      foggydrifty 😄 actually i got rid of the tetra and the microbrute for the octatrack. I'm planning some other changes to my setup.

      millolab I thought that was an an Electron. What's your thoughts on the new MPC's?

      @millolab  7 років тому

      not sure what u mean, but yes. i grabbed an Octatrack getting rid of microbrute, tetra and also volca sample. About the MPC live? Well, it's a nice machine... And i considered buying it but after some thinking i got the octatrack! :)

    Blofeld doing the organ-ish pad chords?
    Great tune. Found the bassline and crunchy driving drums to be especially interesting. That snare is really unique.

      Matt Greer Music nope... the organ-ish pad is from the system1m. Blofeld plays the distorted gutarish line. All drums are layered samples on the octatrack.

    Ah, the fragility of that sound is very pleasing.
    You're all mixing it down in that Behringer RX1602 or are you sending it to separate inputs on an audio interface and mix in the box?

    Millo great track once again. Congrats on the new gear. Where's the vocal sample from?

    • @millolab
      @millolab  7 років тому

      Thanks Olivier! The vocal sample is from a great movie called Brazil, by Terry Gilliam.
      I strongly recommend you to watch it! :)

      I've heard about this Terry Gilliam fellow. I think last time I saw Brazil it was when people used Digital Video Discs as a way to watch movies at home. It's like streaming, but they put the stream on a disc first and send that to you in a single large data buffer...

    Sequencing was done by MPC or by Octa? (Or both? :D )

    • @millolab
      @millolab  7 років тому +2

      well.. i was so excited to jam with the octa that what i did was just connecting audio and midi in my old setup and run a pattern, so the sequencing was actualy done on both MPC & Octa... but could have been done entirely on the octatrack.

      millolab eheheh, i know that feeling :)
      I'm thinking about an hw sequencer for my other synths, and I'm struggling between octa, classic mpc and mpc live.
      Cool track by the way!

    • @millolab
      @millolab  7 років тому

      i had the same struggle... then gone for the Octa. Mpc live it's too much like working on a computer...
      I love my MPC500... but... well... :)

      Just my two cents, I picked up an mpc 1000 and it's completely taken sequencing duties away from my PC and I find it excellent. Don't have an Octa though so can't add compare em
