Skipped school every day junior year with Ryan. safe to say he was my best friend for about a year. Ryan introduced me to Children of Bodom, In Flames and Killswitch..and Dan Gapen, the lead guitarist was around almost everyday too. Getting stoned and jamming. Nostalgia runs thick with me right now. RIP Ryan Shutler!
sorry to hear that, i just my guitar mentour and oldest ,longest known friend ,MIKE BUNTS, to a series of strokes ,56 yrs old, sucks, good hearted guy, funny,,,,anyway, Ryan's a drummer though, i bet if you knock on his stone , he'd still play drums, drummers are indestructable, he's just takin a beer break , cheers man
@@bingboompow8861 so bizarre man. We both hated school. Ryan just tapped on the table all day when we were in school. Drums just made sense to him. He moved to California and that's when he died in 2015.
My first memory of this band is from a mobile game called Tap Tap Revenge 3 on my iPod touch waaaaay back when I was a freshman in high school in about ‘09. I remember this was on “extreme difficulty” only and it was one of my favorites to attempt. It always had me vibing and head banging with the biggest smile across my face. I eventually looked up their other stuff and became a bigger fan knowing not many people knew about them. I always wondered what happened to them, and it’s sad to see their drummer passed, R.I.P. still some of my favorite thrash 🤘
Lazarus A.D. is another one of the very few bands to put a works together that every piece not only has its own groove, riff and grabs you by the throat immediately makes you want more! To any of you giving it a thumbs down, you must’ve came here from a Bon Jovi Clip. Go back there where it’s safe! 🤘🏻🖕🏻🤘🏻
One of the best new aged metal band for sure! When I saw them they were the first band to preform and the they are the only band I can remember from the show. They're that good! 🍻
Still one of my favorite bands. Listen to you guys all the time. Rest in peace Ryan. I can understand why the band didn't continue on after his passing. His drumming was essential to this bands sound. I always listened to metal for the guitars and singing but the drum beats are fucking brutal
Dang. Really underknown and underappreciated metal band. I caught them at a local club and was transfixed. Relentless in-your-face metal, for me holds power above most A-list metal bands. Lead singer is a good person and I am sorry for the death of their drummer.
awesome chops..you can tell these know their old school metal. these kinds of heavy grooves and ripping solos are just too damn rare these days. must be a killer show with Testament.
All I remember is that Lazarus was the first band to preform and still handing out cds to promote the band but yet they're the only band I remember from the show! Obviously the best to preform!
All I remember is Lazarus A.D. from the show I went to as well. They were the first to preform and after their set was done I was satisfied. I said to myself... you just saw the best band here. So I left. Walking back to the car I guy came up to me and asked if I just came from the show? Yes I said and then he handed me a ticket to the first ever Metal Music Award Show. Megadeth and Hatebreed were the best bands there.
So glad I got to see these guys open for Kreator and Voivod in Springfield, Va. I am an older dude who takes my metal seriously. I left that gig with the CD of this band. Money well spent.
WOW! This takes me back to High School when I first heard Lazarud A.D. I just purchased this CD to support them! I hope they come back eventually. Heavy as fuck!
saw them two nights ago, met the singer, very nice guy when they played this and that first guitar solo kicked in the tone was INCREDIBLE... these guitarists can truly fuckin shred... tight all around
I just saw these guys in Des Moines with Cavalera Conspiracy. It was the first time I'd heard them and I was highly impressed. Definitely "Old-School" thrash at it's finest.
I saw them recently. They were great. They are pretty young which is refreshing as metal is dominated by the old guard from the old days it's nice to see new faces. High energy and really tight. The twirling headbanging from them (including the drummer) all in sync was too funny and made me an instant fan.
I wasn't expecting much from unearth any ways - I think they are only on this tour because they are on metal blade-These guys deserve to be there no question.
When people talk about the new era of thrash, you hear names like Violater, Evile, Lich King, Municipal Waste, Warbringer, etc. But usually not these guys, which is sad because they are probably the best out of all those bands.
One of thrash best drummer ever and band too🤘🤘🔥🎸🪓GOOOOOOOOO9OOOOO!!
R.I.P. Ryan Shutler. One of the best thrash metal drummers of this decade.
How did this guy pass on?
@@tomkenny7367 As far as I remember it was a heart attack or sudden cardiac death. He was 27 years old.
😢
Yeah man, 2020 sucks ass but this song is amazing 🤘🤘🤘
Ryan is my cousin, I unfortunatly never got to meet him but we both ended up drummers oddly enough
2020 and it's still a head banger!
🤘😣
You bet
2019
2020
2023! 😁🤘

