Honestly, I am relieved to hear you speak of the troubles of motherhood, it's real. Shows we aren't alone and you aren't either. Your feelings are valid and I'd rather you be honest then pretend parenting toddlers is anything but a train wreck. Toddlers are no joke. We all go thru seasons in life. The last 7 years have been hard for me and sometimes I just want to throw myself on the bed and sob but then i realize i dont have the energy.😄 Sound familiar? Just know that we care and we want to know what is truly going on so that we can understand more about angel man syndrome. Go ahead let it out as you cant keep it bottled in.
You are not a miserable human being. You are an amazing daughter and mum and wife who is so tired and overwelmed and probably needs the world to pause while you catch your breath. I feel super privileged to be able to have a glimpse into your life. I dont need you to pretend to be all put together. I love your openness in sharing your brokeness. Oh Dear Emily, I wish I lived closer to you (I do live in PA) . I would help in ANY way I could. I understand your frustrations will all that your going through. Many years ago now when my youngest was young (I'd say 2 thru 10 or so) he was diagnosed with ADHD & a couple of other things that made him very difficult. It wasn't anything like Angelman Syndrome I'll admit , but it was so difficult! AND to make it a bit more difficult, I was 45 when he was born.Emily, don't worry about your "burn outs " they can "help" to get you through. Don't worry about "us" ! We all love you no matter what!! I would like to say what a WONDERFUL husband is Will. 💙

Have you considered converting Griffin's sleepers to "anti climb" sleepers? Examples are on Amazon and Etsy. They restrict mobility just enough so that legs cannot be swung over the crib. Might be a short term solution.

Oh dear girl, I wish you had more support. You can't be all things to all situations or you will burn out.
Praying God will give you strength to get through your days. Do you have friends or parents of children at school that can do drop off and pick up of Harrison and Wynn? Order groceries online. A couple of teens that can come in after to school to play with the children.
Can Will's Mom come for a visit? You and Will need support. Don't be afraid to ask for help!
Good job Harrison !! I would have left it exactly the way it was. I have learned to pick my battles over the years with my kiddos. Hair is definitely on the low end of the totem pole. I want to bring this to her attention. I wish she had an email. It's a crib tent and could be a good solution until they have something more permanent. I think Griffin will be fine in the crib for a bit longer, especially now that the mattress is on the floor.
I'm sorry you're going through so much right now. Please don't run yourself into the ground. Prioritize what's important and let the little things go. You cannot always be in control of everything...and sometimes it's better not to sweat the small stuff.

Get one of those little WyzeCams. And put it in Griffins room where he cant get it. Very cheap and you can watch the videos on your cell or computer. That way you could see if he is seizing at night. They have night vision on them. I will be praying for you. Life can be exhausting sometimes. Hang in there. It will get better. 💋

Please do not lose your mind. You kind of need it. You have the entire world on your shoulders right now. Will is there and supportive and is as generous with his time as you are. This chaos is so much. Doing your Mom's work on top of your own is just icing on a very full cake. I worked from home for 20 years and some days there just was no catching up so I stayed there at the computer until it was done. I had a commitment to keep. It's a big responsibility to be a work-at-home Mom. I did it with 3 kids a total of 14 years apart. Doing it with 6 under age 10 makes for a very busy life. I pray for your Mom's recovery and understand how ill she is from your words. You have a virtual support system here. Everyone who's here wants to hear what you have to say. I'm not going anywhere.
I don’t know if u have thought about a crib tent - I was 100% against this tent but bc my grandson climbed out of his baby bed at 10 months & I have hardwood floor - so on Amazon I found a tent that the mattress sets on top and it zips - Bc I so feared him getting hurt I tried it & it was perfect & I love it & the fact is it really helped w sleep training on my granddaughter I bought it on Amazon & it’s Amazon choice crib tent - it was $139 when I bought my first one but I just looked it up on Amazon & it is only $75 - I have a camera in their baby rooms so for the first month all I did is watch them & it’s turned into one of my best purchases- & it’s made out of same material the new breathable net & all security ties are where a child can’t reach and bc the net has a base that fits in the crib & the mattress sets on top - a child is safe - just thought it may help - always sending prayers for your family & especially ur mom - hope this may help

