Let me help you out, on the detergent dispenser, the left side is for powdered detergent and the right side is for bleach. In addition, rotate your drum manually clockwise until you see on the top of the drum about a three inch indentation with four holes in it. That is where you pour the softener or vinegar you use to soften your clothes, and the machine will dispense it during the final rinse cycle.
Two suggestions to take or leave: Put a knee high stocking on the end of the drain hose to collect all lint as you don't want to clog your kitchen sink and alert the landlord that you have a washer. They may not like it. Also you can hang your clothes right in your closet (unless your closet is packed with clothes) and put a fan on the floor and aim it at the clothes. I just bought this unit you have and am very excited about using it. Thank you for the thorough tutorial.
Yeah. I honestly think it’s my faucet because before I attached the adapter thingy my faucet was projectile vomiting water out and it wasn’t pretty so ... yeah.....
@@Juliav14 Check the O-rings inside the adapter. If you only have one O ring, put another one in it and see if you can still screw it into the tip of the faucet. If you don't have any O ring, then add an O ring. Moreover, it's always a good idea to drape a rag over your quick connect adapter to prevent the water from splashing everywhere.
Periodically I would recommend a small bleach+ water load to flush out/control bacteria in your hose. Maybe once every month or so. I do this even with my Zeny countertop mini washer.
Great video with a start to finish load. Thanks for your effort in putting this video together. It’ll surely help with my decision to purchase this model.
On these .9 to 3.0 cu. ft. portable automatic washing machines, it doesn't matter one iota which brand you go with. Why? Because they are all made for the various brands by Midea Corporation of China. Hence, no matter the brand you purchase, they are all identical. Indeed, the Black and Decker is identical to the Magic Chef, the RCA, the Comfee, the Panda, etc., etc., etc.The only thing that is different is the brand badging. Hence, for anyone currently looking to purchase one, find the best price regardless of brand and buy it.
Good point and observation, the only problem that I have with mine is that the drainage is a gravity drainage feature and not a push pump like the one this machine shows to have. The gravity drainage is a pain to deal with because you have to have the machine a little bit higher so that the hose hangs down and drains out thoroughly otherwise the machine won't work if the water doesn't drain out the hose properly the machine just pauses until you drain out the water so with mine you have to babysit it and I should have done more research on these machines when it came to the drainage feature.
Hi. Thanks for the good video. I just want to recommend you to check your quick connector, make sure it has one black round rubber inside then connect it back really good to the faucet, if it still running water out try buying the teflon tape at home depot cheap for $2.00. Then wrap the teflon tape around the quick connector, wait at least 30mnts to dry and good to go. Also i bought a pack of 2 lint trap at CVS for a $1.00 and also Amazon sells them. This is for the drain hose, easy to put it in and is very good collecting all the lint coming out from the drain hose. I really hope this works for. 👍
For the lint coming out the drain hose, I just use one of my kitchen strainers. Then when I'm finished my wash, I simply clean the kitchen strainer and put it up
You can probably add another O ring to your adapter to stop that leaking. If not, simply drape a rag over the adapter connection when doing wash. That way the water won't splash all over the place. Indeed, always make sure your connection to the inlet is snug and tight before beginning a wash cycle, drape a rag over the quick connect connection, and then use paracord or some other mechanism to secure your drain hose so it won't fall on your floor and flood your kitchen, and then you won't have to baby sit it if you don't want to.
Just a heads up, you should put a filter on the end that goes in the sink for the used up water cause a lot of lint collects in my little bag that I put over the end of the hose
OMG! Thank you!!!! This was the perfect video for me! Ahh you are a sanity saver! Also, you mention being able to wash thin sheets in it, can you do towels too? They can get pretty bulky when wet... and I hate my luandry mat. Ruins all my clothing. I want to abandon it altogether lol.

Black and decker is the only well known brand that makes portable washers besides magic chef. But quite frankly I trust black and decker more. Also, are you able to run JUST a rinse cycle?
I bought it and idk why but after the first spin and it gets stuck at 7 minutes and doesn't want to rinse again. I only set it to quick wash and large. Pls help
Set your settings on the machine to cold, as opposed to hot. As you don't have it hooked up like a regular washing machine, but instead as a portable washer. Hence, always set your temperature on the machine to cold. Now, you can still do hot, warm, or cold water washing by regulating the temperature manually at the faucet. You do what I just told you and you won't have anymore problems.
@@elizabethnieves94 It does it automatically. As there are sensors that automatically shut off the water when the water reaches the correct level depending upon your settings, i.e, large, medium, or small load.
Can you wash a queen size blanket? There is the .9 cu ft which is much smaller. Definitely no on that one. But you have the 1.6 cu ft. one. Perhaps a queen size blanket will fit in yours?
Once you connect the waterhose and turn the water on, you don't turn the water off again until you're done doing all of your laundry. It will fill with water on it's own for each cycle.
So according to the manual, the water is not properly draining out of the washer. Maybe there is something stuck ? Does it always stop and display that error?
@@Juliav14 it was my first time using the machine but after watching a few videos I noticed the battery for the drain pump wasn’t connected…once I connected it back it started working…Thank you tho ☺️

However, since you only have one hose connected to the cold water inlet from your water faucet, your machine must always be set to cold. Now, this doesn't mean you can only do cold water washings. As you can regulate the temperature via the hot and cold water service valves at the sink. So, for instance, if you are doing a hot wash, disconnect the quick connect, open the hot water service valve and run the water till hot. When hot, shut off the hot water service valve and reconnect the quick connect. Then finally open up the hot water service valve to fill up the drum to begin the wash cycle.
