I do not think the vendor was trying to overcharge by tricking you guys. I think there were miscommunications and some counting errors on both parties. Rest assured, Korea does not overcharge foreign tourists as they do in other countries like in Southeast Asia. And the best part about Korea when it comes to spending is that all the taxes and tips are included in your bills at the restaurants, unlike the U.S. where the tipping culture is getting way out of control. Cost in Korea in general is not cheap but it's not as expensive as in the U.S. Luckily, there are no hidden costs and insane tips in Korea as I mentioned before. The best part about Korea though is safety. It is a really really safe country!! Enjoy your stay!!

What you had were financiers. A financier is a small French almond cake, flavoured with beurre noisette, usually baked in a small mold. Light and moist with a crisp, eggshell-like exterior, the traditional financier also contains egg whites, flour, and powdered sugar. The molds are usually small rectangular loaves similar in size to petits fours.

You're so pretty, I wonder why you got a piercing on your nose. Still, in Korea, I have a lot of resistance to piercings on my nose, lips, and back..It doesn't look good either.
The tteokbokki that you got was probably not the best, especially because it was the last serving in that pan. And that small cup of it shouldn't have cost 6,000 won. For that price, you could've gotten a full plate of it at a restaurant.

hey..you should speak in Korean in Korea. Korea is not the easy country for you guys and so on to speak in English wthout any hesitation. At least you should learn the basik Korean expression before you travelled to korea. Isn't it right?
This was our first day, we learnt hello and thank you and had a really hard time trying to say it. I say it later on if you keep watching. Chase could not get it right. Some things aren’t easy for people to remember 😊
Welcome to korea! Tteokbokki is one of the worst Korean foods. Originally, traditional tteokbokki (called Gungjung tteokbokki) was a royal dish made with rice cakes, nuts, and beef with a little soy sauce. But now Tteokbokki is made from wheat flour, not rice cake, and has turned into a spicy and sweet junk food. Actually, chili had been around in Korea since the late 1700s, but it was rare. It took off in the 1970s. Kimchi also had no chili in it.
Thank you! That’s interesting to know. The original one you listed actually sounds so good! I wonder why they’ve changed it!? This was not the best thing we’ve tried but not the worst 😜
I ❤watching you guys! Your videos inspired me to visit Vietnam last summer. I had such a great time! I will be heading to Seoul next week and it would be nice to see you. 😊
We also compare these counties to Canada too. We like to see the differences between ALL countries. We aren’t saying they are the same. We are saying quite the opposite 😅
We enhance our voices to reduce the loud ambient noise in the background. When we do this our voices seem louder than they actually are. You can turn down the volume on your phone or computer. Also this was our FIRST DAY in a new country. We tried to say hello and thank you and it’s the most difficult words we’ve learned so far in our travels. In the following videos we start to get the hang of it.
I do not think the vendor was trying to overcharge by tricking you guys.

😆ee-hee-hee-hee
hmm, I think the street tukbokky guy either had miss calculated the change or over priced you guys
No, It's three times the price than normal. and does not look good test. you see it's the last leftover one.
dont forge to eat kbbq...

Ohhh if you have any suggestions let us know 🥰
Buy something.
We bought biscuits, tea and tteokboki?
You're so pretty, I wonder why you got a piercing on your nose. Still, in Korea, I have a lot of resistance to piercings on my nose, lips, and back..It doesn't look good either.
The tteokbokki that you got was probably not the best, especially because it was the last serving in that pan. And that small cup of it shouldn't have cost 6,000 won. For that price, you could've gotten a full plate of it at a restaurant.
Yeah it was dry and not the best! Next time we will try it at a restaurant or something more reputable 😊
TTeokbokki aint dry, what is going on with the caption.
Ours was dry in the cup, we’ve seen so much saucy tteokbokki since then. We had the last one of the night. That’s why
9000krw for some tea with some nuts and spices.. na thanks
It was a PRICY PENNY 💀 super good and unique though haha
@@ChaseandShelbs yeah but steep. If you note down all the ingredients I bet you can make it yourself
Oh my, she doesn't know who BTS is.... My hope is that you will learn and enjoy Korea more and more during your stay. I'm sure learning new things and discovering is part of the fun!
Oops no I don’t! Haha I’ll have to listen to some of their music 😊
It sure is, we truly love exploring and seeing new things, getting lost down the streets etc 💛
That is what you call a doggy treat
really u guys paid 6,500won? wow...supposed be 2,000won weird..
Yeah we aren’t exactly sure what happened. Just some miscommunication I think!
I’d love to see you two in China!I have the feeling you will be going soon?
We’re going possibly next year. It just didn’t work with our schedule this time 💛
hey..you should speak in Korean in Korea.
@@ChaseandShelbs Actually, instant cup noodles and ramen are worst as far as I am concerned.
