What a huge loss for his family, friends, all us fans, and all who had the honor to work with Kris.
Kris wrote the well-known song, Me and Bobby McGee
and the first Queen of Rock, Janis Joplin made it reach the Top with her unique and perfected voice.
Kris' music, voice, songs and acting got me thru some real hard times especially, when he sang with his fellow band members 'The Highway Men', Willie, Waylon, and the Man In Black, my favorite, Johnny Cash.
From the time I was born, voices and music like Kris, Johnny and many other great Country singers played in my Home(s).
Because of "life", I already understood the messages in the songs. I felt and understood the feelings and emotions of the songs as a young Child. I understood what would move a singer and musician to create these songs, because it was right in front of me wherever I turned. No, it wasn't the right exposure for a child, but that's the way it was back when.
Music, Lyrics, Instruments and Voice moved me in all directions then and continues to do so now. It always will.
I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for Singers, Songwriters and Musicians and in many genres at that.

RIP Kris Kristofferson (June 22, 1936 - September 28, 2024), age 88

they can barely wipe the smiles from their faces as they play you can tell how much fun they are having performing it's awesome.
Kris said in recent years that he loved his time with the Highwaymen and had a blast, it wasn’t until Waylon and Johnny passed that he realized what an HONOR it was to share the stage with these Great Legends!! Typical humble Kris because he too is a Living Legend! ❤️💞

I got to see the Man in Black and his family back in the early 80s. It was an epic experience. Wish I'd seen the rest of these legends.

I usually listen to classical music, but these guys grab my attention when I see them on You tube since Kris is retired, and Merle and Johnny are gone. They were of my era, but not of my genre at the time. I have no idea what you are asking, since I am totally self taught on my IPad.

I was so fortunate enough to have got to see them singing at a Farm Aid Concert at Texas Stadium in the early 1990s. Still remember Ghost Riders in the Sky and the goose bumps I felt that night.

Several people have commented on several different songs from this concert about Willie not being in beat with the others. It's not that Willie is off the beat -- his guitar playing is flawless and legendary!! He's always back-phrased! Waylon Jennings just like at one point in the middle of a concert told him "Back-phrasing hell -- you just cain't sing!!" it brought the house down!!😅
Willie does that all the time in live shows, and honestly I find it annoying. Personally I find him easier to listen to on a recordings.

As an 18 year old DJ the first big time entertainer I ever interviewed was Johnny Cash. That set the bar pretty high. Met all of them except Waylon. These guys...the best there has been.
Johnny Cash had a concert in Bergen, Norway in 97. After the show he were stopped at the door of one of the night clubs. Proper tie required.
I would.have loved to see.their concert live wished.they born late 30s an40s. They always have a place in my heart.

Willy really ought to try and follow meter, when he’s singing with other artists. Otherwise, a great video.
