...That whole "The Onslaught" album is a masterpiece of all metal history ...is a banger from beginning to end ... filled with potent and aggressive riffs all over... there is not even 1 weak track n the album !!!
2021 and there hasn't been any new band as kick ass as Lazarus was!! Was a fan from the beginning and new these guys wouldve been on top... Still listen everyday!!
+Dhakmare779 I fucking love Chuck Billy's voice, it actually improved as he got older, it's so powerful! But this dude's voice doesn't remind me of it though.
Wtf had a heart attack at 28 ?!! God. I'm 53. That scares the shit outta me. How much drugs how much booze how much greasy bad food , I guess I'm either lucky or it's just not my time. RIP bro
Everyone in Kenosha was proud of Lazarus. Even the people who werent into metal were like "i know a guy who knows a guy thats in a succesful band!" It was really cool to see everyone being positive even if wasnt their thing. Lucky for me, it was my thing. Got to see them at Battle of Bands at Tremper High school (since bradford never did a battle of the bands when i was coming up at least). Love you guys, miss seeing you around since leaving Kenosha.
This band reminds me of my teens growing up in the 80's when the thrash and speed metal scene was up and coming. This band fucking rocks!! They remind me of Exodus, Dark Angel, and Slayer 🤘🤘🤘
The dynamics of the song is amazing myself as a drummerspot on that , if it couldn't be any better , my hats to the chefs that put that together the time it took blood sweat and tears amazing , do not stop
you can hear all the 80s thrash influences in this song, Overkill, Exodus, Metallica, Testament, Megadeth, and they do it beautifully. Best new(ish) thrash song I have heard in a while. (sorry, Im an 80s kid, anything after 2000 is new to me lol)
I know a lot of good bands, most local ones, that started after that, my point really was that Im not that familiar with post-92 metal as much as I am the stuff before that. Im learning though.
RIGodfatherOfMetal If you want to surprise yourself with some rather decent Thrash from "newish" bands try Havok, FKÜ, Hellcannon and Alkoholizer. And a couple Spanish bands that are very good aswell are Angelus Apatrida and Crisix. Just pick any random video they have on UA-cam and you should be in for a ride.
This band has harmony, power, skill, and balls all at the same time! That twin guitar action is totally reminiscent of classic Helloween! Good job guys!
I'm from kenosha and knew a couple of these guys and I booked em for a talent show at the local college in 09 or so...I had seen them so I knew what to expect and Holy fuck...they blew the fuckin doors off this tiny little cafeteria 😂😂😂 it was fuckin amazing...RIP Ryan.
YEAH! they're amazing live, I saw them and Ensiferum at a concert in november, it was amazing, the mosh pit was crazy, one of the best and most energetic live bands ever! Everyone should go see them live, seriously.
When I first discovered this band I was like holy shit with no weed. And now that I smoke weed and refreshin all these 2000-07 bands man Awesome. Darkest hour, gorgoroth, devildriver, at the gates, the black dahlia murder.
this band was fucking awesome, it's really sad that Ryan Shutler has left us, I keep dreaming that they will play again but the complete silence since 2015 does not leave much hope. RIP Ryan Shutler🤘
Was at this show at summerfest in milwaukee and it brings back great memories. Great wisconsin band and glad i got to see them multiple times and be at multiple concerts where they shot videos. The ultimate sacrifice video was insane when that video was shot. Thought the building was gonna come down from the mayhem.
A buddy at hockey gave me this album and it hasn't been out of my CD player for two weeks now. Don't get too pissed, but Jesus Christ I see and hear a lot of early Metallica thrash influence with these guys and I absolutely love it. This is what Metallica SHOULD HAVE been had they not sold out and went all corporate Bob Rock pussies. The grooves, the solos, the judicial use of the double bass drum just makes these guys kick some serious ass. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that bass player channeling some Cliff Burton with the long hair, ripped jeans and low slung bass. All references aside, they do kick some serious ass and I'm glad I found these guys, they're a breathe of fresh air in the metal scene. These guys are the throwbacks that dragged the scene back to its roots and I love it. \m/ \m/
Soy Mexican and I believe e in this music, mostly all of my friends don't so I enjoyed the heavy metal On my own for over 30 years now.i did went to concerts in San Diego, from pink Floyd, deep purple, etc and now I just listening to the new wave of metal, millions of fans all over the world can't be wrong.
***** I was not insinuating THAT whatsoever. Personally I've seen many bands put on better shows than Pantera. That's not a slight at Pantera. It's me saying that they were a better arena band IMO.
I want these guys on the radio!!!! They need to be way bigger!!! The end of the solo is my fav part :) I can't wait till I see them come out with a new album!
these guys are my lord and savior when it comes to metal because metal was slowly slipping away into an all pop error but these guys are bringing it back THANK YOU!
Usually i search for more unique sounding bands.. But this is just that plain old Metal that i fell in love with in the first place never heard this band before and i will press add to my Mp3 player for shure!
2024 anyone?? 🤘🤘🤘
Fuck yeah
YES!
Yes of course 🤘👿😡🇲🇽🍄

One of the best thrash metal bands ever put together.
Could this song be any better? Seriously, could it? It's literally perfect.

2021 and there hasn't been any new band as kick ass as Lazarus was!! Was a fan from the beginning and new these guys wouldve been on top... Still listen everyday!!

