That build looks good for premade groups and solo. If less experienced players are wondering, It wouldnt do enough damage in random elites and you may run into issues on the sto's that require high dps. Unfortunatly the randoms have a lot of poor dps people you have to pick up the slack for...

It still does plenty fine in randoms and it keeps everyone else alive

For tanks running with 6 beam weapons is more optimal, plus with a torp on the back easier to keep up ETM.
Also I would have mentioned the Colony Tactical consoles with are a big part of survivability on current tanking builds.
CounterYolo Gaming has some excellent tanking guides for energy weapons and science tanking.

Colony tactical consoles are rarely used anymore, even on heavy aggro tanks. Not saying they're bad, but that changed a while ago.

@@AugmentedDictatorGames Guessing that that that meta change was when the valdore console was unlocked and used in combination with the DOFF Agent Nerul for healing.
Since Nic was using the colony consoles on that build i thought that he should of atleast mentioned them.
      Thanks for the info Auggie.

Yeah the build shown is a heavy as **** tank like it can tank hse forever, for most content or with a good group colony’s aren’t needed

Little rookie mistake on your build. Nothing major. Do not use placates or confuses while tanking. So, no jam target sensors or scramble sensors. If you are placating the target, they are not shooting you. If they are not shooting you, then they are shooting your team. If you confuse the target, they are not shooting you, but they will shoot your team mates. Your job is to pull threat and to hold that threat once pulled. Anything that stops this is you failing as a tank. It sucks because it means you can't use them as uncon procs, but your whole job is to keep the team alive. Nothing else matters.
I can tank defending the turei in korfez because I make all those vaadwuar pay attention to me and not the turei, and I hold their attention. If you use placates and confuses, those turei will die, the tfo will fail, and it will be your fault.
