This is Amazing news. I wish we had this in the UK. I'm at the gym twice a week. Lifting heavy. I have a personal trainer. I'm so pleased with what I am achieved.,It's took me 3 months now to get to lifting,60 kgs!! Dead lifts,40 kg. I jump too. Having a Rems test in June to see if I have improved. I fine Rems test is better than Dexa as with Rems, shows the strength of your bones and No radiation.Thank you for your help.❤

I have been trying to get to the class in Wavell Heights but I have been unwell due to seizures I am trying to stop without meds & don't drive, plus have been looking after my mother in very bad pain for 4yrs. I have had to put mum into a home so can now focus on getting myself well, this is so good to hear. I was hoping they might have opened up on the Redcliffe Peninsular but no luck by the looks of it. This is my next challenge, have just started keto diet for seizures

The Onero program is great! I was osteoporotic before I signed up with an Onero program in my local All sports centre. After 12 months ( twice a week) exercise without taking any medications, my bone density improved a lot, I'm no longer osteoporotic.

That's fantastic - I'm thrilled for you. It's such a dreadful condition and trying to find non-drug treatments is a minefield, although I definitely trust Prof Beck's studies. I've only just started - about 2 months in - so still getting the techniques right with the overhead and the squat but I'm firing with the deadlift and heel drops. I've got my fingers crossed!

I enjoy listening to Belinda Beck and have followed her research. I’m ecstatic to have found a physiotherapist closer to where I live (it’s still anhour’s drive each way, but I’ll cope) licensed to run her Onero program and I had my assessment yesterday, starting the program next week - two x 30min sessions each. Cannot stress enough how important it is to work with a qualified clinician with this. The exercises are very much about technique before gradually working into weight. The results of Belinda’s program seem so positive - just hoping it will work for me. I’ve also made dietary changes, practising balance exercises, doing reformer pilates and using a LOW INTENSITY vibration plate (don’t touch the ones that shake you around - too dangerous). I’m anxiously awaiting the outcome of her trial on vibration as bone treatment. Congratulations to Belinda for her determination and intellect to strive for great outcomes for osteo patients. Her Onero program is recognised by Healthy Bones Australia.

Have you used a vibration machine & do they work? I have not done any research on Osteoporosis the last few years as I have had a lot of other health issues to deal with & a sick mother to look after. I have very bad osteoporosis but have not been able to get myself to classes, especially twice a week. I have had a Bone Density at the Bone Clinic back in 2018 & 19 after damaging my hip & shoulder lifting my step father in 2013 which took me years to get back to walking. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis at 30, 30 years ago & have refused all meds. I have had to keep up exercises (only 4kg weights) to keep walking after the damage to my hip & shoulder. I will ring the clinic tomorrow & enquire about this vibration plate

@@LifeIsWonderful675 I've used 2 types of vibration plates - twice I've used the whole body vibration machines via a gym and the second time it gave me severe vertigo that took weeks to recover from. That was before I read about the low intensity vibration studies conducted by Dr Clinton Rubin. I purchased his device and have been using it for 18 months. My last Dexa scan a few weeks back only showed a slowing down in bone loss - no gains. But I had 6 months of illness that prevented me from eating a proper diet, so I'm not sure if that's a factor. I've just started the Onero program and will continue the vibration plate. I'd recommend researching Dr Rubin's work so you get an idea of how it works. I'd personally stay right away from the vibration machines that "shake" you, especially if you have spinal osteoporosis. Good luck. It's quite the journey trying to work out the best ways of protecting yourself, but Professor Beck's work is worth following.

@@magpiegirl3783 Thank you I just found him will & will do some research, a slowing down would be good. Every 2yrs I go back it gets worse. last year my GP told me I have the bones of a 90yr old & tried to get me on drugs again. I am about to listen to the Hidden Truths about Bone Scans, they say they are comparing us to a 35yr old which doesn't seem as bad I suppose

@@LifeIsWonderful675 It’s a tough gig this osteo. When I was diagnosed in 2021, i was shocked. Then i started to research it and was horrified at what potentially lay ahead and ANGRY that my doctor - the medical community - dont’ do much to warn you about it BEFORE you end up with it, then all they offer is drugs. Ive done a lot of research on anything and everything related to osteo and its bloody confusing. You really learn which people are legit and those who don’t have the background to make the claims they do. Dr Rubin, Prof Beck, and SHeeri Betz and Margaret Martin are really on the ball. In fact, Prof Beck is currently doing another trial with 4 groups of osteoporotic women undertaking various exercise regimes and she has included two of the groups using the low intensity vibration. I’m hanging out for the results of that which I believe will be the end of this year. Good luck with your search Laura. There are plenty of women who want and need more structured wholistic guidance through this maze. Every direction you turn seems fraught with risks. Best wishes.
