The M2A4 is an upgraded version of the M2A3 which was the latest version of the Bradley before the Optionally Manned successor The New OMFV came. M2A4 is designed to provide protected transport of soldiers and direct fires to support dismounted infantry, disrupt or destroy enemy military forces, and control land areas.
BAE Systems has integrated a much more powerful engine into the Bradley M2A4, a 675-horsepower diesel engine. With the new Bradley M2A4 engine it travels at a speed of 66 km / h and maximum mileage of 402 km.
Another problem to be solved was the weight of the armored vehicle. They solved the problem by installing lighter tracks, shock absorbers, a new suspension support system, and heavy torsion bars. This opened the door for BAE Systems to provide the Bradley M2A4 engine with a new transmission driven by an integrated power management system.
Electronics and communications have been replaced and BAE Systems says state-of-the-art solutions are integrated. However, some things remain from previous versions of Bradley. The turret is again for two people, the cannon remains 25mm Bushmaster, as well as the ability to fire anti-tank guided missiles TOW from the weapon system. - Наука та технологія
The M2 Bradley is a beautiful military vehicle, I want it to remain operational for many more decades, and never need to be replaced from the useless omfv. And I want it upgraded from M2A3 to M2A4 Bradley!

Need big calibre like 30 mm, 35 mm or 40 mm.
Stunned that the A4 is not upgunned. New 30-50mm autoguns can use smart munitions.
30mm can use smart ammo and you can still carry a ton of ammo..
Upgrade anything by 1% and impact logistics support 10%.

This upgrade will act as a stop-gap until the 2030 replacement comes online.
Why don't they just go ahead and put the 30mm on the vehicle at least on the Cavalry variant, kinda sad that BAE keeps the 25mm when all other nations with a good industrial base are putting 30mm and above on theirs only on America do the MIC keeps short changing our warfighters for the sake of profit
Superior ammo type. Caliber isn't always the answer.
The new snipers are doing away with the 50 cal with superior energy to target at the same range in a lighter weapon and ammo type.
25mm is an amazing round and if it's using depleted uranium that's a wrap.

@@garyreid6165 Problem with that is logistics. You can’t just give a military a new fighting vehicle without the ammunition, tools, recovery vehicles, etc.

Real question is what is the survivability of a Bradley crew in heavy combat? Hopefully more than 5-15min with the new M2A4 upgrade lol. Or is that wishful thinking 🤔
this state of the art fighting vehicle is effective against powerless nation or freedom fighter use Ak 47 produced 1949.