Nobody can say this band isn't badass and heavy as shit while they're not bold faced lying to you! What a perfect mixture of awesomeness. \m/-
I miss this band, they had so much talent. Saw them live back in 2010.
R.I.P Ryan...My Condolences to the Family & Friends!!!
RIP Ryan! One of the best thrash metal drummers ever! \m/

I haven't listened to metal in about 10 years... I pretty much gave up on it. This band gives me a new appreciation for the future of the genre.
Look into Warbringer..Havok 1st ones that come ro mind..Havok is pretty damn good and im a 80s metal conasouer..lol
R.I.P Ryan....... among few headbanging drummers I've seen (so far)

R.I.P Ryan Shutler. My favorite drummer from my favorite band. You will be missed
Death metal mixed with thrash tuning and Exodus/hardcore vocals = superthrash!!!
All I think of when you say that is Powertrip by Chimaira

Dear Lazarus A.D.
Thank you for being an amazing Thrash Metal band from Wisconsin, maybe people here will respect it more
i hope we will se a Reunion like Pantera .....pls dont let US wait as long as Pantera does❤

Finally I have found the Metal I've been looking for.
Can't believe it's been years since I had listened to this song!!!!
Still bump this album from time to time. Bummer they only made 2 albums...Love their sound
awesome chops..you can tell these know their old school metal. these kinds of heavy grooves and ripping solos are just too damn rare these days. must be a killer show with Testament.
A minha banda preferida da nova onda de thrash metal mundial. Uma pena que acabou
saw these guys in hartford last night. pretty sick group. chilled with them after the show, they were pretty awesome.

Lazarus AD is the best band!!!
Very quality and dynamic metal songs. I am listening everyday...GR8
I just saw them last night too it was a kickass show!
262,529 views in 6 years? This just isn't acceptable!
I'm doing the best I can :)
up to 400k, still unacceptable!
bands cool but the vocalist is too hard to get use to despite everything else. if he changed to deeper vocals than I would probably love this band.
This type of music should never be mainstream
Leave that to the shitty pop artists these days
great band. i saw them about a year ago at small show on chicago's south side. they deserve success.
Amazing music. Great.
Saw them at Summerfest yesterday, bought the album immediately, these guys are amazing.
WOW! This takes me back to High School when I first heard Lazarud A.D. I just purchased this CD to support them! I hope they come back eventually. Heavy as fuck!
Ryan shutler and dave lombardo..most underrated drummers ever !!!!! U are both my endless idol!!!
I simply love this band!!!!
Nothing short of breathtaking.
RIP Ryan Shutler
my favorit song off the album by far.

Amazing song! I got "the metal chills."
IDC what anyone says this is in the top 5 of greatest thrash metal songs
nice to see Dimebag playing bass!
That snare is fucking mint.
some people don’t realize that the album came out like a year earlier with a different mix and artwork this sounds better
Miss these dudes
Wooooow....this is perfect

I still listen to this CD and wish they went further than 2.
Best thrash I've heard for years. Thanks.
3:52 Yes.
Right back into that juicy riff.
as soon as i saw these guys on headbangers ball i instantly liked them for their sick style and brutality with guitar and drums
I'm totally hooked on this band now, I'm telling every metalhead I know about them!