That's Inappropriate-Meredith Masony and Juggling the Jenkins-Tiffany Jenkins. I am a member of Hot Mess Express which is Meredith's Private group. She is a godsend for a lot of us in the group. We have made great friendships with so many people in that group.
Also order your groceries and have them delivered or just pick them up. Walmart has it. Download Instacart they have the stores in your area and the same sales and you can add your loyalty cards to certain shops. The shopper shops and will deliver it to you. They can communicate with you through text in the app if something is sold out or needs substituted. It’s so nice. I use it all the time as a single mom with chronic illness and pain with Crohn’s disease and it’s a wonderful thing. Try it out. One less hassle.

Does your grocery store have either delivery or a way you can just do a pickup?
I’m in AZ but all of our stores have a way to order online and then I just go pick it up! It’s so much easier, especially with kids!

Listen. Its ok we all do it and you’re human. Keep showing the real life. It’s not all fun and happiness life happens and moms can get pushed to their limits too. Sometimes you can’t let your kids over take you. They don’t have to be wild to be happy. Especially in a tough time. You need to have quiet time or have them settle down because it makes the anxiety higher. It’s ok to tell them to stop yelling. Don’t apologize for being a mom and a human being. I love juggling the Jenkins and that’s inappropriate with meridith. They live in Florida and are funny. I hope she gets better. If she has Medicare the hospital could have referred her for a visiting nurse service. Her admitting dr or her primary can order one that’s covered by her insurance and send her hospital records. Have you looked at the crib tents?That you put over top to keep him from climbing out. Also look at eBay or buy sell trade on fb they may have some cheaper.

I probably dont know what I'm talking about, but couldnt you just put his mattress on the floor and then install a baby bvb gate to gate off that corner of the room? Like maybe even do two gates to make it taller. I dont know. Just speaking my thoughts. I'm probably totally wrong. Haha
Megan Dunn that is a good suggestion. She did say they were going to do something like that but he is strong and needs it to be tall enough for him not to climb out. Baby gates aren’t long like vertically. He could easily rip it out I bet. Unless it’s a real sturdy kind.

Yes he’s actually doing well for angelmans syndrome. But yes there is a chance he could not walk or walk normally as the disease progresses. Especially if he’s having seizures

Surely it will be cheeper for a Carpenter to make you one from scratch? It seems awfully overpriced which is so wrong as it’s for someone who has a disability. I would set up a go fund me there is no shame in asking . We all want to help. You have 60k+ subs if we all gave $1 it would be enough for a few things that would help the kids . It’s also safer than people sending money in the post to you.

I've heard of people talk of some sort of netting for the top of the crib that prevents them from being able to climb out. I'll do some research and let you know what I come up with. Yes, I agree with others, start a "Go Fund Me"......IT WILL WORK. I will contribute as I know many others will also. Our prayers are also with you, you are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo wonderful! X's and O's for all. In the mean time, they make pajamas for climbers so they can't get a leg up on the bar. Check out this pair on Amazon. If you like the idea and can't find a pair large enough, let me know - I can sew some real easy. It shows other pajamas but I included the entire page because it has the crib nets, so scroll down once it opens. Or, one more option, sorry this is so long - Put him in one of those sleep sacks with a zipper in the back that he can't reach, FiveTwoLove had to do that for one of their little boys. He can stand, but can't climb. They said it works. (and if you can't find a sleep sack his size, please let me know, I can do that too) :-)

She does. She always calls him by his name. She doesn’t say “come here special needs boy”. Like why be here if you’re going to be negative move along. She’s dealing with enough. He IS special needs!