I work with the guitar player Dan gapen. Any words you wish me to relay to him?
@@nickdunn4896 I used to hang with Ryan and Dan. Hows Dan doing? He in another band?
0:20 Is the drummer windmilling?
Fucking brutal.
Also, pretty sure that if you combined all the band members it would look like Alex Webster.
Ryan Shutler. He passed away in 2015 sadly.
0:45 more good
Yeah that can't be easy to play drums and windmill
the drummer is a machine
was
yes I know
Yes...and he already passed away..sad.
Check out Infant Annihilator. Their drummer can play double bass and gravity blasts over 310 bpm.

Barely found this last month. Pretty dope
UA-cam recommended this as of now June 20 2019.

Guitarists voice is just AMAZING!
I strongly agree with this statement!
Totally agree with you and actually reminds me of Chuck Billy's voice from Testament. Is it only me?
+Dhakmare779 I fucking love Chuck Billy's voice, it actually improved as he got older, it's so powerful! But this dude's voice doesn't remind me of it though.
True, Chuck's voice is really impressive and powerful as you said. Oh well maybe its just me ;)
He should sing all the songs in my opinion.
Rest in peace, Ryan. The world has lost another great musician.
I see this band at that moment for the first time. What happened?
@@eqsmooth He had a heart attack and died in 2015 on tour, 28 years old.
Oh, my god!!! So young?
Wtf had a heart attack at 28 ?!! God. I'm 53. That scares the shit outta me. How much drugs how much booze how much greasy bad food , I guess I'm either lucky or it's just not my time. RIP bro
People that eat "greasy" fatty food have healthier hearts than people who eat sugary crap, look it up.
This band immediately caught my attention when i heard blast beats 😩
Blast beats in thrash should be commonplace at this point in human history.
Everyone in Kenosha was proud of Lazarus. Even the people who werent into metal were like "i know a guy who knows a guy thats in a succesful band!" Sad that these guys aren't making music anymore.
The riffs, the vocals, the drums, the entire song is a masterpiece! Pure Thrash Metal!!!
This has got to be one of the best metal intros ever. When that double bass pedal kicks in I can’t resist head banging 😂
This will never get old
Damn, that song kicked ass! These guy and Havok are the savoirs of thrash metal!
Thanks for some amazing music Ryan! RIP.
Man, it sucks Ryan died so young--he was a monster behind the kit. Rest in peace, dude.
Que falta faz o Lazarus, WE MISS YOU.. F 😞
I was introduced to this band today and can't stop listening to them.
Me too

I was introduced to them 10 years ago still listening to them 👍 check Warbringer Living weapon its another addicting one
I feel like this is the snare sound Lars was trying to get for St. Anger, but he couldn't find the right size frying pan.
Lars who?????
@@faustinoarcelay6036 Lars Lombardo the drummer for Megadeth
Right on the money!
🤣🤣🤣
Attack riffing, tight bass, monster vocal, Machine drumming. Miss you Guys. hell yaaahhh from bangladesh 🇧🇩
How long before we se another headrolling drummer in the middle of playin' heavy shit! Why?!!!!!!!! RIP Ryan Shutler! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!!!!!
Jordan Mancino of As I Lay Dying does the same
This band reminds me of my teens growing up in the 80's when the thrash and speed metal scene was up and coming. This band fucking rocks!! They remind me of Exodus, Dark Angel, and Slayer 🤘🤘🤘

Dude that play Kings V has some seriously good fucking voice!
Except it's not a King V :)
My mistake not Jackson xD
We miss you guys
Oy, my neck. Still bangin' in 2021.
They should reunite! This is brutal!!!
The guitarist should really song more, his voice is fucking unreal.
He does sing a lot more on their next album, Black Rivers Flow.
+Kanglar Excellent, I have yet to listen to it. Thanks for telling me.
fuck yeah
I'm still here in 2021!
The dynamics of the song is amazing myself as a drummerspot on that , if it couldn't be any better , my hats to the chefs that put that together the time it took blood sweat and tears amazing , do not stop

What happened to this band? Completely blew my mind first time I heard this years ago...
after their drummer died they quit :(
This band left a giant hole in thrash when they called it quits. Miss them every damn day
definitely, the onslaught was one of the best albums of the past 20 years
Was at this show at summerfest in milwaukee and it brings back great memories. Great wisconsin band and glad i got to see them multiple times and be at multiple concerts where they shot videos. We have havok
Tronci and Evile
Saw them in NYC, opening for Kreator. They were great live.
I miss you guys
if this vid was low quality i would have seriously been fooled and thought they were from the 80's! FUCK YEAH! metals back!
Still waiting for their return in 2024
Difícil
Lazarus a.d. need to get back together there's not many kick ass bands like them!!!
The Drummer died and the bassist is a piece of shit so i kinda doubt that anything else is gonna come from them
I love it. 55 years of experience . Never too old for thrash!
And I thought they didn't make them like this anymore!!!
Luv it, luv it alot :D

This band are awesome. Brilliant heavy guitars, thumping drums and a singer who doesn't screech or growl incomprehensibly. Win.
You can always expect a pretty intense show from these guys. A solid hardworking thrash band at its best.
I love when a band looks like they're thinking "I can't believe I get paid to play this kickass song in front of people!"
Muito foda esse som! Congratulations from brazil \m/
