Thanks, Lee. You invite us into your home. You teach us about what you play (and more importantly how you think about basslines). You show us the workings of your band and relationships with others in the craft. Now you take us on tour with you and give us an all access pass. You have a lot of grateful fans out here! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I saw James Taylor there back in the late '70's. I'm sure you were with him, but I was just a youngster and all I cared about was James. They did Mexico for the sound check and today it's still one of my faves. Great videos. Keep 'em coming.
Thank you so much Mr.Sklar for these videos. I can't begin to tell you how much I truly enjoy clips from your travels. I'm so glad that you are on the mend and back at your craft! Thank you sir for all you do, cheers! 🥂
So many historic concerts have been there. Not that *I've* ever been there, but I wish I was close enough to visit it! Very cool to get a tour like this. Thanks Leland!
I spy with my little eye and it is RED. 😬 This is by far the most breathtaking scenery and venue lee has shown us. And imagine those red rocks are shaped like this cause of the wind. Really amazing. Thank you mr sklar. 🙏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the tour, Leland. I've been there once when I was on a business trip to Denver years ago. I didn't get to see what you showed us. Beautiful venue.
Last time I was there (2011) it looked like this. People were “jogging stadiums” up and down the seats. Too crazy for me! No one was playing when I was there - I just had to go see it
Thanks Lee, I always wanted to see Red Rocks up close. I have never been, but If I had one wish to go back in time, it would be to see "The Section" with Jackson Browne running on empty tour in August of 1977 @ Red Rocks.. I never got to go, but from others said it was an amazing show! Bless you and thanks for sharing your life with us. 🤟🏻
Was there last night. A treasure to see Leland and Russ Kunkel perform...two players who graced (seemingly) about every other album I owned in the 1970s. Thanks for keeping it rocking, Leland.
The same couple of commenters who used to advocate the benefits of "magic dirt" will surely complain about the wind noise. It's stunningly beautiful and a venue I have yet to visit. Thanks so much for bringing it home!
I took the Red Rocks tour in Spring of 2018, but there were no shows at the time while I was in Denver visiting, which was SO disappointing. Red Rock is my #1 concert venue Bucket List (along with Carnegie Hall, MSG & the Beacon Theater) and I WILL see a show at Red Rocks within the next year! Thanks for getting in all the backstage areas I missed when I toured Red Rocks. Just a jaw dropping venue! You live such a blessed life, Lee! I can only imagine all the amazing places, people and things you've seen in all your years touring with so many great and talented artists!
What an awe inspiring venue!! You are a blessed man Leland to do what you do. And what's so fresh and inspiring is that gleam you still have for playing and beautiful venues. Cheers brother✌
Thanks for this great tour behind the scenes, Lee! So many interesting rooms, technical stuff and insights the “normal” audience never gets to see. And the view from the stage… just unbelievable! Hope to be there some day! What a magical place. Keep rocking and stay safe! BR from Germany.
Yesss Red Rocks ! I have been looking forward to this video. This venue is on my must go to place. Thank you so much Lee for giving us a tour. The walk up to sound board and veiw was amazing. You all have fun tonight. Wish I was there.
Hey thanks for the tour of RR there young man! I’ve not been but now have a general sense of the flow of the place. It’s quite beautiful. I remember seeing not too long ago the Warren Haynes/Grateful Dead broadcast there. The bassist on that date, Lincoln Schleifer is a guy any bassist should tune in to. One hell of a player man…!
That was amazing. Thank you very much.East Coast Rocker just made my first trip that way to see Widespread Panic. This video was definitely the cherry on top. Thank you Leland..Am a big fan for a long time. Loved all your stories you told about all the musicians you've played with. Sir, you must be in stellar shape. Not even breathing hard. That's really impressive. Love ya and thanks again..Big Time.✌

Hey there, Lee and everyone! What a view! I understand why they did not need to think for any more than five minutes before naming the place Red Rocks.
Thank you so much!! In the late 50s my older brother's Boy Scout troop used to go there. The amphitheater was nothing like it is now. Thank you so much for the wonderful tour!

I forget what the magic dirt was about. Dirt where psychedelic mushrooms were grown? 😀
@@lastnamefirst4035 Something like that. I believe it was a bogus claim used as a "preventive medicine" to avoid COVID - in lieu of the vaccinations.
