Excellent job! I like the idea of putting up three walls around the fire pit. Too bad you had to put up with snow before you could finish up. Unfortunately spring will bring out the mosquitoes and black flies to wreak havoc while you finish building camp. If you two were my kids I'd be very proud with what you have accomplished. I look forward to more videos in a few months. Keep up the great work and posting your progress this spring.
Thank you! I figured three would be better then two :). The snow really did screw us over, specifically on the roof. Luckily where I live the mosquitoes and black flies aren't bad. Thank you for the comments though!
Hi Nicholas, I just found your channel and watched the full video. Nice camp! At the beginning you showed your tool bag, I suggest putting a wood brace and a 1/4" and a 1/2" drill bit inside. Having the ability to drill holes for securing two or more pieces of wood together is a plus. You can then use wood dowels or just tie thing's together in a more permanent fashion. Just a thought! Enjoy your time in the woods, I did when I was young and miss being there!
Outstanding job! Really great camp. I especially like the shelter that has an a frame and a lean to. I've never seen that before and it seems that would be ideal. Just subscribed. Really awesome camp!
Thank you! I'm kind of surprised that not many people have seen a shelter like this, it just makes sense to me. It's like a tent and a standard lean-to in one, perfect for all year camping :)
Your camera shots are getting sharper, love the tiny Christmas tree shot toward the end. Comet looked quite cozy in her vest.and I noticed your subs are going up ! Great job !
I Sub'ed also. I just wanted you to know that. You really have some Great video's. I watched your video with your Dad and all of you out hunting together. I Loved that one! =)
Hello Nicholas: I just signed up & am very impressed. The reflector is well done the demo is large the dialogue short & that's a beautiful dog. Thanks Brian 77
I like how solid you made the fire reflector. Any reason you didn't do this on the short side walls of the shelter? The little horizontal sticks currently there don't seem to be dealing well with the snow.
We tried. The only reason I didn't was because I figured it'd take more time. Time was always on our minds out there sadly, when it really shouldn't have been. My regret. Most of the sticks are doing well though, I just knocked a few over by accident before it snowed aha
Nicholas this being so old it hurts my back watching this snow shoveling. Could be you could make longer handle and just hide it in the shelter structure, that way no one will know what it is and won't take it could add years to your bending ability .Happy Trails you to .
Yup the back will probably bother me while I go out and mow the yard and do a few other things and it's all your guys fault . It does our hearts good watching you 2 have such great times out and about, later yard work to do now . Happy trails
Not to mention it protects the fire from the wind in three directions, also if you put a pole across two of the walls you could use it for drying cloths or if you moved it over the fire you could use it for hanging pots. Really no need for the tripod. Nice camp by the way.
Nicholas Wituik It's just an observation. You throw the sticks, you throw the ax, the stones, no, no, the stones are acceptable. Lol. The videos are very good. You live the experience. I have seen almost all your videos ok. I like your videos. Thank you for your attention and good luck .
Well this was a weird video. Are you guys deaf? Just trying to figure why no one spoke. Your dog seems out of place, like a city person left to their own devices in the bush. First video I've seen of silent bushcraft. Thanks?
all that fresh snow can be a good water source, just get a bunch of buckets to hold it all in til you need to melt some, nice looking camp!
We do that a lot! Works very well
LG GERMANY....tolles Video man kann euch nur beneiden, alles GUTE und weiter so... mit den tollen Videos.!
😎
Danke, ich werde es versuchen!
Nicholas Wituik 👍

Thanks! I've been trying aha, we actually named the camp after those trees! She has to wear one because she gets super cold now :/ and yeah it's nice!
Tres bien. Wonderful vid.
The one putz who hit thumbs down is either a troll or jealous. Very relaxing.
Good work, mon Ami.
Thanks! There's always gonna be those few people :)
Nicholas Wituik: That there will be, my friend. I look forward to your future videos.
Top notch stuff, as always
Thanks!
I really like the fire reflector. I am in the process of making one just like it on my channel. Camp looks awesome btw. ATB Patrick
Glad to hear. Make sure you don't set it on fire like I just did last night ahaha. Thank you though
I have burned down at least 2 fire reflectors, that I am willing to admit lol!
Great video man, lovely job on the fire wall. Camp is looking awesome!
Thank you :D
This is an awesome post! Bushcraft Heros ❤️
Looks so good you guys! Love Comets jacket, best dog ever!
Thanks :D She always gets cold now since she has short hair so we had to put one on her
I think Comet needs a camera attached to her and she can have her own youTube channel of her wilderness adventures ❤️
Nice work. I enjoy your video A Lot! Thanks.
Nice to hear
I Sub'ed also. I just wanted you to know that. You really have some Great video's. I watched your video with your Dad and all of you out hunting together. I Loved that one! =)
Thank you! That was a fun video to shoot, but was hard on the body aha
Hey nice channel bud I like your videos
Thanks!
Good video
Thank you!

Glad to hear. Welcome to UA-cam! Thanks for the comment, also my dog appreciates the attention
Enter locking corners would make it bullet proof. Happy Trails .
It really would aha

Super!
Thanks!
Leave the protruding sections of the posts without cutting them off and run paracord between them to hang and dry items when needed.
Could someone please explain how the firewall works and what it's for? I'm trying to learn about it, but I haven't been able to find much information
The main uses of them are reflecting heat and blocking wind, but I also use mine as a drying rack etc
Build to last
Nice Fire structure
Atb
Steve
It will last if Forestry doesn't destroy it aha
Making one in my yard
Awesome! Hope it turns out :D

That's actually a great idea, I may do that today actually. That shovels length is convenient when you aren't using it but when you are it sucks
Yup the back will probably bother me while I go out and mow the yard and do a few other things and it's all your guys fault . It does our hearts good watching you 2 have such great times out and about, later yard work to do now . Happy trails
Sorry about that!
What model shovel was that anyways? Looks very lightweight for packing.
Rossy Burns sorry, I just saw this. It's a BCA ski shovel
Thanks for the video. If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to do 3 walls instead of one ? Have a great week. - Josh
No problem. I figured it'd look a bit better and direct the hear towards the shelter more :)
Not to mention it protects the fire from the wind in three directions, also if you put a pole across two of the walls you could use it for drying cloths or if you moved it over the fire you could use it for hanging pots. Really no need for the tripod. Nice camp by the way.
Eccellente
:)
Excellent series of videos. I hate seeing you packing up and going home. When will you stay there?
eddie byrne, my thoughts also Sir
We actually just did for 5 days! We did a 3 day overnighter video and then camped an extra 2 days off camera.
Like , brazil.. ❤🍃
je pense que je t'ai vu dans red dead 2 ^^
John Marston ou MICAH BELL?
If only they used canvas
It must be cold if the dog has to have a coat.
It sure was hahah, she doesn't handle cold very well. Even when she was a huge sheep
Why do you throw everything? In previous videos you also throw things.
John Saint Vincent Not sure what you mean. Do you mean the rocks?
Nicholas Wituik It's just an observation. You throw the sticks, you throw the ax, the stones, no, no, the stones are acceptable. Lol. The videos are very good. You live the experience. I have seen almost all your videos ok. I like your videos. Thank you for your attention and good luck .
I don't recall throwing my axe unless it was the tomohawk because that thing is meant for throwing lolol, thank you though! Thanks for the comments :)
Nicholas Wituik Thanks to you for your good vibes and for your charisma.

Shawn Rufus opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
