I haven't installed my v1 GKtech reinforcement kit yet, but I'm considering just buying the v2 because it addresses so many of the v1 issues. V2 has the drain holes for the traction rod built in and the proper bends for the other pieces. Although it's not an issue for the S13, that rear differential reinforcement is so much nicer on v2. The v1 diff piece consists of a tiny, thin piece of metal that doesn't look like it can help much.
I'm leaning towards that way. Better to do it right the first time. Did you guys paint the back of the differential piece? Seems like it could rust since the welds don't completely seal it and water may pool up in the tiny gaps.
Great Video Boys!
Thanks!
great video, ive been looking for a video showing the kit and what it provides!!!

Colin S yeah! It may be a good investment to upgrade now to the V2 kit. Lock down all then key areas before you reinstall the subframe.
