    One of the best collection videos for me, a new FP enthusiast! The presentation, narration all of it. A joy to watch and listen to and lots of pen to consider owning. Great job and I’m sure it was a lot of work. Very much appreciated!

    I love the Kakunos I have - All of mine are demonstrators and I love to use them with shimmer inks

    Hi! Thankful for your wonderful year end video. You have an incredible collection of pens. I particularly like that Pilot Elabo or Falcon. I have one myself, and it's amazing.
    It's a 26 year old Namiki-branded Elabo in a very wet broad. It is delightful to write with.

      Ooooo. I really want to try and get into vintage Pilot and Platinum next year. I always hear such good things about them. Thanks so much for watching!!

    Perhaps you would enjoy something from Opus 88. Their eyedropper filing system that has a shutoff valve is a fun change of pace from cartridge/converter and piston filling systems. Here's wishing you a great 2024! 🎉

      I've been thinking about picking an Opus 88 up for a while now, so it's good to hear someone actively recommend it for me. It seems like such a fun little system, and I love the exclusives Endless Pens brings in. Have you ever had any issues with the shutoff valve?

      No problems, just be sure to be holding the pen upright (nib pointing to the sky) when you unscrew the section. 🫣 The models come in a variety of sizes from pocket pens to very large. I think "Minty" is my favorite although I like them all. 🙂

      @@snarkywordsworth I love your ink mixes! I have been on a spending spree for too long but I now have 4 Esties, 4 bespoke pens with potentially 3 more on the way, a Leonardo, and I’m trying to find a decent price on a Nahvalur Miami.

    Lovely collection! Thanks for sharing. One day I would love to add a Pelikan M400 to my collection. Hope to try one out at a pen show next year.

    That first Sailor you showed is called the Sailor 1911 Casual. It used to cost about $40 (5000 yen)

    • @snarkywordsworth
      @snarkywordsworth  5 місяців тому

      Hello! Thanks so much for watching! From what I understand, the 1911 Casual line features a steel nib, and if you are referring to my ivory-colored Sailor, that is a 14k nib. The only steel Sailor I have is the sparkly black one from the Procolor line.

    • @Edico999
      @Edico999 5 місяців тому +1

      @@snarkywordsworth Yes I was referring to the first Sailor with the dark blue (black?) sparkly finish. There were so many models maybe I'm wrong, and Sailor names the pens differently in overseas markets. Anyway thanks for posting the informative video.

    Your platinum sakura-oof!!! Love it! Perfect match with my Kubozakura! Sister pens! And I’m so glad the winter rain is a success and win for your writing experience and collection! She’s quite the little dream pen! I love it in my collection too! :) I do notice that a lot of people seem to enjoy the milky translucent bodies and caps more on Sailors, that’s why the sound of rain series is so coveted! Not many people seem to comment much on my sanctuary blue, which I think is just so cute and dazzling, but toned down due to the darker colors. I love your galaxy looking Sailor though, it’s pretty!

    • @snarkywordsworth

      The Kubozakura!! Such a pretty, pretty pen. There's something about clear/translucent finials that just make Sailors look so delicate and posh.

    OH MY GOD!!!!!! I recorded 3 times too!! I did not like the lighting in the second run, the first run wouldn't download to my PC (because it was way too long), and then I mixed my 2nd and 3rd take together xD So excited to see all your pens! I love your storage!! Very lovely, simple, compact, and holds a lot!!

      By the third recording I had almost lost my will to live. I was totally that angry panda gif flipping tables over when I found all the audio issues during my second recording. And I still don't know what happened. I almost never have tech issues (knock on wood), so it was especially annoying to find them on an hour long video. LOL

    • @jannahlyon

      Totally feel both of you on this pain point! I just got a new phone and the camera is just wacky!! It is the 14 pro and it keeps jumping from focus to out of focus - I had to record like 4 times because of this, then my mic was not picking up and then my phone died halfway through - agreed, a total panda flipping table situation!!! 😂 For what it is worth Kristy, this video turned out great, very informative and enjoyable :)

    Very nice collection, but we are missing out on Italian pens :) Just the Mairora. You like smooth nibs, so I think you'll like the Italians. YOu might also like Waterman pens. But if you are a tiny writer Japanese are probably best.
    I love glassy smooth nibs, and thus Pelikans are right up there, probably my second favorite. There is a nib that is even smoother than Pelikan and that is the the original OMAS nib. Now that is a nib.

    • @snarkywordsworth
      @snarkywordsworth  7 місяців тому

      I'm definitely hoping to explore more Italian pens this year, and I have a couple Italian grail pens that go on my "to buy" list every year that I never get around to. Maybe 2024 will be the year. :) Thanks so much for watching!!

    What ink color did u pair your decimo with? I have the same one and i agree i love it i use it the most comoared to my pilot custom 823, but now i want to put a oink ink to pair with my decimo champagne pink instead of the onyx black that it has on right now

      @snarkywordsworth  7 місяців тому

      I use Pilot Iroshizuku Yama Budo in it quite often when I'm at work (since it's dark enough to be "serious"), but if I want a bright pink, I pop in Pilot Iroshizuku Kosumosu. Let me know what pink you end up using, though - I'm always on the lookout for new options! 😍

      Oh! I just remembered another one that I love to use is Ferris Wheel Press' Spadina Rose. No shimmer, but good shading, and it's just a really pretty color. 😍

      @@snarkywordsworth i also havepink shade in pilot iroshizuko tsusuji but i have in another pen. I was weighing between jacques herbin bouquet d’ antra and robert oster dusky pink, and after almost an hour writing, swatching lol, ive finally decided on the latter, as r.o. dusky pink is more wetter in decimo nib compared to the j.herbin bouquet and more readable as bouquet is in a lighter pink shade. And i love it 🥰
