if you use a clear spray paint over the top make sure your paint and glue you use will not react with it. I had a problem that the clear coat spray made my acrylic paint bubble up under it causing flaking and I had to repaint again.

All the cutting you do, find something to sharpen your blades on the fly... It'll make your cuts easier

+LordKijack I'm making three of these simultaneously (still not finished) and I stuffed 2 of them with shredded paper someone sent as packing material. Compared to the third, they have serious heft.

Question, if I may. If I fill the hammer cavity with bubbly-wrap, scrunched up paper or plastic bags, will it give it extra sturdiness without affecting its structure (handle to hammerhead)?
I was also thinking about using a wider pipe for the handle but then am worried about the bottle-cap butt, as would need replacing. Any suggestions? :)
The Chenz yes you can fill it with things, for the wider pipe maybe you can use a bigger cap, if the bottle neck doesn't fit, you can just glue the cap :)
