking good is the red next to the yellow and the funny thing is that is the only cable which was not put into the black cable clip at the lid right above the metal. That plastic clip is supposed to keep the cables in place , but they forgot to put the red one in and when I open and close the lid, I can see it move left and right, so if it was in the clip it would strain at each open and close and it only survived because it was wrongly built in. I would call that a design error. Without that clip the cable can move strain free and it will not break that easily. The second design error was to use stiff cables. They simply snap. Rather use flexible cables, if a cable has to move and best design would avoid moving cables completely e.g. by wireless contacts as they are used e.g. for toothbrush chargers with just coils on each side, but that would be more expensive. They rather want to sell another machine every 2-3 years because a cable snapps.

Hi, Haslinda, search for "how to join wires without soldering" on youtube, if the wire is not long enough then find a piece of similar thickness wire and add it in between. I'm sure it will work.
