Bangladesh, a country in South Asia, was originally East Pakistan, before it broke away from West Pakistan in 1971, during a violent war of liberation. Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries on earth. The Muslim majority nation is packed into the world's largest river delta which flows into the Bay of Bengal. Despite suffering floods and widespread poverty, the people of Bangladesh exhibit remarkable resilience and pride. This episode shows some of its history and the important role that the Catholic Church has in the development of this Asian nation.
