You’re so right about how much better it is to engage with the signs and stuff. Honestly when I first played ODST a few years ago I was underwhelmed. But after seeing Sadie’s story I learnt to appreciate the superintendent plot/character and replayed it with that in mind. ODST is weird for me because it still is one of my least favourite Halo games. But I appreciate it so damn much as it is a peace of art made of the passion of its creators more than any other Halo game (Staten has stated it was the best moment of his career as he had the independence of an indie studio but the resources of, well, Halo!). The thing is the Halo pressure does seap through to SOME extent, with the addition of the hud hints seemingly being one of them (most Halo players would get annoyed otherwise). This does damage the experience as you pointed out. But with all art I choose to see it at its best, rather than it’s worst. And it’s best, it’s a masterpiece. Great video dude!
@@TrackingShots yeah no problem. If you want to know I was talking to my dad when watching transformers about how the reason why I love my text tone (which is the superintendent noise) is the same reason why Bumble Bee is cool - I.e the character whose tone it is speaks in prerecorded lines from some other purpose, the superintendent with city lines and Bumble Bee of course through the radio. So I wanted to give him an example so searched up - Superintendent ODST best moments, or something like that. Couldn’t find that but found your vid and marked to watch later and wasn’t disappointed! This video should be way bigger imo as it’s professionally done, very funny, and touches on a topic no one else really has expect maybe the Act Man in his ODST review and Staten himself in the vidoc.
I'm sorry this has nothing to do with the video, but seeing as you've seen much of One Piece, I would love to hear your opinions on that series' world building too! Thanks for the Halo world building breakdown.
Maybe eventually! I love One Piece’s world building, but I have a lot of other series I want to talk about before I start circling back to topics I’ve already touched on.
I would go through them all. The Master Chief Collection is fairly cheap and PC accessible (if that’s your thing). It also has a built in level playlist that is specifically all of the Master Chief games (minus Halo 5, which is not great).
Very underrated video. Deserves more likes

I have no idea how you found this video, but I feel like I made it for fans like you specifically. Thank you for the kind words and for watching!

Can't believe there was no Gathers No Moss lore, smh
My favorite fake Halo ship name!

How do you analyze film and video games like this? And then how do you edit them into a video essay

@@TrackingShots Ok! Hopefully your channel blows up soon, your analyses are next level man.
Should I play halo in order or play halo 5 then play halo infinite

@@TrackingShots ok thank you I was thinking playing them to get to know what happened before halo infinite comes out also keeping it up
