I don't really understand their logic. I have to imagine that they could rake in more money for the show related ships if they just sold them. Even at a higher premium I can only imagine that they would get a lot of people outright buying then than using the disgusting gambling mechanic. But hey, I don't have the analytics so maybe I'm wrong. Can't wait to not get the Neo-Constituion when they inevitably put it in a gamble box.
They will put the Enterprise G in the next year's event, while I've seen people have them Cuz the bought it... I can wait to choose it in a coupon. (mainly Cuz I KNEW it was going to be a gamble ship initially, lol)
@@PhillipLemmon I'm not a fan of the shangra-lenterprise. It's bulky and graceless and too much of a throwback. Especially compared to the ship it replaces. The F in it's brief appearance was magnificent. The G is blocky, abrupt, and awkward.

If you're a true fan of trek then you LOVE this design as a mix of super old and ultra new. And that being said I love trek (not a trekker or trekkie by any means, lol) and I love the ship. It will replace ALL my toons when I EVENTUALLY get it, LMFAO!

And I still think the G is awkward and graceless Being a "true fan" does not obligate you to agree with everything they do with their ship designs. If they had dragged a Constitution straight out of mothballs that would be one thing, but they didn't. It looks like one of those kitbash ships they would have hovering half destroyed in the background. It doesn't even match the other ships that are supposed to be it's contemporaries.

Flying it, loving it, having fun with the theme. Makes it a winning ship at the end of the day for a player like myself. I enjoy it more than my Legendary Excelsior.
I've had this ship as the background on my desktop, and the design has grown on me quite a bit. The Excelsior refit is my favorite ship in all of Trek, so I love riffs on the design. This is currently my #1 pick for the event token. Thanks for the detailed review.
Just to point out an extremely sad fact, the last trait we got that people actually use was "Vanguard Specialists" the one that came out with the legendary jem over 6 months!
Sometimes all you need in the game is to be able to have fun. That's the reason I fly the ship I do on my main KDF toon. To bad it's a Phoenix lock box ship or I'd use it on other toons I have. The fact that ship is a lock box ship, it will be a pass for me. I'd think I died and gone to game Heaven if I had a ship that did 100K DPS. Thanks for the review.

My build is very similar to yours with 3 uncons so the console is up about every minute, it does ok stats wise, nothing massive but as you point out it's the boost to the other weapons that really counts. And it's just so much damn fun to use, sadly over all too quickly. I would love to see it's duration extended to 25 sec but that's probably too much but I'd definitely be happy with 20 sec. I am testing the Enhanced Induction Coils uni console to see if the aux, shield and engine power boost pushes up this consoles damage output, seems to so far but not as much as I expected.
Hey I can say that testing it with exceed safety limits and red matter capacitor that the damage boost can go to 100.9% with those two going. Distributed targeting will also work with the console and although redirecting arrays does not target rich environment does. The console is also affected by haste like the dprm.

Thanks for doing a full look at this ship Spencer! I was tempted for this one for sure, but the lack of ability to do cannons just made me disappointed enough I can't justify the massive cost. Takes away one of the best parts of Surgical Strikes, imo
I just don't fly it because the lack of kitbashing. I took the trait and console into my MW Excelsior (that is more versatile tbh) and it's good there. I will keep this thing on Dry Dock until I have a real reason to use it.

It definitly look as new modern ship. But i cannot put it into 2380s-2390s. I mean registry is off by a mile. Each Excelsior II ships have their registries in 40000, not 80000-90000 that would have ships of that time. This would make production of this new Excelsior somewhere in 2340s, at the time that Original and refit versions stop with production, as a direct successor. However taking that they were not seen in Dominion war (because designed and created for Picard show of course as new class) people would say they are "new" ship. If they have registry in 80000, or 90000 i would say why not but registry is to darn low.
You can set the registry/name to basically whatever you want. By default it just gives you a random name/number, and I had only changed the name. So if you want it in the 40k range you can do that.

Their production team obviesly do not know or care for the continuity at least for ships. Then you have a number of ships that they put together like Sagan, Duderstat, Exchelon which all looks the same with same parts and of course some of normal well known ships like Akira, Sovereign, Steamrunner. But what is problem is registries. Yes you can put whatever you want, but they obviesly doing just that. If you have let say Voyager having registry 74656, and we knew that she was lauched in 2370, that means that by 2370 starfleet already have ships that have registries in 74000, then suddenly twenty years later in 2390s you have ships with registries in 40000. It simply doesnt have sense. No sense at all. It is one of many things that do not have sense with Picard series.

So these insane bundles that they spend 90% of their development time making basically don't exist for me. I used to buy a ship basically every month or two, but I just can't justify it anymore since those bundles started and their monetization spiraled out of control into what it is now. Sucks being locked out of all the best stuff in the game for the last 6ish years but it is what it is. Sorry for ranting, again thanks for the response, your channel is great! Holding em for a few weeks is the plan for now.
@casualsab Would you be able to do any testing on the console to see if certain traits give it any buffs? Like preferential targeting, superweapon ingenuity, target rich environment, strike from shadows, superior area denial, the best diplomat and overwhelming force?
Bit late, sorry, but Preferential Targeting, Best Diplomat, and any other +beam, +faw, +BO buffs seems to be boosting it. Can't extend duration though.
I keep looking at it... and seeing like that saucer is almost rectangular shaped, it really looks like picard would ram alot big ships if he had this one... or it's for pizza!
I was in the process of saving for this on console. I think I'll pass. I was looking for a good intel ship to do a SS3 build on. I'm currently using the Legendary Kelvin Constitution which is 5/3 and uses cannons.
I don’t like the Excelsior 2 at all… I do like my Legendary Excelsior though. Mind you I didn’t like the new Stargazer and it grew on me (I lucked out and got it with a single key that I could afford at the time). I wish they would bring out the Prodigy. That is one tiny ship that would be awesome. Instead of transwarp it could use the alternate warp core method.
Console looks really fun and pretty effective but all that cash for a fun console for only one of my toons isn't worth it to me. I get why people are buying this though!

My Excelsior class 2 disappeared in my inventory and it's not in my Shipyard I put it on my Shipyard and it's not there and it just disappeared the console still there and a trait I don't know I have to check but my ship is disappeared I want make a build this week but it's gone I didn't touch that LOL why disappeared I want Star Trek online giving that ship back for me for free

Was the trait for this ever changed/buffed? LOVE the look of the ship, thinking of grabbing it from the event box.
No, but I'd say to hold off until we know what the 14th Anniversary bundle looks like in ~2-3weeks. This is one of the possible ships it may have.

Sagan is higher because Cryptic hasn't done a promo pack event in several weeks. I've seen some being sold in TheTradingChannel for 1.7b tho.

Will that console not fire off if you have SS running?
The console has integrated phaser beams that fire separate from your normal beams. Allows the console to do its thing even if you have no beams on.
