I thought it was good. From the voice acting to the story, it felt like it captured the spirit of Kingdom Hearts.

So Weird was my childhood and Disney really fucked us over with not airing Kingdom Hearts. If it did air in my childhood, it would likely be on Disney XD and not on the Disney Channel like Phineas and Ferb, the Proud Family, Lilo & Stitch, and Kim Possible. I hope it would have been animated and not live action trash like most Disney Channel sitcoms.
Can you imagine if Sora had come up to Kairi as a heartless in Hollow Bastion and Kairi would have just kicked him in the face?
In the novel, she says she recognized Sora because of his hips. So, are all Shadow Heartless have different body types? Sora just looked like any type of Shadow Heartless.
The return of smug rival Riku and immature naieve Sora was so fun. KH1 was 10/10 for the character personalities. Makes me want to replay the first game again.

Wow. Roxas sure does work quickly. I just learned about this an hour ago. I honestly thought this was gonna be like an official KH pilot that came out years ago, but I guess it isn't. Honestly, it's very well acted for a fan made project.
This is a real pilot, not fan made. It was going to be an official TV series but got scrapped. The voice actors are the original ones from the games except for Sora as Haley was working on something else at the time.

But can we praise the fact that she saved Sora and turned him back to normal from being a Heartless?
Can we praise Kairi that she actually helped Riku to defeat a few Heartless and brought Sora and Riku home?
Can we praise the fact that she handled herself against Xion and managed to break through Xemnas's guard?
Can we praise the fact that Kairi helped Sora from fading and essentially helped everyone else from fading?
Can we praise the fact that she fought alongside with Sora against Xehanort?

Her kicking butt does not mean character development. Having a character who kicks butt is not a personality. This mindset needs to go because she is not that. Besides, she already got some action in KH2 and KH3, which I already listed out.

The thing is about those Kairi haters is that they treat her worse than Nomura as these people want to say. She does everything other than kicking butt. But they just wanna ignore it.

And you're also the problem here, too. You've ignored what I listed out and what the game showed. If you really liked Kairi then you should appreciate her about her character and her deeds and not because she kicks butt.

I'm not disagreeing with that. I do want to see more of her not just only kicking butt, but to also grow as a character. What we've seen in Melody of Memory shows us that she still needs more training and she is going to be training under Aqua.
I'm tired of this stupid notion that Kairi doesn't do anything in the games when she actually does and people like you just ignore it. I guarantee you that if she ever folds Master of Masters or Yozora, people will still complain and call her a Mary Sue. There's just no pleasing these Kairi haters. If you really like Kairi, then you have to acknowledge her character development that she went through in the games and not kicking butt.

Not gonna lie, for a storyboard, not bad. If it was to be a actual show, then animation would be handled by a Japanese animation company.

Still fascinating. Imagine if the game started a little different, mid everyone hanging out, Riku would be a little less edgy “I’m not afraid of the darkness” and sora being picked up by goofy and Donald after the island was consumed by darkness. Would make more sense than just happening to portal to traverse town, while everything/everyone else disappears. It’s just interesting to think we could’ve had a completely different intro
Yeah 'cause since Square wasn't involved with this we wouldn't have gotten the Final Fantasy cameos.

This was actually pretty well done. The dialogue fits in a lot better when compared to kh3. I liked Sora and Rikus rivalry and when they said they were going to team up; I got chills. Nostalgia based I'm sure. It's a story board but I'm not a fan of the models. Jafars was the best. I loved how the choreography resembled soras fighting style. Overall this is a great piece of history that will hopefully bloom into something.
For a kingdom hearts fan who's been playing the series for twelve years, this animation is so uncanny for an unfinished project. This animation left me speechless and confused idk what to say.
This was surprisingly good for 2003 standards. Those faces had me dead 🤣🤣

He was working with maleficent and she pretty much had control of the heartless at the time so riku was just staging this entire attack to get Sora's attention
8:49 if they kept the Cave of Wonders as CG like it is in the movie, that would've rocked so hard. but nonetheless this find is just perfect, as a massive fan of both lost media and Kingdom Hearts. I hope the community does like a reanimated using the animatic and audio.
Slight tangential comment, YoshiP is actually wanting to do a colab/crossover with kingdom hearts.
The voices... will take some getting used to. Actually, a lot of this could take some getting used to. Like Donald being supportive, the use of the word universe etc. Goofy being awesome is just fine though.

Yeah the voice of Sora was done by someone else! I was pretty impressed with it though.
Supposedly it it's Haley and David before puberty so I think Kairi was the only cast member who was going through puberty at the time
Riku and Kairi maybe, but Sora is a different voice actor. They released the cast list a while ago
@@zacpadilla2432 I heard it was just pre puberty Haley and David so it made more sense Hayden was already in her early teens by the time they started recording kh1
will you ever do more breakdowns in the future? I kinda want to see one of Riku's different combos in 358/2 days. The combo with Soul Eater, Way to Dawn, and Oblivion.
I think it was Ansem who took over once Riku touched the lamp.

For what I assume is a small group of teens the art and copy paste job is. Great. A lil rough on the face and. The pass was more tight than actual kingdom hearts ( I kid but it is incredibly confusing at times)
The pilot is meant to be anywhere within the series which is why it doesnt start with destiny island and why agrabah is here.
Its just meant to be a episode on its own
