So glad I found your channel. I love a good chat or dissertation, but your camera coverage and editing is so excellent, I am not left with questions about what you are doing or how. Sure, the minor details about what knot you used, what brand or model of _______ you have, etc is not laid out, but it doesn't take away from your videos. From what I've seen, you answer comments and questions, so I'm sure if someone really had to know something, they could just ask. Subbed!
That's the idea. I get to show what I do without having the awkward camera chat I'm trash at! ahah. I mostly just use Canadian jam knots for everything paired with a overhand knot. Ask away though! Sorry I didn't see this comment I don't get notifications from some of them I'm noticing so I'm going through making sure to reply to all of them :). Thank you for the sub!
Hey Nicholas. Second video of yours I have watched and enjoyed, thanks mate! I have a question for you. With the first two horizontal beams you cut for the table, rather than tying them in place, could you not carry a small hand drill and a half inch or so Auger bit. That way you could drill through the would a couple of times and then quickly carve yourself a few (2 for each corner of the table) dowels from twig type material? You could then, if you wanted, take things a step further and use dowels and cuts to locate each of the horizontal timbers of the table too. Once you get used to doing this with wood, you will never cease to find another use for a hole and dowel rather than keep spending your hard earned money on paracord etc. Sure, Auger bits aint the cheapest. But like your knife, if you look after it and don't go over taxing it - trying to get it to do things its not made to do - then a pair of auger bits will last you for years and years!
That would be the ideal thing to do but I didn't have the money for really anything back then. That paracord I was using was super old. I'm for sure going to do that though sounds so much better then wasting tons of new paracord.
Sadly it does not. I'm going to try to make videos but I now live beside the Canadian Pacific and the Trans Canada Highway. So it may be super noisy :( No more peaceful wilderness ambience. We'll see. I now live in a Marsh, should make some interesting videos honestly. I've never done Bushcraft in a marsh/swampland before c:
Thanks for subscribing! It's an extremely old Black Diamond Montreal pattern axe. I actually found it in the woods completely rusty with a rotted out handle. I fixed it up clearly haha
The quality of your videos is excellent. It must take you a very long time to make them. Hats off to you. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. - Josh
Thanks! Takes me awhile, mostly just editing rather then the actual recording. You too though :)
Lovely video man, very relaxing. You deserve way more subs, we will do our best to help 👍🏼
Thank you! :) That'd be so greatly appreciated 😄😀
Love your videos ! And that is the best example I've seen yet of how to use an axe !
Great job all round
Thanks :), and really? Man when I was cutting that tree down I was cringing at how inaccurate I was aha
Nicholas Wituik yes, you were getting huge bites at a time made me wonder if you were angry at someone lol
Ahah wasn't mad at anyone, just wanted to get the tree down :)
Nature Lover+ one of my first impressions was how quick and hard this lad could swing an axe. Then noticed his accuracy.
This is a Great channel. Reminds me of another channel where the fella shows action rather than words. Great job and BC heroes were right.
Thank you!

So glad I just found this channel. Beautiful work. Who makes your axe might I ask🪓?
All the axes I use are no longer made anymore, mostly Walters Co.
Thank you for writing the names of plants. I, too, do so, if it possible
No problem, make sure you do your own research though. I'm not a reliable source of information
I ate so many thimble berries growing up, love those things.
subbed,,,,,,,thank you for taking the time to share
Thanks for the sub!

Hopefully wherever you're moving to will have an even better place to build a camp.
